What does /fit/ think of martial arts as a method of getting /fit/ ?
gud enuff, you'd be working alot harder in any martial arts gym as appose to a regular gym anyway
Youd g3t better at said martial art by also working out but its also good

Depends what you mean by /fit/. If you want bigger muscles, lift weight. If you want better cardio, train cardio. If you want to be a better fighter, train in martial arts. If you just train fighting you'll get cardio and probably build your muscles , but the results will be sub-optimal compared to training for what you actually want.

Martial arts will build serious cardio at competitive level.
For reference, when I was in a team climbing a >5000m peak a couple years ago, the only guys I was having a hard time to keep up with were
>an ultrarunner/trail runner
>a fellow martial artist/former special forces madman who liked things such as running up Mt. Ventoux for shit and giggles
They are great if you enjoy brain damage along with your improved cardio.
