Yeah, same thing happens with the Saturn version. IIRC the developers of the Saturn/PSX version weren't the original devs.

Both the PS1 and Saturn ports were designed for PAL regions. The 60hz versions are fucked up.

I think Earthworm Jim 2 is unplayable period

On Saturn (and I assume PS too) the controls on puppy love stages are way too slippery, and makes it hell to keep the rhythm going, unlike SNES where the controls are fairly precise and you can make a perfect play if you know the patterns and when to turn or jump forward, on Saturn I could never get a no-damage play, the controls just won't respond as accurately.

has anyone figured out a way to patch "lorenzen's soil" back into EWJ2/DOS?
it'd be the best version of the game if not for that damn missing level.
