What's the key to drawing cute girls?

>tfw he wrote a keys to drawing, but not a keys to drawing cute girls
Easy.

Symmetrical faces. Big eyes, small mouth.
Soft colors.
>>
>>2862975

To add to this, relatively smooth features and an under-emphasized nose. It doesn't need to be anime tier, but the better defined the nose the less cute it's going to be.

Connect with your inner critic. "Myself, is this cute?" "No. Fucking erase it and do it again slightly differently." And study and look at references.

Anyone know where to find artistic nude references of chubby or larger women?

I know this sounds stupid, but when people say "just draw" should I simply look at stuff and draw? I spend many hours reading materials on frameworks to identify proportions and other techniques and I feel very anxious that I won't be able to apply them, so I end up not drawing.

Should I forget these things for a while and just look at things and draw?

I know this sounds really stupid but it's a real block I have.

How can i find what this symbol means?
There is this artist that uses it as a "logo", but it appears to have a deeper meaning to it, probably religious or something. Is there a way, a website, to know what it means?

"It is somewhat medieval. celtic. It look like."

here is 3 celtic knot found on google image. last one is related to the circle of life, look it up.

the shape look like tri-circle with a dot in the middle. The size are coming from 3 connection big then smaller until connecting to a second circle: concept of infinity.

the drawing is better than the writing

sup /ic/ thought I'd share something I finished today

Its an album cover for an electronic music duo who make some pretty bonkers IDM / breakcore.

themes I was working on are obviously the idea of an opressive society alluded to by the title they gave me, one of the tracks samples the film Zardoz - all things alluding to a downfall/subjugation of our civilisation.

additionally I had just finished reading hyperion and fall of hyperion which at its core is the idea of humanity needing 'atonment' .... and bill cypher.

any photoshop gurus who want to pick apart my photobashing are more than welcome, as are any other critiques.

- Your kerning is not very good, especially in 'RAVE'.
- Typography treatment does not go beyond the most basic Photoshop layer style effects. Makes it look cheap.
- Looking at the album title, I can see that the E's, W's and R's are the same. So you used a ready-made lettertype. That's ok, but it's a pity you didn't actually made them different after the initial transformation. That also makes it look cheap.
- Band name is placed badly, like an afterthought. I can imagine you thinking "I've got this cool symmetric design, but where the hell do I put the band name. Ugh, ok I'll put it in the corner somewhere."

I do not have any specific comments on the overall design and execution. It's not really my taste, it isn't terrible, but it also doesn't make me go wow. Good contrast and colours, though.
If possible, I'd fix the things I mentioned. It might be worthwhile. I do not know about other anons, but I have actually picked CDs in the music store based on the cover (I did dump a lot after a trial listen, but the point is that a good cover does influence me).

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.

Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, have fun!

Why do you keep your clip attached to your mechanical pencil (or lead holder) /ic/?

Do you dislike being able to comfortably rotate your lead to get a better edge to render with? Surely you don't actually use it to clip to your pocket because you use a pencil bag to carry your materials.

The first thing I do with any newly purchased mechanical pencil (or lead holder) I intend to draw with is to pull off that nuisance clip.
