OK, so i went to a thrift shop and saw a bunch of N64 games, and God they were so expensive. Why are N64 games to expensive to buy? Genesis and PSX are dirt cheap by comparison.
Nintendo tax

everything Nintendo is more expensive thanks to ecelebs and hipster looking for easy retro credz
last chance to get physical copies because everything is about to be on a digital library
Does anyone like the Spider-man arcade game?
yes! it's always a pleasure to see all those hunchback characters
I didn't even know there was a Spidey arcade game. The only two Marvel ones I ever seemed to see was either Captain America & The Avengers or X-Men
>>3831250
Punisher and Konami's X-Men were the only ones I actually played IRL. I might had seen a Spider-Man cabinet once from afar, but never actually played it. It's funny how every major belt-scroller* developer had a Marvel license at some point.

I found this very old breakout clone demo on my hard drive that I used to play when I was a kid, however I cannot seem to find the full original version with 100 levels, in fact most ms dos games compilations and archive.org only have the version with 60 levels. Does anybody own or know where to find the complete version with 100 levels?

can we have a breakout thread
>>3831048
This was sick, especially the stages that'd dole out multiballs like candy so you were batting around like 20 and feeling like a breakout god.
DX-Ball came second for being solid and having fun powerups/gimmicks.
Is snes through a s-video on a 36" Sony wega trinitron gonna look as good as a pvm monitor through a s-video.
No, but it will look good enough.
>>3830905
is your dog giving you a bj. fucking leaf.
No, but you're probably not going to sit there and have both running at the same time to compare anyway. So it doesn't matter...
My main gaming laptop broke and I'm going to be stuck with a small shitty one for a couple of days probably. What are some good games I could play with these specs? I'm a fan of sim/RPG type games like Elona or King of Dragon Pass, but I'd be fine with a more story-oriented RPG as well if I can customize my character.
On another note, what would you guys recommend as the most reliable and powerful high-end gaming laptop currently on the market? And yes, I am completely aware that gaming laptops are overpriced and underperform compared to desktops, but I spend a lot of time on the move, so a desktop isn't really viable.
While I can't recommend any specific titles, I haven't had significant issues running ps1/saturn or earlier games on my 2008 craptop. Most demanding i can recall was Panzer dragoon saga having slowdown in 2 boss fights during the game. I figure most of your specs beat mine, so if you pick from that era or earlier, you should be fine.
>>3830772
Best look on youtube about laptops. Linus tech tips etc.
As for games that run on anything.
Rollercoaster tycoon
The Sims
Hydro thunder
Road Rash 95
Max Payne
Emulators
Diablo 1/2
Cant think of anymore off the top of my head.
Pretty much anything discussed on this board can be played on your laptop through emulation.
/g/ or /v/ would be the better place to ask about modern gaming laptops.
I started to remember it slowly and honestly the whole situation freaks me out. I know now that the game was Illusion of Gaia and that I actually owned the game. I was wondering if anyone else had a game that you forgot, and remembering it caused a feeling of dread.
>>3830762
What freaked you out?
>>3830762
You were molested around the time you had or played this game,OP. Feels bad man.
It could be anything, tho desu, parents divorcing, being bullied at school, any feeling of worry or concern that you used the game to "escape" from.
The game helped you ignore reality, while your brain blocked all that shit up, compartmentalized it and hid the memories from you. Now as an adult, you get a bad feeling when you think about it. It's weird how kids heads work.
>>3830762
Sounds like you're fucking retarded OP, I've never forgotten anything
Released in 1996, in a time when developers didn't knew the console limits or how good graphics should look and work, Tobal had anime-like designs by Akira Toriyama rendered with very few textures and blocky models that mixed flat shading with gourad shading. Some characters parts are smooth, most are blocky. The game also uses vertex colors. While Spyro uses vertex colors only on skyboxes with really good results, Tobal uses vertex colors on the stages, and this gives the game an weird ethereal quality that clashes with the blocky models.
Maybe some would call it "vaporwave".
Post weird and "off" looking games. And I'm not talking shit looking games like Playstation SimCity 2000
The sequel went for a more normal look with simple textures with smooth shading and really boring flat 2D stages.
I can't think of any off the top of my head but I really love Tobal
Is that Jesus?
>>3830634
huh?
In my opinion that was a placeholder, it doesn't fit at all with the rest of the iconography in the game
>>3830634
That vitral doesnt make much sense in the world of LoK so it's probably there just to look pretty

Just quoting my other post before passing out. Here's some berserk life leech. You leech 1-5HP per punch up to 80HP currently. It's not a whole lot, but enough that you can use it to make a recovery if you're careful. I might increase the health gain a bit based on my testing.
>finding Club Doom in the PSX TC for the first time
Hypothetically, how would i play a japanese ps1 import on my american ps1? The playstation love is getting that big that I'm toying around with the idea of getting some imports if only i could play them.
Obviously PAL is out of the question...
Id consider emulation.
Is it really that hard to use google?
there's a trick to it involving tricking the hardware into thinking the disc lid is closed and hotswapping discs but that's all i remember
>>3830523
Nitwit. It's a matter of androgynizing the chip that detects NTSC and PAL discs. Learn to solder. It's not difficult. The fact that consoles do this is purely a licensing issue between continents. The hardware can still detect the disc. It can still be played. A PS1 disc is a PS1 disc. NTSC and PAL are invisible borders that bare no relation with how any of it works. It's business. Learn to androgynize the chip reader. I never had any issues with my imports after I did it.
I love how open-ended this game is, what's your route through this game /vr/? Has anyone tried to do a no air gargoyle run?
Also what is the best talisman for the optional super-boss?
>>3830515
This game has branching paths is not open-ended (but I wish it was). I tried playing this with ground gargoyle(?) run, but it would be very challenging since he's so slow in all forms.
>>3830515
I played it once but was kind of hoping it was GnG

I completely forgot about actually finishing Jet Force Gemini because those dumbass Tribals are hella gay to find. This is like the first time I'm playing it in like seven years too, I am surprised that I'm doing pretty good blind so far going by muscle memory alone.
