Do I need to get proper sleep to improve? I can't fall asleep so I can only spend my time drawing.
>>2868487
step one : stop posting shitty little witch academy pics i see this shit on almost every thread, so im pretty sure its the same person so fucking stop
step two : fucking sleep
Yes, without sleep, you're pretty much murdering your own body and mind. Once you're mind broken you'll remember to sleep.
I want to become a painter bros
I can't paint, draw, or do anything.
Where the hell do I start? I don't particularly want to pay for art classes at a local community college or something.
I mean I imagine most great artists went to some type of art school, but I don't have time for it now anyway
heres a thought: start painting
>>2868243
Like, do I start from being a good sketch artist first?
>>2868248
No, you start by drawing shapes and manipulating them in space.
Why do so many ask "how long will it take to do x" instead of just.... doing it. Is this a generational thing? The time you spend theorizing cheat codes you coud be grinding out work and learning from your mistakes. More fulfilling, imo. Annnnnnd pretty sure the ladies some of you pine for would be more down for someone with a strong work ethic than "get gud quick schemes"
>Is this a generational thing
No. You're stupid.
This entire thread's basis is vapid ego stroking for yourself and to start shit with no value for the board at all.
You have no put any thought into the argument you would like to present.
You are a troll and I wish /ic/ had less of you.
>>2867447
Okay. Zoning in on the one thing that bites at your feelings. Cool.
I mean I can sympathize, I asked the same shit when I was a little younger, but... learned otherwise after buckling down a little. Maybe the kids asking those questions are just kids.
>>2867442
>>2867459
wtf
what makes people become this retarded
What does /ic/ think of environmental art?
I recently discovered Christo and Jeanne Claude's work and fell in love. Can you recommend any similar artists?

When I look at these kinds of drawings, I really wonder just how long it would take to get to this kind of level. It makes me feel like I'll never be able to get there even though in the back of my head I know I have to keep drawing and learning. What keeps you going
>>2864670
I enjoy it and the result I get
Also I somehow managed to create a habit where I can't be happy without drawing anymore
>>2864675
This reminds me
You need more than just one thing keeping you going
People tend to only think in short or long term goals
But you need goals in the middle too
Not so much goals but perhaps achievements is the right word
Without them it's a journey to unsatisfaction
Just to get the juices a-flowin'.
Dumping a few that I like, if that's alright.
holy fuck im dead
these network drawing things keep getting better

Hey,
Just wondering what is the name of this type of art... I don't know anything about art, so not even sure if there is a category name per say.
Would love to buy a replica canvas of some of this paintings.
Would appreciate the help.
Thanks
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Fuck you Lava
>>2866554
something about having multiple images as the OP makes it look so much better. i like it.
>>2866560
i have a funny feeling that is is actually lava attacking his own efforts.
What drawing tablet are you using, /ic/? I worry mine is too small, it's smaller than A5-paper.
I use a phone
>>2870424
Wacom Small obviously
Will you buy this?
Me?
I'm not convinced.
What would you tell them, /ic/?
Why are you mocking people that are actually doing something with their time?
Is this even legal?
how do I loomis in proper perspective, 3 point??
you read further
>>2870065
>not using 7.5point perspective
not gonna make it
>>2870510
5.1 is superior imo
So I jumped back into drawing to teach myself and decided on drawing each day but already after just a week I'm finding I don't care about the stuff I'm drawing at all and am doing it mindlessly. I'm thinking about just finding something random to draw instead of practicing figures and portraits, anyone else get this kind of feeling?
>>2870159
Not gonna make it.
>>2870159
>anyone else get this kind of feeling?
No, because I'll make it
Yes, it's a vicious cycle and I'm at it right now too, anon
>draw shit mindlessly
>realize I'm in my comfort zone
>try to draw harder poses and shit, challenge myself
>realize I don't have the skill ro knowledge to do that right now, having to rework everything over and over, still can't get anything right
>look for a reference to study
>too shit to get it right
>frustrated by my failures
>get back to mindlessly sketching shit in my comfort zone
>hate myself and want to die
I know the key is to keep working harder and push myself even as I fail but it's so frustrating.
