Anyone play this before? I saw a quick glance of it and noticed it played like LoZ, but I haven't seen it mentioned here

Its mentioned here enough. At the very least its reached a sort of cult status and I hear hard copies of it now fetch up to 100 bucks.

What are some good games like this?

Hardwarefag here, im interested in getting a pc engine or turbografx, but the amount of variations is a bit confusing.

I'm going to be using an everdrive and burning cds, i just prefer original hardware. Should I go for the pc engine duo? It doesnt look as cool as a pc engine+cd2 docked together but it seems cheaper than buying the other two separately. Since im not buying the super expensive games i wouldnt mind spending a little more for a design I like more, but is it worth it for function?

Avoid shuttle, every dock (US and Briefcase) have Composite out. The Duo series have a Super System CD card build in, so you can play most of the CD games there.
>>
You can meet that girl of your liking only on the DUO.

I also think the best look is that white PC-Engine with a white CD-ROM^2 in the briefcase setup. I would go for that if I had money, since for that setup you can get an Arcade Card Pro (not Arcade Card Duo) and play all the games except for the SuperGrafx ones.

The Duos just make it convenient all in one setup that plays everything but out of region Turbochips/HuCards, SuperGrafx games, and Arcade CDs (but it can play the Arcade CDs if I can afford an Arcade Card Duo plus Kisado adapter, which will run me about $270USD total). Be aware that most of the early Duos (black ones) have capacitor issues, which I am currently suffering with. The Duo-R and Duo-RX were later releases so they may have chosen better capacitors.

The true plays it all setup is a SuperGrafx + Kisado Adapter + Super CD-ROM^2 system + Arcade Card Duo setup but that is really, really costly but the SuperGrafx with a Super CD-ROM^2 system on its back is a kind of ugly setup. However tacky I found the SuperGrafx with its fake plastic rivets design, I do believe it is a beautiful system when you own one in person like the original Xbox.

What is your favorite Ys game?
What's is your favorite (or least hated) retro version of Ys 3?
How do you pronounce Ys?

It's pronounced "ys" like the "eace" in "peace" I guess.

So stupid. I had the SNES one (Wanderer's From Y's, I think?) when I was 13. Damn fool. I SOLD it, along with my Supes.
Little bastard. I didn't know what I had. Was just a hardass action rpg that I sucked at.

Where do you find all these rom collections, fellow retro gamer? Please post all the links. Thank you!
>>
>>4200509
Download the latest no-intro set for whatever console you want.

And patch your own roms, you lazy f***, LunarIps is not hard to use.
>>
>>4200509
Why don't you make your own collection with the recent translations pre patched and torrent it then.

It takes 2 mins to download thousands of games for free, people dumped them, uploaded them, made websites for it, others spend countless hours translating Jap games and making emulators, and you're still not satisfied.

Untiltled baby fuck.

Is there a fucking mod for Ultima VII (exult client) that removes hunger from the game?

I have no fucking idea how I got 50% through the game 10 years ago and dealt with feeding my characters literally every 2 minutes.

What the fuck is this shit. I'm only at PAWS right now and its driving me nuts already.

I played through the original older builds and I remember the more satisfying or heavy the meal the less people would mention they are hungry. Say shanks of steaks will last much longer than just giving them grapes. I think sleeping moves the timer forward faster, so your party members will seem like they are hungry again sooner. The DLC addon, Forge of Virtue, has a goblet which is always full and will feed your party members was a workaround solution in its day. I forgot where the goblet was but I think it was laying around somewhere in the home of the blind crazy mage that lived on the island, and he doesn't mind if you take things. Just be thankful it was not programmed into the game that they need to poop too (but I think there were places that NPCs did do it and you can sit in those outhouses and pretend they were doing number 2).

That goblet tip seems like what I need.
