"Who are you?"

That's the question I really should be asking. The question that echoes so loudly within my mind, I could have convinced myself I spoke it aloud. That suspicion is quickly purged however as she nods a little too proudly, considering the trivial task given to her. She's ready to leave, but is she ready for what will be asked of her? I can only hope she's right, praying silently as I watch her flit about my home packing the unnecessary sundries I request of her.

But who are you really, obliging one? Me, I have but one true name: Disgrace. Sheer and utter disgrace, that is who I am. I wonder, what will you think of me when you realize what I have done? Will you hate me as much I do, when you realize how easily I allowed you to make a decision you did not understand? Or when you realize how eagerly I risked your life, knowing nothing of your ability to survive the task presented to you? Or when you realize, how quickly those concerns were burned away by nothing more than juvenile desires.

What then, Nadja? Will you hate me? Abandon me? Or are you so cruel as to twist the knife once more by forgiving what should not be forgiven? Who are you?

I can only wonder what drives her, as her bright smile persists in spite of the incessant stream of pointless errands I rain down on her merely for my own amusement. And I can only wonder, as my gaze turns once more to the otherwise completely ordinary roll of paper safely tugged away on the top shelf, as the image buried so deeply in my mind resurfaces once more, and as I recognize every little detail, every single familiar stroke of the pen; Could it be that, somehow, even if it's only a little part, that you are...

Her?

It's possible, isn't it? After all that happened, for even a little to remain... If anyone was going to do it, she'd be the one? Or perhaps I am just imagining things, yet another delusion induced by my pathetic, lonely life. Perhaps I simply wish so desperately to see her again.

/tg/, are there any alignments that you would/have restricted from your gaming group if you could? (or at least scrutinized the player taking aforementioned alignment) If so, why?

I myself have decided that Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Evil are probably going to be restricted from my players, as I find the former is often taking by That Guy to be lolrandum and generally disruptive. The latter because anything less than Morder Orcs or Crossed, I feel is doing the alignment a disservice. (Also because being chaos all the time is tiring and rough, and it doesn't lend itself well to long-term plot development.)

Have any of you done similar? Like restrict Lawful Good, or True Neutral?

So I've lucked out on a girlfriend that's not only miles and miles above my league in every conceivable way, but also really enthusiastic about playing TRPGs with me. She's only done it a couple times, with our group (years ago, before I ever knew she had a crash on me, when she was just a friend of my sister we had to include because our parents said so), but it seems to have made a huge fucking impression on her because whenever we meet she keeps bring this subject up and asking when the next session would be and that I call her when it happens.

The problem is that the rest of the group really doesn't like her. I like my friends and I like my girlfriend, but I can totally see why they'd be personally incompatible. Besides that, I'm guessing there's a (quite possibly legitimate) fear of this inadvertently causing a "GMs girlfriend" type scenario. These are reportedly very hard to avert - you either dote on your girlfriend without intending to or you go too far the other way and end up bullying her character, which probably wouldn't make a mature girlfriend actually angry but might harm the gameplay. Of course, even if you don't do either, the very fact that the other players are convinced you intend to could by itself cause trouble.

I don't want to involve her with the group, because I'm fairly certain everyone'll come out of it angrier than they'd entered. On the other hand, I don't want to lie to my girlfriend (or, alternatively, tell her to her face that my friends just don't like her. That's bound to cause issues). For that same reason, "gathering everyone together and resolving the situation like adults" isn't really an option, either. It'd fundamentally involve telling people that other people hate them behind their backs.

Today, you might have just saved a young woman's life.

Of course, it's not a definite. By persuading Soma to return to her place at the Nameless Temple – or to consider the idea, at the very least – you aren't removing her from harm entirely. You're not sure if there's a way to completely remove someone from harm any more, not these days. Still, she'll be safer there than she would be anywhere else, like her old home with the Seer's lunatic cultists. That was a dangerous place to be, especially in the face of her dwindling faith.

Still, a different young woman died in the Nameless Temple, slain by one of the Emperor's soldiers. Shiki, her name was, and her death set a terrible chain of events in motion. There's a lesson there – never assume that things can't, or won't, get worse.

You never said it was an optimistic lesson.

I need a lethal TTRPG system for a WW2 campaign I have in mind.

Well, let me give more depth. I'm looking for something that will let me run, according to one outside observer who overheard me describing my ideas:
