Can we post vr related "bold black lines" drawings of games?
I mean, official drawings that tend to be designs of characters or objects with specially "bold lines" and "solid colors".
Posting some examples

you got some weird fetish op?
>>3744176
Pretty much yeah
What are the darkest games of yesteryear? The ones brimming with oppressive atmospheres and use dark, muted palettes to suck you in a nightmare. Games that make Castlevania look like a cartoon; games like Splatterhouse, King's Field, GnG, and pic related.

Forbidden Forest is dark as fuck.

Diablo

What's that game on SNES where you have to rescue your daughter's soul from hell? That shit was FUCKED.
These are the games that are currently on my NES flash cart. What am I missing and what should I delete??
Add games you want to try, delete games you don't like.
Are you serious? You should be able to fit the whole NES library in there, it's like 300mb.
>>3743870
This, but also, you're missing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Blaster Master, Dr. Mario and some other classics, OP.
I played Castle of Illusion at my cousin's house when I was young. At some point when I was older I played the ROM and thought it was really hard, I think I got to the second boss. Is it really hard or is it just me? Also, how are the other Illusion games and the remake?
That's the one where the game ends early if you set it to easy mode no?
Anyway I think the later games feel easier because of polish and more effective means of attack.
>>3743686
It's just you, the game is easy as fuck.
The only part that was difficult to me as a kid was the 4th level (I think?) with the water rapids and what not. I remember not being able to jump in time and as soon as the water touched you, you were dead.
Played it again a few years ago and it seemed easy though. It's an enjoyable game to beat in less than an hour.
I like this game.
Do you like this game?
I first played it on MAME in the early 2000s.
>>3743386
I like that game
Monster Lair is better. Plus, the music kicks ass, especially on the PCE CD version.

I think the music of the Mega Drive version was the best. I believe it's much better than the arcade version. That drums :)
It's my favorite Wonder Boy too.
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING????
What a shitload of AYYUSSSSSS.
Also, Mike Matei should play Skull in the new Power Rangers movie. It would be perfect casting.

They were thinking
>whitu piggu a-prefer using a-stick with the trigger rike a gun, john wayne pow pow pow
Like 5 games use the D-pad.

Gamepro Interview: March 1996 after Ultra 64 reveal with Shigeru Miyamoto.
> "With the Ultra 64 controller we were thinking of ways to appeal to new and old fans alike. The [D-pad] is familiar to older Nintendo fans and is useful for 2d games such as the recently announced Yoshi's Island 64. With the analog stick it allows a larger degree of control for 3d games like Mario 64 and Wave Racer 64. The controller was designed around the idea that 2d and 3d fans can use it with no problem."
>"Can you tell us what the cartridge slot in the back of the controller will be used for? Is it any adapter for New Gameboy games?"
>"The slot in the back of the controller. I'm not sure how much I can say [laughs]. I will tell you that gamers will not be disappointed in the uses of the cartridge slot."
This is one of the hardest games I have ever tried. Would you agree it's one of the hardest NES games?
It's not hard it's just stupidly designed. The button same as the jump button? Almost no invincibility after getting hit?
No.
Here's your (you).

No because it's Artificial Difficultyâ„¢
Let's have a thread about the most iconic console in Japan
Last week I burned my first EPROM of a translated version of final fantasy 3.
Fletcher obligated to play it on my Famicom that never gets any love.
The game is great.
The Famicom controller cords TOO short.
Yay famicom!
Fletcher?? Ugh. Autocorrect and fat fingers.
>>3743486
Congrats on destroying a copy of FF3.
Arcade vs N64 comparison picture
>>3743161
the n64 version is actually playable, unlike the ps1 version.
Mace the Dark Age
>>3743169
The N64 version is actually superior to the arcade, in that it can actually be overclocked to always run at a constant 30fps, whereas the arcade version of San Francisco Rush had notable slowdown problems especially on the advanced course where it would dip down to 20 or even 15fps. It's also generally the purest version of the game, actually utilizing the same physics and code from the Arcade version whereas every other port was a reprogramming from the ground up, yes even the rare PC voodoo card port.
Is there a rom of this game that fixes the defeated enemy targeting? I know later games corrected it, but Id love to play it in NES style if possible.
Final Fantasy Restored fixes all the bugs but it doesn't do that. Auto-targeting not being there isn't a bug.
It's largely known as a strategic thing.
Just play the PSX version.
>>3743193
Or the GBA version.
Both are the same as far as I understand.
What are some older games that let you choose your own route? or choose your own story path
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons has a fame system that implements most of the story events and objectives organically as the corresponding fame stat for your character rises. If you're a pirate you destroy fleets, if you're an adventurer you explore, and if you're a trader you invest in ports. It gives a lot of freedom, even to the point where you can defect to an enemy country, which will often make the game unbeatable.

In Dragon Spirit on the NES, you can play as either the gold dragon (easy mode) or blue dragon (normal mode). The gold dragon has 6 HP instead of 3 HP, and rapid fire is always active. But the gold dragon skips certain stages, and you get a lame ending.
If you die in the intro stage, you land on the gold dragon route. If not, blue dragon route.

StarFox 64

Is pic related the best way to play original GB and GB color games?
Yes, up until today I've always used my gba sp from 2003, but went to a thrift store and found a ags-101 model with the brighter screen and holllly shit its so amazing. Pic related, my 2 gba's.
>>3742778
Yeah, you can play any Game Boy cartridge.
The best feature is the brightess and battery life.
>>3742783
I still prefer the older model for GB/GBC, I don't know, the colors look too saturated on the 101.
I only use my AGS-101 for gba
