Why this little cable trigger the americans?
Why does this game breaking difference trigger the Eurostralians?
>>3739172
option 1:
we don't use RGB on 99% of consumer televisions (and when we do it's usually RGBHV anyway), and using scart for example on a super nintendo requires a color space conversion which is a solution based on a compromise
option 2:
gatekeeping american RGB monitor owners who only dislike scart because you "don't need it" over bnc equipment, stating something about an impedance mismatch in scart cables that may or may not be an imperceptibly marginal difference
>>3739172
It doesn't. I never even knew what a SCART cable was until a few years ago.
So............................................
...when did it become popular to hate Ocarina of Time?
Let's be honest, it's far from being "the greatest game of all time".
>>3738963
It's the best Zelda which actually says a lot.
>>3738963
But there are lot's of people that consider it to be a bad game. Do they just hate the fact that it's praised too much?
Which 8/16 bit console game had the most fappable scene?
>>3738928
100% it's some Jap shit
>>3738934
Because unlike you, most people aren't autistic enough to give a damn which sites their Google image brings up if said site has what they are looking for.
Post terrible art from boxes and manuals or any other art that doesn't represent a game well.
>artwork made for the initial American release of the game
>artwork made for the initial Japanese release of the game
>>3740021
thats not that bad compared to this
Anyone remember Mondo 3d?
>>3738895
nope
Sure don't.
This fucking game. They just don't make them like they used to. It's the perfect mix of Nostalgia with Dragonball-esque art and Final Fantasy mixed in; when will there be another masterpiece such as this game?

This games fucking deserves a remake, a sequel or something. The only things that comes close are a hacked ROM version/successor as Chrono Cross

It was a great game.
Square moving to PlayStation was the beginning of the end for Nintendo. All the N64 needed was a couple blockbuster RPGs to make it one of the best systems of all time, instead it has garbage and it's been memes ever since, Wii, Wii U, Switch
>>3738771
It's seriously not that great. Overrated.
>>3738776
The game cube was pretty sweet.
I want to compile a list of games that would be great for netplay.
I've noticed that alot of the pirate games for the nes arent reguarily played.
Which sucks cause theres lots of fighting games both original and ports.
Kart Fighter tournament anyone?
For a game to be considered good for netplay
i will be listing games with 2 player simultaneous play or playing actively against each other in a turn based setting.
ie. Super Mario Bros doesnt count as viable since you are just taking turns.
Please help by adding games that you find to be fun or think could work well online.
We can also use this thread to schedule matches or test stuff.

Retro peer 2 peer gameplay died out with z-battle.
That era is over. Nobody cares anymore.
You'll have to create some kind of killer app that integrates it if you want a scene.
>>3738867
The Kaillera servers still get some use.
I guess ill also work on dat app in teh meantime.
Want to get into REmake, should i play this instead of the original?
I am playing the Wii version.
>>3738726
You should play the original Playstation version
>>3738726
Both
>>3738825
This. Play the PS1 version then REmake (Gamecube or Wii is fine).
I have never played OOT.
Should i play the N64 or 3DS version?
You?
3D.
They're the exact game actually with the 3D making the menu faster thanks to the touch screen.
Do you have the game and an n64?
3DS version is blasphemy compared to N64!
My SNES collection. Sold everything and this is all that's left. Feels good. Post your SNES collection.

OH SHIT Nigga I see a lot of quality titles. Good taste.
Aladdin is next to Jurassic Park and the SFC games are Rockman X series, Bass, Soccer, and DKC1.
>>3738153
Thanks, tried to keep out the crap. I may still swap a couple of titles, though. Any glaring omissions?
Starting this. What am I in for?
Is this too long, hard or cryptic?
You're in for one of the best game intros, for starters.
>>3738091
One of the best games I've ever played in my life. Good memories.
A great, underrated series as a whole. I hope you fall in love with it and want to play the other games.
>he uses walkthrus
>he doesnt use walkthrus
I usually only resort to walk throughs to save me time. I don't have all the time I used to for games, so I don't want to spend an afternoon trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do.
>>3737247
I like those kinds of games but I suck at solving them. Despite that, I don't understand the point of cheating your way through the actual game part, most games that force you to figure out what to do are not very challenging at all when you remove the mystery.

What are some of the best versions of /vr/ games that you know of?
It can be a romhack that revises the game, adding in cut content, doing a better translation, adding small functionality tweaks, improves graphics, or some kind of massive overhaul.
Official and unofficial remakes or ports also count. Just nothing that alters the game to the point of being a different game, like level layouts, story alterations, ect.
They can be huge improvements like pic related, or they can be something as minor as making the mini map in Zelda 1 not useless.
Optional side topic: What kind of improvements would you like to see added to a /vr/ game that wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for a skilled romhacker.
>>3736757
Hyper SF2 and Hyper SF Alpha, although Alpha could've benefited from at least an arcade mode or something.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 is just barely /vr/ right? THUG Pro takes those maps, plus ones from all the other games in the series, and puts them into one game. It also lets you do cool shit like modify quirks in the physics and controls.
>>3736798
Hyper SF2 was dogshit
Just ends up being SF2: Champion Edition with all the boss picks
Zero balance
Conker's Bad Fur Day with all humor removed
ITT: Games that pushed the limits of it's hardware
Tempo for the 32x had some fucking amazing sprites
>>3736795
That looks pretty good.
I've always wondered how much Bio-Hazard battle pushed the limit.
