I've never played this series but it looks fun. What's the best title in the series?

Either 2 or 4 but they're all similarly good.

I haven't tried the Super ones on PS2 out yet.

best Bubble Bobble is Parasol Stars (TG16), best Puzzle Bobble is Bust-A-Move (SNES).

Nothing makes N64 look good, except when you play it on a CRT so you should go with RGB instead

I think it is good. I want it, but the kit is a small fortune and no one is available to do the mod for me. Pre-modded systems start around $400USD which at this time I'd use towards repairing upgrading other systems if I can ever save that much. However, the de-blur algorithm seems amazing from images/footage I have seen and I am envious of those who has an N64 with the mod.

So I'm reading in the wiki

http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Game_Boy/Game_Boy_Color_emulators#Multi-system_emulators

"higan is the only emulator that properly emulates all of the Super Game Boy's features, such as utilizing the SPC sound chip, due to having a separate SNES core"

But I don't find an option do load GB roms from SNES core, it loads only as plain GB. On bsnes-classic I can load them with System => Load Special => Load SGB Cartridge

>>
>>4176967
Keep using bsnes-classic. In later versions of higan byuu replaced Gambatte with his own (unfinished) GB core for SGB emulation.
>>
>>4177000
Trips cannot be lying

Can it be done though? I want to see how it is. Also something else, what is the difference between bsnes.exe and bsnes-accuracy.exe? The accuracy version when using Super Noah's Ark 3D (tried it just for fun because of AVGN's video) it crashes, normal one runs it

Been playing pic related and I am absolutely loving it! Just reached Chapter 4 last night.

Couple questions:
-When should I promote?
-How good is Shining Force 2?
-What is your fav team set-up?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>4176675

it doesn't really matter too much when you promote. promote early if you want the game to be a little harder, promote later to make the end game a breeze. SF2 is great too, although I prefer the first game, alot of people prefer 2. 2 has more RPG elements than 1.

Had a half hour to kill so I started prepping my characters. At the train town "Pau" I believe. Anyways, wtf is a Yogurt?? I was switching some characters in my line up and saw that hamster looking guy. I have no recollection of him ever joining up.

Nobody really gives a shit about anniversaries, and besides, DK is a dead franchise.

is there an actual modern emulator for this that doesn't require it to be run in ANOTHER emulator for modern operating systems?

What do you guys think about collecting games from Germany, France etc instead of english versions (from UK or USA)?

I don't collect for box covers.

What about non-english content on cd/cardridge?
>>
>>4175103
I'm Spanish. Most of my games are only in Spanish, or Multi 5 which means my boxes are in a couple of languages.

What's the best version of this game?

There isn't. The PSX version. has the original look, for one. The PS2 version has another that is less appealing.

That's all I remember but it's quite a difference. The perfect package would be the original with a fan-translation patch, but alas....
>>
>>4175051
The saturn/psx one is the best due to it's more oppressive atmosphere and better soundtrack(the ps2/wii version is also great, mind you).

So this is new HDMI MD clone and for once it seems to be pretty good. audio reproduction sounds great in the tests, only downside is mono output. Is it moddable to stereo? Thoughts?

How much is it?
You're probably better off importing one of these:
https://www.tectoy.com.br/pre-venda-mega-drive-edicao-limitada/p/995040461825
Developed with the consent of Sega, supports original carts and has SD card slot. Also comes with 22 pre loaded games.
About 150 USD though.
>>
>>4174736

its $50, has composite & hdmi and minimal lag for once. It also has much better compatibility than a standard clone. It has garbage wireless controllers but ports for standard MD controls. Main thing is it has a quality sound chip & doesnt sound like shit which is rare for clones.

I know very well the one you linked to, insanely expensive to export out of brazil. Sound chip is bad compared and only rca output. SD card doesnt matter since the chinese one works with flashcarts.
>>
>>4174665
Why not buy an actual Model 1 Genesis? Only like $20 for the console and ~$70 for an HD Retrovision component cable, plus 100% compatibility.

Would Sony have stayed out of the console market had Nintendo not tried to push them out?

There is little chance any SNES add-on would be successful, a failure like that could have kept them out.

Instead Nintendo canceled the Playstation before it had a chance to get to market, without explanation. Hence Sony decided to take the Playstation to market as its own system.

Without playstation, my teens would have sucked dick.

Man I used to go every weekend and buy used ps1 rpg's from Electronics Boutique for 10$.

A used N64 game cost like 40+ fucking dollars,
60-90$ brand new!

I decided to relive the great memories I have of paying this game on my old aunts PC, but its really a pain to have it working on modern OS.

Is it really worth the trouble emulating windows 95 or should I go for the snes or mega drive version?

the megadrive has more effects and the original aspect ratio, but snes has better audio and more colors.
the windows 95 may be the proper version to play, but what is the better compromise on the consoles?

This is my first post on this board, please be gentle, anons, I just want to get back, back to the past...

Ur an autistic cuck etc.

Now that's out of the way: W95/32X/Sega CD versions are the go-to's because of the extra levels and bonus stuff, but W95 is not necessarily the best, though it's got better sound sampling and color depth; it was made using the same conversion pipeline as the Earthworm Jim Special Edition port, which was slightly but definitely inferior to the original Sega CD version.

I'd just keep it simple and emulate the Sega CD version for the audio, or the 32X rom for the improved visuals. They don't look as nice as the SNES or Windows version, but at least not as awful as the GBA port
>>
>>4174690

isn't the sega cs the one version that has the foreground refresh at 30 fps, and the background at 60? if true, this is the last version I would consider...
>>
>>4174992
That's the 32X version. Sega CD is 60fps throughout.
