Douglas Adams used a Macintosh. Douglas Adams found the meaning of life.

>Adams was known as an advocate for environmentalism and conservation, as a lover of fast cars, cameras, technological innovation and the Apple Macintosh, and as a "devout atheist".
So a literal fedora tipper.

You're dumb.

For a writer in the 80s and 90s, a mac is the obvious choice. He needed word processing and back then mac did the office suite well.

Also, he didn't 'find' the meaning of life. Deep Thought found the answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything to be 42. Then Earth was created to find the question, which ended up being "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?"

The late 90s, early 00s iMacs were pretty good for their time. They weren't powerful compared to cheaper PCs (like apple products today)
But they were cozy and were good simple computers with Mac OS 9 (the last good Mac OS) .
The worst thing about them were the hockey puck mouse that came with the earlier versions

Why does this crap uses so much memory?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Are you on 2GB or RAM o what?

If you have less than 8GB on 2017 you're just playing dumb.
And that means that the OS takes just 10% of the total memory.

Stop being an autist

I bet you use 90% of your system resources with a bunch of garbage electron "apps" for doing simple tasks

Because it's a bloated piece of shit that runs a modified version of GNOME shell and fucking Compiz too.
I have no idea how it managed to survive so long.

Did proprietary software win?

C# looks very tempting to use, coming from C++ and Java.

But what problems would I have with using C# and Visual Studio?

Has anybody tried out this interface?
Youtube subbing tool.

You should. It's the most clunky and laggy and ugly interface ever.
Not joking, selecting a textbox takes up to 5 seconds. 5 seconds from typing to seeing anything appearing on the screen. The lag is higher than a sales manager on Saturday night.
I tried out every browser in my inventory, nothing does the trick.

Fuck it.

Pale Moon is furryshit but at least it's more reliable than Firefox.
Most security and tracking garbage that you have to tweak on Firefox are default on Pale Moon.
>>
i meant the tracking is disabled on pale moon and it has higher security protocols enabled by default

About 2 days ago I started to see these lines on my camera app. They look kind of like cracks, but they have this really odd perfectly straight grid thing going on. It's only on the rear camera and they don't seem to make the image any worse; they're just a really awful distraction and mess up the pictures with them being included. Otherwise the image quality is the same as usual. I don't see any physical cracks at all on the big lense thing on my camera; would it be possible that they could be on the inside? Are they even cracks at all? I'm quite puzzled here. The phone is a Galaxy S7 Edge that is just shy of a year old. I'm really gentle with it so I really doubt that it was caused by a drop. I just want to know what it is, how it was caused, and if I can fix it.

Here is an image with the camera zoomed in; the lines are zoomed in too which makes it seem like it would be a physical feature but I can't see a thing on the exterior lense.

I have spent the past little while researching and I can't find anything similar. If nobody knows here, where would be the next best place to ask?

Does it do of in another camera app?

Are DLNA, PLEX and SMP SSD friendly?

A Raspberry Pi can handle Plex streaming?
>>
>>61884907
Yes, at least 3 Model B can, I don't know about older versions. This is my first one
>>
>>61884948
Well sense Plex mostly just does reading information off the disc in order to stream I can't imagine it being that hard on an SSD.
