I had a friend I grew up with throughout high school who had extreme facial deformity, swollen lips, acne riddled face (extreme to the fact that his whole face was red and in pain), and he ended up marrying a really attractive girl and they have a baby girl now. She married him because he's genuinely one of the kindest people I've ever known, and showers her with affection/makes her laugh. She could have found any other guy, but she chose him.

The only reason you can't find anyone is because of your own hang ups and self esteem issues. If someone that's butt ugly and broke can get a girlfriend, so can you.

I'm an esoteric Christian, and I think that your model for salvation is probably a waste of time anyway... if all you think about Christianity is living "pure" and getting rewarded in some afterlife, then there is no essential spiritual difference your Christianity and Islam.

My gf wants to just cut sarah out, but I have a feeling Sarah will just go and make up with this other friend group and then turn her (and the rest of us) into pariahs. Similarly John is one of my best friends but he’s a very private person who evidently still has feelings for Sarah and I don’t know how to approach the topic without him feeling like his privacy has been invaded.

I think that my GF should take advantage of the fact that Sarah thinks so little of her that she can make a fool out of her and play along with the game to ultimately deny Sarah any other avenues of escape.

Honestly it’s not nice to see my best friend cucked and my GF betrayed, I just wonder what a fresh pair of outside eyes would make of this before I do anything when Sarah, John and my GF return.
