Preferably OC
Number 2!
That's enough to make it an actual thread, right? It's OP +2? I'm a newfag so I'm not entirely sure.
Anyone else really enjoy this game?
>>3830380
I couldnt figure it out. Only had it as a single digit age child.
It's an alright game. I like the Game Boy version better. It plays smoother.
>>3830718
Really? Have to try it out
What are some hidden (or not so hidden) messages from the devs to the player?
>>3830283
The one in Earthbound really is something special.
It's sad to me how many games don't have "And you" after their credits. It's such a sad but good feeling to see it
>>3830297
>It's sad to me how many games don't have "And you" after their credits
Well, here's one!
>>3830316
Meant to say new games, my mistake. Much more common in retro games.
Super, Mario Brothers...3!
It always bugged me how this game didn't save.
>>3830129
get good?
Does this game have as many "man-to-man" type enemies as OoT?
Enemies that require you to dodge, block and wait for an opening window to counter-attack, like Stalfos, Lizalfos and Wolfos. They were my favorite enemies to fight in OoT, but I wish there were more of them.
Of course.
>>3829786
I'd say even more...
You are looking for Dark Souls 64 man. It's curious. Everybody now hates OOT but the jizz-making game for the latest times is almost completely based on it. huh.
Anyway enjoy that game It's my favourite.
>>3829810
Neat. And yeah, I've always thought of Dark Souls as a "grown up" Zelda clone.
Twilight Princess had a LOT of good "souls-like" enemies.
/vr/ webm thread?

9/11 weapon and stats not wobbly
I played this shit when I was a kid and the aesthetic immediately became part of my psyche. I'd prefer a good top-down turn-based fighting system where you have to actually use your turns to move your character, but action-rpgs are also good.
The game is Astonishia Story, a psp port of an old korean dos game.
It does look fairly nice op
Arc the Lad 2 might be right up your alley.
What is a "comfy" aesthetic?
HITLER IS OUT OF THE VEY
>>3829337
Couldn't Einstein simply had got him into art school or something? That probably would've adverted the entire thing, assuming that by killing Hitler the rest of Germany never rises. Or hell, just divert his attention away from the Jews and towards Communism.
Also, the base game of Red Alert was ok, but damn did Counterstrike/Operation Aftermath/Retaliation make it shine. It seemed like every singleplayer campaign Westwood made got more intricate and interesting as time went on.

>Couldn't Einstein simply had got him into art school or something?
If Hitler is insignificant, that's the same as Hitler being killed. Either way Germany gets pwned by commies.
>>3829351
>Or hell, just divert his attention away from the Jews and towards Communism.
The communists are Jews; the Jews are communists.
Be honest
First runDid you wait?... I totally didn't. I was fucking pissed.
I didn't. I didn't even know about that until an older cousin of mine told me about it.
I also somehow missed getting the Atmaweapon.
I ended up restarting my file because he made it seem like the biggest deal ever (and it really isn't, I'm not a completionist). Seeing several hours go down the drain like that is very painful.
I didn't. Doesn't the game only give you options like "Jump" and "Wait", but no reasons why you'd want to stay? I didn't expect that you could actually change something by waiting.
Nah, didn't restart though
Friendly reminder that this game was translated recently and it is as good as Dragon Quest

A RPG by Data East? It looks interesting
>>3829192
>and it is as good as Dragon Quest
does it have a gimmick that makes it different from DQ?
> Only $3.50 at a local thrift store my dudes
Is this just a meme? If all there thrift store/bazaar posts are to be belived then the average /vr/ poster has paid about a months pocket change on his multi-thousand dollar game collection. I'm convinced half these are just people taking a few games out of thier collection, taking a photo, then posting with 'just found at a yard sale for $1.45!'
> inb4 thread is flooded by people posting their entire collections with the caption 'no I really did buy all this for 25 cents and half a can of coke'
i got it for $19.99 plus tax

I like how we have this exact same thread with this exact same image every few weeks. I'll bite, though.
I remember finding video games at flea markets almost 20 years ago. SNES games still sealed, possibly stolen from the back of a K-Mart truck. I got Zelda, Star Fox and F-Zero for like 10 bucks each. To date, those are probably the best finds I've had, and it was so long ago, it doesn't really count. I may have gotten better deals at Gamestop/EB when they started clearing their old shit, but the games were just that; shit.
10 years ago or so, there were pretty good deals on stuff at flea markets, but mostly it was just bins of crap. You didn't usually have a single dealer dedicated to video games, so some guy with electronics would just have plastic totes with copies of madden he was trying to get rid of. I recall stuff still being subject to "Nintendo Tax" because the franchises were still madly popular. Metroid, Kirby and the like would still be priced in the range of $30 and up.
"Farmer's Markets" and "thrift stores" have never panned out for me. In recent years, I've never seen a single vidya-related item in any thrift store, except for a dreamcast controller, and that was 7 years ago. I feel like someone pays off the delivery truck drivers to nab that shit before it even hits shelves. Any kind of public market is well aware of what old video games are generally worth now. I see some of the most ridiculous prices there, because every jobless rat thinks all of their retro plastic is worth a fortune.
It's possible you could nab some video games super cheap nowadays, but I'd say it's more likely going to be a deal from a private party who doesn't know any better, and good luck getting to them before someone else does. Craigslist has become useless lately, at least in my area. All I get are ads for resellers, and people begging to buy your shit. Oh, and also scalpers still trying to unload their stock of NES-Classics for 120 a pop.
>>3829187
The only good deals I ever got was when BlockBuster and other rental stores started dying out.
Got Earthbound for 8$
ITT: games that hit you with the biggest TECHNOLOGY moments to minutes of play ratio.
This game blew my mind form beginning to end back when it came out. I simply could not believe I was playing it, it felt literally like playing an animated film.
i like it when squirrel done a swear lol

THAT ONE GAME
Do you faintly remember a game you played years ago but can't recall it's name?
This is the thread for you.
I remember a game my dad had along with Lemmings and Mahjongg. It was an action game where you played a guy with a pistol shooting other guys with pistols. It was 2D and only ever a non-moving screen at a time and you'd move from screen to screen, mostly by entering and exiting buildings. Not much to go by, I know.
>>3828983
game in the pic?
A NES game I am fairly sure. A sidescroller. The first level was on some moon base or something and you played an alien who had a little alien buddy and you shot a classic sci-fi looking blaster. I have never been able to find this game again in these threads.
.
This part and the head on a platter still freak me out to this day. Also the whole of Waxworks.
