Deadlifts feel really shitty whenever I do them. I feel like my lower back takes more of a beating than it should and the lift just feels awkward. I'm not sure if the lower back soreness is because my form is bad or if it's just because I'm weak from being so sedentary.

Could any of you give me any advice? I've started doing back extensions after every workout in order to strengthen my lower back. My lower back gets pretty sore from those too (but the soreness fades quickly) which makes me think that I'm probably just weak. Still, a more experienced opinion would be appreciated.

Not sure if it matters but my best lifts are:
bench - 115 lbs 3x5
squat - 185 lbs 5x5
deadlift - 185 lbs x 6 (could probably go heavier but the lift feels too awkward)

The bottom portion of the lift should burn mostly your hams,glutes and quads(quads less so).
Use your flexed lats to hold constant contact of the bar with your body.

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure you should be bending your knees somewhat more so you bring your hips lower while bracing against the weight. This puts it a bit more on your quads and eases it up on your low back.

What you're doing looks a bit more straight legged.

Welp /fit/

I have stalled on my lifts:
OHP 50 kg
Bench 57.5 kg
Squat 62.5 kg
Deadlift 122.5
Like 2 chinups.

I do the conventional 5x5, tried some days 3x5
I know my sleep has been less than ideal and I've been stressed out. I have been stalling since April I guess.

The thing is, I have added substantial size and mass. When I met friends they noticed I've gotten clearly jacked.

Shouldn't my strength increase with my added size? Wtf?

Should I start mixing up my rep-ranges? I want to get stronger, I don't care about looks, I still look like shit, only more muscular.

I'm 183cm, 96 Kg

Can someone explain why hotels have some really bad gyms?

i'm in one and all they have is yoga mats, treadmills, weights up to a whopping 5 pounds and this monstrosity that i don't even want to get close to.

I never work out calfs

What should I do /fit/? If I try starving myself by taking out more calories my brain stops functioning at work and study. Not the best computer programmer and I need this summer for studying so I can get a leg-up. I eat giant bowls of kale because it gives off a meaty texture.

Coach Sommers and anecdotes from here, the foundation forums and reddit suggest thay with proper BW training you can get bretty strong, but if your goal is strength, you're better off getting a barbell and weights.

Yesterday, was a hardly worthy work out day. I had many lifts to try that day. But my card was not accepted at the gym. My step mom canceled our joint membership because I did not mow the lawn. Now all I can do is run around the neighborhood while my disgusting husk of a body violently slams downward with each step. The membership was all I had. So long /fit/. I tried friend. I live in a very small town and my step mom owns 2 out of the 4 businesses in the surrounding area. One of those businesses is the gym I was blacklisted from. The other two shops hate my "family" and would never hire me.

What are the best resources for stretching? Not interested in doing yoga, I'm just looking for good stretching techniques...

Noticed recently that my one leg is much tighter than my left leg in almost every way I can stretch it. Not sure if its the way I'm sitting or what.
