Yeah im the anon sharing that experience. There was someone who asked me couple of things but as i answered thread went 404. I think of it as courtesy at least to answer to the anon and maybe help kickstart the thread. His questions were:
1. How was afterlife or what exactly did i experience.
2. If i come from a specific religious background
3. How the experience has affected me religiously.
If i forget something, forgive me anon wherever you are. :)
Okay so.
1. There was no light, or tunnel, or angels or demons. Instead what i saw can only be described in phases. Phase 1, was immediately after dying. I was directly looking at my body. Phase 2, i started lifting up and sort of hovered over the entire area above the sea. I stayed there for a bit looking down at the surrounding area and the people. Phase 3, was when i started "expanding". I could see literally the entire world. But it wasnt human sight. It can be more accurately described by looking at colors taking shape. I could see every human. I remember i tried to focus on people i used to know, and i did, i saw them, but then i stopped focusing on them because i "knew" that if i "stared" they would sense me and that would be unfair to them because it would confuse them. During that time a thought crossed to me to travel all creation to witness it (keep in mind that this is my greatest wish), and i was ready to do so, but it was at that moment that something sparked in me reminding me that i had not finished something. It was then that i decided, reluctant at first but decisively later, to return.

Cont. During my time in this state, there was no negative feelings. Even the pity or sadness i felt for specific things, it was coated with a feeling i can only describe as "contentment". I knew everything, saw everything. There was noone else with me but i was definitely not alone. As if i had my own thoughts and at the same time i was part of something "more". There was also a voice talking to me sharing my thoughts. That voice was me and not exactly me at the same time. The voice in your head is almost like it but imagine it much much stronger and "present". I could "travel" to any place i wanted instantly, i only had to visualize it.
If you guys want details on any of this ill be happy to answer more.

2. No i do not come from a specific religious background. I was raised in a family that valued education and so on.
And the last question.
3. I have to admit that before the experience i didnt care about religion at all, in fact i found it rather dumb. However after, the feeling of interconnectedness, and the feeling of this spirituality has been etched to my "being". I close my eyes and i feel again this "expansion" this lifting, in the air we breathe, in the water we drink, in the words we say, in the hugs we exchange. I view organized religion as the outcome of thousands of years of human culture, and the culmination of human esoteric knowledge. I never found much meaning in interpretating literally religious works. They "could" be the way to attain knowledge but i am more of the belief of a phrase jesus said: break a piece of wood and youll find me there, lift a rock and im under there."

Probably not impressive but 54 hours and 56 hours, first was 1st Year final project, second was 3rd Year dissertation. 1st we went to eat after then I stopped being able to hear and fell asleep with my head on the table, 2nd I began to hear voices of my friends talking when they weren't talking or weren't in the Skype call.

Posting my comment again for discussion.

No offense, but I think we should keep these threads mostly art, with maybe just a little of the other stuff on the side. There are dozens of threads all the time devoted to stories, greentext, videos, and even music, but not many for original art.

I also don't like the idea of thread "themes" or "questions", it feels like they could restrict the content instead of the nice mishmash of work that we've got in threads like the last one.

Seems pretty easy to pronounce.

Atlantis was originally written about (as far as we can tell) by Plato in two dialogues - Timaeus (which led into a completely different tangent) and Critias (which was never finished). Basically, there was a great empire, got a bit corrupt, and battled Athens. Then it was engulfed into the sea in one day and night.

Archaeology could possibly give an explanation of this with the Minoan civilization, who were akin to Atlantis in all ways except measurements and location, and likely ended with the eruption of Thera.

The mythos of Atlantis, however, grew further away from this with the adoption by Theosophists and the New Age movement, and depictions as a far more advanced and utopian civilization. Works of pseudoscience and fiction further promoted this notion.
