Hey /fit/! I want to share a bit of my personal story with you today in order to say thanks to the whole board and also to give hope to the desperate fatfucks lurking in the shadows here (yes I know you do exist. I was one of you) Up until approx the age of 22 I was a real thin dude, physically active but not actually workingout though.Things started to go downhill for me after I moved in with my first steady girlfriend. She wasn't a slob, but we somehow ended up spending a lot of time at home together "chilling". Activities outside of our home soon declined to going for daytrips or just a short walk. Well about 5 years later we broke up but I continued to live the life I experienced with her. My routine was pretty much 9 -10 hours of work (walking out of my office to get a coffee was the most physical action there), going home to warm shitty fastfood or eat take away food and spend my evenings with movies or videogames.
Around march 2017 I realized that I don't want to continue living my life that way. I weighed about 85 kg (187,4 pounds) at 1,77m (5,8 ft). I was upset with my shape and my life in general so I convinced myself to do something about that and start immediately. This was the time that I browsed /fit/ for the very first time and I'm absolutely sure now that the sticky here saved my life. I read it and started to plan a routine that I thought was possible to implement in my daily tasks.
I started out really slow since my body was absolutely unprepared for any average workoutload. The most basic exercizes made me sore in the beginning, something that must be totally unbelievable to a vast majority of people (including modern me). But! I lost 10 kgs of weight now by doing 30 min of real basic shit at home daily (curls, situps..) combined with some diet advices I took from the sticky as well. In hindsight it honestly doesn't even feel like I had to change that much. It was all about awareness for me. So thanks /fit/! Thanks a lot! You saved me..

Anyone get angrier than usual after getting /fit/?

I started working out because I thought the weight loss and exercise would make me feel better. If anything, I just get more wound up and angry, whereas before I was very depressive and apathetic.

Anyone else know this feel?

Yes! Especially after I started deadlifting and seriously reduced alcohol intake. I like to feel wound up and angry.

Why is it everytime I eat fast or junk food, I gain weight? I'm tracking calories with myfitnesspal and always stay within the correct amount of calories yet if I eat just one cookie (within allowed calories), I undo 2 days of hard work? In the pic, any fluctuation is when I ate a Subway sandwhich or just a cookie or a small shake or a burger when I left myself 1k calories to eat it... wtf.

Im bulking, I just finished an almost 40lb cut so I'm walking my calories back up slowly. My biggest gains goblin is binging after sex because I'm actually getting laid now, so I'm glad to be finally allowed a surplus

Having some serious trouble getting back into a routine. My BF is like a freaking tornado in the morning and I can't seem to get out of here before him. I used to wake up at 5am just to get out of here before he woke up.
Also dealing with some serious DOMS. Hobbling around.
How do you get back into it?

Just gotta take it a week at a time, after 3 or 4 weeks it will become habitual job done.

DOMS is shit, I started up again after a few years off and did a full-body boxing workout, was crippled for days after that and couldn't sleep because of the pain.

All better now though and the n00bgainz are motivating af

Hey /fit/, I know this is kinda weird to post but its an anonymous mongolian scribbling cave so what the hell.

My mother is fat, she's simply not getting any exercise, she stands and works every day for two shifts and she doesnt have the time to eat reasonably and eat well. All would be great if my dad wasnt fired recently because younger workers + pension. So I recently ordered my supplements on MyProtein and by chance received a 35% off coupon. Since I already planned to help my mother lose weight through vitamins and fruit, I was maybe thinking if anyone had some idea what to get on that specific site, to help her lose weight, by I dunno, some weight loss whey or protein bars of vitamins. so help a /fit/izen out?

If anything helps she's 54y, 160cm tall, 80kg. She works until 2 pm in the school, then tutors from 4 pm to 9. Shes feeling okay, but always tired and unhappy for gaining weight, so I need something to help her lose the fat, but keep the energy and nutrients intake.
