“Mama…” a small voice whispers in the dark. “Mama… Please wake up…”
But there’s no answer to be heard, only a heavy silence followed by the gentle sound of sobbing.
“C’mon Mama…” comes the voice again. “It’s almost time for breakfassst… M-Mama!”
An orb of light drifts into the room at your behest, its flickering glow sending shadows scurrying back to their corners. A tattered book case, a weathered footlocker, all is revealed in that unearthly glow. Next comes a rough straw mattress, one now stained with blood, a fair maiden lying atop it, pale as milk, and finally the small child who lies kneeled next to her tearfully nudging her shoulder.
“M-Mama…” she whispers, seemingly ignorant of the light or your footsteps as you enter. “M-Mama you promisssed… You promisssed it would be alright! Please Mama, pleassse don’t leave me alone!”
You are Lee: bard, lover, fighter, and more recently numbered among the walking dead. Awoken within the depths of this dungeon not twenty four hours ago, you’re new pseudo-start on life has been anything but uneventful. You fearlessly danced down a squad of clerics, saved the life of a mother and child, learned new spells and even remembered a little bit about what had lead to your demise in the first place. This, however, this might be your greatest challenge yet, as you gaze at a small child, a frail, trembling thing trying to rouse her despondent mother. What had happened? What had gone wrong? More importantly:

There is a man in a big, funny hat standing in the doorway. Behind him you can see several other men in armor.
Hold on... you've seen that guy. It's the Inquisitor, the one that threw the rock at your head.
Derrick is the first to approach the inquisitor. "On what charges?" He asks.
"The Inquisition will decide your crimes" The inquisitor says.
"I am a citizen of Lubars, and if this is a lawful arrest then I have a right to know why I am being arrested" Derrick says.
The Inquisitor narrows his eyes, and waves his men forward.
Derrick snorts. "Then it falls to us..." He says.
"What does?" The Inquisitor asks
"If you all won't uphold the law, then you're little better than criminals who snatch people from their homes to be killed" Derrick says. He then draws his sword and points it down at the inquisitor. "And it falls to those of us with conscience to put an end to it"
...
You understood maybe... half of that. But you can see that Derrick wants to fight. You have to admit, you would be more than happy to throw a few rocks at the inquisitor's head to see how he likes it... maybe punch him a few times and hit him with the mageblade for good measure.
But you aren't the only one here, and this house isn't safe anymore... There are a few windows that you could all get out of, and be long gone by the time the guards climb up here, but then what?
...
There's no other choice, you-

The hyperspace trip back to Admiral Reike’s fleet only took a day. Felt like a month.
And when you do arrive, you see the find mysterious ocean planet, now a sickly green and covered in dark clouds. All of you stare in horrified awe at it. “What happened to that planet?” asks Vikker, not sure if he really wants to know the answer.
Kuvasz crosses his arms. “Well, that’s what happens when you exterminate all life on it.” He looks over at Misri, who still seems a little sickly. “Are you alright, Misri? You don’t look so good.”
She waves him off, shaking her head. “I’m alright. Question is, uh… why are we coming back to them?”
“I’m going to get us out of this mess,” you declare. You direct the ship towards the Undertaker, the big Mandator with the new gun dedicated to firing the Force Harvester. A huge pit forms in the pit of your stomach. Just tell him the truth for once, and get out. No need for any fierfek or anything like that. You just need to be upfront. No more cowardice.
“We can’t just leave the Force Harvester with him though,” says Misri. “Wh-… what will happen then?”
“It’s for Rhys to decide,” says Kuvasz.
Right, right. It’s for you to decide.
Just need to act like you know what you want to decide though.

The Lion’s Share docks in one of the many shuttle hangars. “R5. You’re coming with me,” you say. He rolls down the ramp with you. “Rest of you, stay here.”
Whisper blinks. “But what about-“
“Let me handle this,” you say. “What, you think I’m going to mess everything up somehow?” They all stare at you as if you’re going to mess everything up somehow. “Get back in the ship.” They all nod, stepping back. Misri gives you one last look, before nodding and stepping back in.
“Why do you need me?” asks R5.
“Because it’d be nice to have my faithful droid companion bail me out in case things go south,” you explain.
“You want to use me as a shield, don’t you.”
“Well…” you shrug. “Hey, droids make excellent shields, R5.” He whirls his dome around incredulously. “Aw now don’t give me that.”
“Sir, what are we even doing here?” he asks.

I wonder if they're going to make a full blown 3magnus or if they'll just make eMagnus into a Cygnar ally. I always felt like the alternate Magnus from the Lions Coup rules was actually pretty cool since he was an infantry caster and I'm wondering if they'll try to do that again with his new incarnation for Cygnar

===============
You are Prince Meirion auk Gwyrren, the only sane man in a royal family with dubious concepts of strategy, justice, taxation, and governance in general. You have made it your goal in life to keep your family on the throne and your head firmly attached to your body.
In order to placate a group of merchants who were planning to raise a ruckus with the king, you offered to help them get some land on the sly. You've completed part one of your master plan, raiding one of your uncle's territories in order to encourage him to get rid of it, and you're about to move to part two, which is actually getting the land into your possession. After that, you'll have to find a way to steal a seal of nobility and get it back to its proper owners without anyone objecting, which will probably involve several more crimes.
You remind yourself that the alternative is to give ownership rights to people who aren't fully in your corner or to actually pay your uncle by giving him real money, and that would be a gross violation of your bottom line.
>>46887143
"How do you want to do this?" Olwen asks.
You organized a last-minute strategy with Myrddin and Olwen before you try to swindle your uncle out of his lands, just to iron out the last few wrinkles.
"If you want, I can leak false information to your uncle that you're having some difficulties financing your personal guards," Myrddin says. "It might make him think that selling you the forest would put your further into debt, since you'd have to spend more money to manage it and get the 'bandits' out."
"That's one option," you say. "What else?"
"We could also just let him know that you're trying to acquire some lands for leisure," Myrddin says. "It'll be less complicated, but you might have to work harder to make him willing to sell."
>[Intrigue/1d8] "Let him think I'm having financial difficulties."
>[Intrigue/1d12] "Let him think I'm looking to buy some land."

Welcome to Academy City. The time is now afternoon, the weather is mild, and the date is February 14.
You are Kyril Torikov, Level 3 telekinetic superhero and you were in great pain. Most of that was due to the injuries you had sustained while surviving a bombing the day before. Teacher’s painkiller was great, up until he took it away to slap down a Magic God. For now, you were splayed on a couch in your little office in School District 10. Kyouko was sleeping the other couch, Asuka hovering over her. The rest of the Problem Children were scattered about the room. They, along with Touma and Princess Carissa, were watching as Nayuta and Kaoru tended to you. Your arms lay on the coffee table, momentarily detached so that Nayuta could bandage your body back in to shape. It was more like a plaster cast when it set but you weren’t in a state to question anything at the moment.
Your mind hadn’t been idle in the mean time however. Call it a gut feeling but you felt the business with the Magic God was far from over. Teacher had yet to come back, as had the dog was supposedly Nayuta’s uncle. Their continued absence hung over the assembly like a pall. Every so often, Touma and the Princess would whisper fiercely at each other. You would have thought they were awkwardly flirting with the other but Kaoru seemed to know what they were on about. Nayuta was putting the finishing touches on her dressings and was again telling you to take the rest of the day off and to take it easy. By the desk, Sagara and Kyousuke had started going through a few papers and making calls to the local thugs for some clean up.
When you were up for talking you,
