This may not be very /x/-related, but the goal of spiritual endeavors seems to be getting back to nature and finding yourself.
I am a human which is a form of animal, yet I don't realise this.
Are there any spiritual teachings that explain about how we can return to the natural animal state?
>>17971255
>return to the natural animal state
You got it all backwards.
>>17971263
I kind of think if we're aware of the flesh we can evolve beyond it, instead of pretending it isn't there all the time.
What's your take on it?
>>17971255
Every human has a spirit animal. The highest is a bear, followed by wolves, owls, Hawks, and elk.
The lowest are mosquitoes and blackfly's, and other flying biting insects. Also worms.
Usually you are not afraid of your spirit if it's good, while if it's bad you are terrified. Like an unnatural fear of spiders, or if you think you could tame a bear.
can the very fabric of reality itself be visualized or manifested in a physical way? or would it instead be shown as a code or as numbers?
>>17970957
when you get to a level of abstraction such as that the entirety of creation appears in front of you it will manifest as a sentient blob of chrome liquid.
>>17970957
>Can reality be manifested in a physical way?
Yes
Dude it is. Your eyes just aren't equipt to see on the atomic scale. This is one of those rare instances of a dumb question
Anyone have experiences with the hooded man ritual elevator game or any other paranormal games (bloody Mary, three kings, one man hide &seek)

Yeah. Bloody mary. Fucking nothing happened
>>17969908
op plz dont do the elevator game glitch.

Not many people talk about the midnight man game
So what's the one conspiracy that is most broadly accepted as credible by /x/?
>>17969892
That /x/ is overrun by normie faggots who have nothing in common with 4chan and are more suitable for sites like tumblr and facebook.

That no ghosts or paranormal things are real and you're all here trying to justify a sense of emptiness that comes with modern society.

If no one's gonna remember why bother telling us in the first place
>>17969924
You ever warn somebody that if they do something and if they do it they will get hurt because of there actions and they dont listen and get hurt anyways and you have to feeling of "i told you so."? Thats why.
>visual present on Halloween
Just who the hell do you think I am!?
Remember "The Land Before Time"? There's this weird fan forum I found for it called TheGangOfFive. Everyone is like... abnormally friendly and wholesome, and it's still active to this day for some ungodly reason. It's kinda like the "Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary" of internet forums.
>>17969637
>Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary
Elaborate.
>>17969665
>Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary
it's a facebook page/group
>>17969637
it only seems weird because you've been on this imageboard for so long

The Watchers were fallen angels from the Book of Enoch, I suggest you read up on them, before you continue in this thread.
The Watchers after falling from heaven went to Mount Hermon.
Source: http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/boe/boe009.htm
One third of the Angels fell from heaven.
Source: http://biblia.com/bible/esv/Rev%2012.4
Mount Hermon's coordinates are 33.4162° N, 35.8570°
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Hermon
The 33 is interesting to note, but the other is off.
How do we amend this?
The current Greenwich Meridian wasn't the first we used. The first was actually in Paris, and the Paris Meridian is 2 degrees east. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_meridian
33% of angels landed at 33, 33
This shows that the Book of Enoch isn't something to be ignored, but what more is there? Are the watchers good, or evil, or both? They taught humanity, but fought God. From a Gnostic perspective are they good guys?
What are your thoughts on the watchers?
>>17969583
Interesting thread OP. The story of the watchers is similar to that of prometheus. They are fallen angels but not the luciferian kind. They just fell enamored with mankind and taught em stuff much like good ol prom, and got chastised for it bound in darkness (rock for prom) till the end of times. All these stories are symbolic and exist for many religions and cultures including greek, egyptian, norse and so on.
>>17969611
I believe Prometheus gets freed eventually in Greek mythology. Maybe the Watchers are freed eventually too.
I'll have to go skim over the apocalypses, and find what didn't make sense then, that does make sense now.
>>17969583
These are two separate events in separate time frames.
"The Book of Enoch, The Prophet" (300BCE-50CE), beginning in Chap VII, discusses the pre Deluge events regarding the Watchers. Samyaza's Horde of 200 Watchers would have come to Earth during, or prior to, the life of the Patriarch Enoch (c. 3,382-3017 BCE)
Revelation 12
When the woman was about to give birth (v. 1 & 2), the moon was at her feet. She was not on Earth.
(v. 3) Dragon appeared in Heaven
Revelation 12:4 states "Its [the Red Dragon's] tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth."
This discusses stars and not angels.
This verse is highly debated and yes, many believe that 1/3 of the angels fell.
Even if the Stars were to be considered Angels, they could not merely be the 200 Watchers enumerated in "Enoch". Revelation 5 had previously spoken of "myriads of myriads". This is 10K * 10K or 100 Million angels.
And. Revelation is in the future (after c. 70 CE)
>33% of angels landed at 33, 33
You're being silly.
There is no indication that Angels in Revelation landed on Mount Hermon. That was the Watchers in "Enoch".
Mount Hermon appears 13 times in the Bible and only in the OT.
AND
The North Pole is 90deg North and 33 deg North would be 36.7% of the distance between the equator and the pole.
>good, or evil, or both
Concerning the children of the watchers, The Nephalim.
"Enoch" Chapter VII beginning at verse 12
12. Whose stature was each three hundred cubits. These devoured all which the labour of men produced; until it became impossible to feed them;
13. When they turned themselves against men, in order to devour them;
14. And began to injure birds, beasts, reptiles, and fishes, to eat their flesh one after another, and to drink their blood.
15. Then the earth reproved the unrighteous.
>They taught humanity
Their wives
10. "teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees."
And they were wiped out in the Flood
Time travel has always fascinated me, but for the life of me, I still haven't been able to understand t eh theory of relativity. Would someone be so kind as to explain/discuss to me why the hell time would pass slower if you're traveling at the speed of light?
I mean, the way my mind understands it is this: Say two athletes are running on a track. One of them wins, right? Because one of them traveled faster than the other one. But time didn't pass slower to the winner just for traveling faster. The winner just crossed the line before the loser. They only were at different positions in space at the same exact point in time.
So why the hell is it that, had the winner been traveling at the speed of light, suddenly the space-time continuum was broken? Really, please explain it to me as if I were a 5 year old.
Actually time is longer for the loser in reference to the amount of time from start to finish
Also time only exist when you are paying attention
>>17968659
Ok, time didn't pass slower, he just took more of it. While the winner spent that time celebrating. Or am I missing something?
Let's start one of these. I'm gonna dump some infographs.
>>17968514
What do you think happens when you die? Is it just a black void? Is it just like sleeping? Is there another world we go to that's similar to our current reality with different outcomes and events?
Meh
Maybe i dont know maybe we born again

