I'm compiling various sources to get to who did what in Mega man designs. This list is far from complete and may contain errors. I would like for Mega Man experts to give their input. This is what I've discovered so far:

Akira Kitamura:

>Mega Man
>Roll
>Dr. Light
>Cutman

Inafune:
>Elec Man
>Bomb Man
>Dr. Wily
>All MM1 minor enemies (including favorites like Sniper Joe, Met, etc)
>Zero
>Punk
>Splash Woman
>Plug Man
>Auto
>Beat

Bon Bon:

>Guts Man

Unknown:

>Ice Man
>Fire Man
>Rush
>Eddie

Hayto Kaji:

>Bass & Trebble (co-creation with Inafune)
>X
>Shield attacker enemy
>Duo

To make the OP clearer, I've posted a screenshot of Bubble Trouble which is an online flash game.

I'm looking for classic arcade (japanese?) games with the same gameplay. More recent entries are welcome. I've tried "The Bug Butcher" but it sucked.

Yeah, same thing happens with the Saturn version. IIRC the developers of the Saturn/PSX version weren't the original devs.

what are you 13?

Yes, a game will lag if the code asks too much to the CPU.

A lot of NES games lag for instance. Trying playing Contra Force, or Mega Man 3.

People use say it's because the "console couldn't handle it" but that's not exactly true. In most cases it's due to poor and/or unoptimized programming. Devs back then either didn't care or didn't have the time to make everything lagfree.
>>
>>4191892
Back then, slowdown wasn't bad if it wasn't constant.
A bit of slowdown here and there was tolerable, even arcade games had them sometimes.
It's not really comparable with emulation lag, lag is constant, and not as noticeable.

Hey guys, can anyone help me with pilot wings 64? im trying to unlock the extras and am too retarded to get it right..
9 posts and 1 images submitted.

The hardest ones are the hanglider missions, you need to calculate each movements and watch the radar and the warm air currents that lift you up. On the harder hanglider missions, micro movements are important, you need to slightly tilt the stick to make minimal movements or else your trajectory will fuck up.
Have patience and learn from your mistakes, it's totally doable.
>>
>>4190589
thanks for the reply anon! im specifically looking for help with unlocking the birdman levels if you remember that
>>
>>4190603
I think the birdman level is the first one that gets unlocked, so it's the easiest one. You need gold medal in all 3 first missions (hanglider, gyrocopter, jetpack).

Go suck Adam Smith's dick and shove a copy of Atlas Shrugged up yer arsehole.

More on topic, I like the romanticized feeling of people smoking in old movies. Recently rewatched Alien, and sure enough, they were smoking on their stupid spaceship. Makes for a nice atmosphere though and fits well with the gritty feel of the movie.

But boy, am I glad smoking is banned in most places where I live. Shit stinks and it does give you and the people around you cancer. I like seeing it in movies and videogames though and I think it's kinda silly to banish tobacco out of all media. If you're not half-braindead you should realize that they do not represent reality. Same argument as with graphic violence. Watching Rambo or playing Quake did not incite in me the desire to go on a bloody rampage.

underrated masterpiece or absolute shit?

I played all the X games a while ago on emulators but relied on savestates and guides because I was under the impression it was really difficult, although I think that's just because I didn't realize that every single boss had a weapon they were weak to. I just beat pic related totally legit for the first time (well, except using save states on the level select so I didn't have to keep entering passwords).

It was really fun. Sigma's final form was a huge pain, but it was a pretty well-designed boss.

How are the other X games? Are there any I should avoid? Any I have to play?
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
X1 to X4 are all great.

X3 has some flaws but you should check out "Zero Project" romhack, it fixes some of those flaws, makes level progression less linear if you want to acquire everythig, and lets you fully play as Zero.

Avoid X5 at all costs.
>>
>Are there any I should avoid?
Mega Man X7 but it's not /vr/. Out of the /vr/ ones X3 and X6 can feel a bit underwhelming at first but aren't really that bad. Latter in particular grown on you over time.

>How are the other X games?
Pretty good.

>Any I have to play?
No one can force you to play anything but I'd recommend at least giving X2 and X4 a go.
>>
>>4189849
>Avoid X5 at all costs.
What's so bad about X5? Apart from Alia sometimes interrupting the gameplay with her useless unskippable messages and Zero being overpowered compared to X (like he is in all PS MMX games at least until you get all X's upgrades) I through it was pretty good?
