How many of the NES ports of Sega games are worth playing?
Thinking about Afterburner and Shinobi
>>4170517
Its a mixed bag at best. Don't bother with Shinobi.
>>4170517
There's plenty. But I would advise looking up reviews of these games via youtube.
Just beat this beautiful bastard for the first time. What a trip that was
Now get a buddy and play Lucky and Wild

What's your favorite arcade game and why is it Mappy?
Because, in Mappy, you'll get to level 10 after getting pretty good. In Flicky, you can get to level 30 after playing the game only a few times. This makes you not want to play again because you will have to play through a lot of easy levels to get to level 30 again and to go beyond it. In Mappy, however, you are encouraged to replay the game because you only have to play a couple of really challenging levels instead of a bunch of easy, monotonous ones.
Can anyone recommend me a good AV to HDMI converter so I can play my snes on my flatscreen? I got one from DKoldies, didn't work, exchanged for another, still doesn't work. Rather would get a converter rather than buy a Retros 5 or whatever.
>>4168681
My HDMI to RCA converter works well, brand on it is "TEORDER", going on a year now.
>AV
At least convert from s-video ffs
Get a crt or emulate otherwise you're gonna spend a bunch of money on a blurry image if you don't get some cheap laggy converter like the one in your pic.
Anyone know where can I get a good quality 72-pin connector that isn't a Blinking Light Win? Ideally I'm looking for something that feels like the original and requires you to push the cartridge down. I don't want a BLW because it's kind of pricey and has that tacky meme text, plus I've already disabled the lockout chip anyway.
>>4168397
You can't.
Get a blinking light win, or an OEM connector.
>>4168397
>that tacky meme text
You don't have to use the sticker if you don't want to.
Just get a brand new generic. Not being able to push down your cartridge shouldn't matter.
Guys, what is this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18F2oPkWBF8) game? I am not familiar with Famicom stuffs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakayama_Miho_no_Tokimeki_High_School
It was a dating simulator released by nintendo for the famicom disk system in 1987. It was also made by the guy who created the final fantasy series, and players who got the best ending would get shipped to them a special vhs tape with a thank you message from the girl how you are trying to date. She was also a japense singer and actress
>>4168729
Is it possible to obtain a copy of this tape in 2 0 1 7?
Honestly it's actually sort of fun once you get the timing down of the kicks and can just take everyone out as they walk up to you. The first level is really easy, the second one is just right. The third one is a little bullshittish with the debris flying at you but not too bad, but yeah stage 4 is pretty bad, that's the only one. Once you realize you can only spawn two enemies on screen at once it's super easy if you can get them both behind you, then you just walk to the end of the stage no problem.
Not the hardest fighting game I've played but the controls could be better. I waste all my crane kicks immediately since by default it's just B. Forward + B does a normal kick instead. That should have been reversed.
I loved this game as a kid. You had to stock up on Drum Punches and Crane kicks for the spear guys in level 4. It was a fun game.

Haven't played it in forever but I remember it being ok for a notoriously shit game. There's some payoff once you get used to the quirks, the same can't be said for all "bad" games.
So, just kind of got Alucard's Shield with the Shield Rod. Is this combination just the straight up "I win" button of the game? I mean, the game stopped being hard a long time ago, but this just makes encounters straight up pointless.
>>4167819
Yup. You can kill the end boss in about 10 seconds just standing there and getting healed the whole time. I recommend not using it
Why is the map so big? What's even the point of Totambu and the other swamp areas?
There's not really a point to any area except Daggerfall, Wayrest, Sentinel, Ykalon, Isle of Balfiera, Orsinium area, Wrathgorian Mountains, Menevia and Dragontail Mountains, as that is where the main quest will take you. Nothing except RP reasons of course.
Possibly the devs had plans to make each area more unique but as so many other things, it was cut.

Easy to make, easy to sell

I'm still waiting on that sourceport.
>smacks the tail as hard as possible
what a clunky fun mess that was. i miss arcades
I can still hear it
>"AWW MAAAN"
Why didn't they put a cartridge slot in the top of this game and call it something like The FX32, so other games could use it's Super FX chip. Then Donkey Kong Country would have just been the amazing free inbuilt game with the graphics upgrade.
>what other chips should have been included in the imaginary FX32?
Is this another pretending to be dumb thread?
>>4167508
Sega was going to do it
Codemasters filed the patent first
1. Super fx chip
2. Sega develops SVP chip in response the plan being to make it a cart add on a la 32x/game genie
3. Codemasters files patent for add on chip cart
4 SVP gets one $100 release
>>4167508
>he thinks DKC used the SuperFX
Should I get Wetrix on N64 or Dreamcast?
>>4167214
Dreamcast ver is enhanced, so that probably answers your question
>>4167214
Get the N64 version. The Dreamcast version has some changes I'm not a fan of, including far worse music. The visuals are a little crisper, but it also lacks a lot of vibrant 2D sprites that the N64 version has and replaces them with distasteful 3D models. The N64 version is the way to go, trust me.
sup /vr/. Space Empires thread.
I'm searching for costum races files. race portraits alone would be nice, but ships and beheviour text files are more than welcome.