Let's talk chaos magic and hopefully go beyond sigils.
Has anyone made up their own rituals and had any success? Can you give me an example?
I've been practicing the LBRP and it's just not really speaking to me. I don't believe in god, so the jewish god names don't really speak to me. I'm a little more open to the concept of angels, even if only just as a concept, but I still think I'd resonate with something else more, so I'm thinking of scrapping this ritual and using names from pop culture or mythology that resonate with me. Has anyone done anything like that? Does it make the whole thing too silly?
>>17964770
>chaos magick
>beyond sigils
Is that even possible? Without the dogma and guidelines of practises that other avenues present, what else is there? Chaos just says make a sigil and wish really hard essentially.
>>17964786
I think there's just as much structure to chaos as there is to other schools, but the point of chaos magic is to come up with the structure yourself instead of following a grimoire.
I am pretty new to this stuff though.
Why is California so eerie bros?
It's not particularly. Lived in OC for eleven years. Nothing. Going back in a couple days though, heyoo.
>>17963903
Eerie? In what way? Living in santa cruz all my life and nothing unusual. But there is holy city not far
>>17963925
Spookiest thing about California is the Valley. That is where the bad times are.....
In Norway back in the nineties we had this kid's television show called Sesam Stasjon (Sesame Station, as in railway station), it was about some muppets and a couple of humans working/living at this station, and like ten minutes of every show was dubbed shorts from Sesame Street. I'm 25 now and I still find muppets deeply unsettling. The dead eyes, huge mouths, unnatural colors, that fucking fur or felt, everything. If Maks Mekker (the big blue guy) were to jump out of my closet one dark evening I would just die of fear.
Speaking of Sesame Street. There was this one short that unsettled me deeply, and I'll never forget it. It was about this young girl thing (a princess or fairy or something) walking around in the woods and being sort of a dick, and it ends with her being turned into a monster because of her dickishness. She cried and shit with this horrifyingly shrill monster voice. She didn't even really deserve it, it was a real tragedy. If anyone recognises that narrative maybe there's a chance we can find the clip somewhere. I'd love to see it again.
ITT: Shit that scared you as a child that still scares you today.
Bathrooms. I dont know why its even a fear of mine but it stuck with me all these years
>>17963909
What do you fear about them? That something will happen to you while you're in one?
I can see that though. Lots of scary stuff in bathrooms. Shower curtains, small windows, mirrors, the space under the tub, the hard floor.
I registered on a Forum for supernatural shit when I was like 12.
I became super fucking interested in greys and UFOs and shit, also I discovered 4chan back then and started lurking.
So I read up on this shit and get paranoid as fuck (cause I am a stupid ass child) and can't sleep anymore because I'm so scared of aliens abducting me.
So one night I had Sleep Paralysis, which is a condition that is absolutely unexplainable and fucking horryfing for a child.
And now guess what I hallucinated while in paralysis.
A bunch of fucking greys abducting me.
Man, I was fucking scarred til I was like 15 and found out what Sleep Paralysis was.
Today i fucked up. Well actually a few weeks ago i fucked up. Me and all my infinate wisdome decided it would be smart to keep my carry pistol chambered with the safety on (this isn't a /k/ story) so in the event of needing its use i'd meerly need to click the safety off, pull back the hammer and fire. All the while stupidly thinking since the safety was engaged that it couldn't fire the chambered round. This morning as i went to grab my trusty side arm, I slipped, dropped my pistol and it landed directly on the hammer, which wasn't cocked. This fired the round in the chamber. The way it landed on the hammer and the angle in which it hit had the gun pointed straight the fuck at my face, i was looking straight down the barrel, i saw the flash. I closed my eyes and lunged back (even though this would have been way too late) and yet the round somehow fired into THE FUCKING FLOOR! I should be fucking dead, and im not. I dont really care if anyone believes me or not, but this is just unsettling for me. Thoughts?
I suppose what im getting at is i am so certain this should have killed me dead as fuck that i did die. And my consiousness merely moved on to another me in a different universe where the bullet went in another direction. I dont know, but i looked down a fucking gunbarrel as a bullet should have neen coming out and into my fucking face, but it went 180 degrees in the other direction. I swear i can feel where the bullet should have passed through my head. the right eye, straight through the back of my brains.
>>17960904
During stumbles the brain is shut off for a temporary time frame. You did in fact experience death. You have survived schroeder's cat. In this timeline you are alive. In another? Your atoms are scattered back to the environment waiting for a chance to be alive again.
