When is it considered okay to kill your players and have the campaign continue without them?
When it's near the end? In the very beginning?
How do you deal with a dead player, do they just sit there and wait it out?
I don't get it. Why wouldn't they just roll a new character?
>>48023169
He said kill the players anon, not their characters. You don't get to roll up a new character when you die in real life.
ITT: Careless talk costs lives.
Learn the difference between "player" and "character", it could save you from 21 years in prison when wondering which one is acceptable to kill off.
It's been a while since the last larp thread here and some people always complain that we don't have enough so here it is.
A genuine larp thread!
With pictures, stories, questions and answers and whatever you want.
Don't forget guys that we have less than one month until Drachenfest
Is an enemy oriented around Debuffs ever a fun fight? How could it be made to be fun?
>>48022769
rationed use of dispels
Everything happens in slowmotion, almost like Matrix.
The players will fail everything they try, including walking upright and making logical decisions.
Since the enemy they're fighting is actually a gaggling old wizard, with no other schools than debuffs, they're now on even grounds...
>>48023041
And so begun the geriatric war...
why can't space marines have girlfriends or boyfriends?
>>48022689
Erectile non-function.
Because for every Astartes that decided to have a parter there'd be at least a dozen

trying to exploit the SHIT out of their relationship as a means of drawing the Space Marine towards Chaos. Also, the lifestyles of Space Marines are highly regimented and monastic, which rarely leaves room for forming romantic bonds. They're indoctrinated, from day one, to put the destruction of the Emperor's enemies (and MAYBE the defense of his people) as their foremost priority.

Holy shit i traveled back in time
>we r empernins finest and le protectors of mankind :DD
>except we are hardly human
>fighting for the most opressive regime in history that turned mankind into shambling pieces of shit
>usually outright ignoring people they are supposed to protect
>SoBs are almost on the same level without any biological enhancements
>half of them betrayed Emperor, proved to be unreliable
Muhreens are failure made manifest
>SoBs are almost on the same level
delusional SoBfags are just adorable
Well, that's sort of the point.
>>48022651
They were made for a very specific purpose.
Go to the battles that can't be won by real people and win them.
That is their core reason for being. Everything else is optional extras.
What's worse: Having a player roll up a blatant Avatar rip-off, or having one make Geralt and hope we don't notice?
Pic related.
>>implying there's anything wrong with either
>>48022623
Depends which Avatar desu
Westaboo kung fu or alien furfag?
>>48022623
LOTR rip offs also apply.
Your currenr party comes across the lost hoard of a long-dead dragon.
As you inspect the hoard, you don't find gold or jewelery, but a wide assortment of weapons, both familiar and new, and some of designs you have never seen before. Clearly the dragon was capable of traveling through time and space, and have collected its hoard of arms from many different dimensions and timelines.
Your party decides on grabbing two crates of strange weapons and little cartridges. The weapon crate have strange runic inscriptions that reads "Aвтoмaт Кaлaшникoвa", and the cartridges seem to fit in a little detachable metal container that is part of the weapons. You find out that the weapon spits magic fire if a cartridge is inserted and a pin is pressed on the weapon.
How does you campaign change?
>tl;dryour party is given AK-47's. What happens?
>>48022031
They seem to be pretty similar to a crossbow in operation - the trigger's about the same and the charging handle makes sense. I'm sure we could figure these out.
>>48022031
Player 1 accidentally shoots player 2; player 2 holds a grudge; game explodes in rampant violence as this escalates into mass gang violence fueled by the dragons hoard.
>>48022168
On the other hand.... they make so much noise, there's a limited ammo supply, and they STILL only do 1d10 per shot without AP thanks to the retarded firearms rules.
/tg/, what is it about being a hero that you, personally enjoy? I don't mean a vague hero, or an anti-hero, or just someone who does some good deeds. I mean traditional heroes, old fashion heroes, the kind of heroes who will wade through hell and high water, face the impossible odds, suffer horror and harm all to save a single soul, or to defend a thousand more.
The shinies you get.
It's simple really, determination to do the right thing
>>48021796
> I mean traditional heroes, old fashion heroes
Newsflash, traditional heroes are usually hounded by tragedy and come to sad or ironic ends.
If you mean "shallow morning cartoon hero" then say that, don't say traditnional, old-fashion hero.
Been kinda interested in it for a while, but I've heard some negative things about it here
As a relative newbie to SR, I enjoy it. The system is janky as fuck across all the various iterations, and takes a lot of work to handle, but as long as your GM and a decent amount of the group understand the rules it works fine.
>>48021519
It's about the same as 3.5/Pathfinder. There are easier systems to learn and use, but if you get everything down and play with reasonable people with common sense and over the age of 15, it's not nearly as bad as the haters make it out to be.
>>48021519
I have yet to find another system that handles firearms as competently.
So my brother and I are just getting into D & D today. It's really complicated compared to any other game I've played. Can anyone explain the basics really in a very simplified way?
Depends on the setting
>>48021141
What do you mean by setting?
Which edition are you playing? It's hard to give any meaningful comments here without knowing that
If you still haven't decided and complicated is your biggest turn off I recommend 5th ed
Fantasy art thread? Towns and castles and stuff. Need to make myself a nice collection for inspiration.
Gonna dump the few I have, but there is something I am looking for in particular. Looking for a fortress built on the ocean side. My players are about to assault a pirate hideout to claim for their own.
WE WUZ LUNARCHS N SHIET

O-oh. My then. I dont care if this turns out to be shit I love it
Anyone have this? Pic related.
Anyone try is? How is it?
>>48017743
I'm waiting to buy it when Mythras comes out, but I have not played it. I am assuming it is good because the team behind it is amazing and the preview makes it look worth buying.
I'm definitely getting impatient for the Mythras release because this book though.
>>48017817
How different is Mythras going to be from RQ6? The way I understood it was that it only smoothed a few things out; no drastic changes.
>>48017849
Cleaned up formatting, all errata, rules clarifications, adding firearms into core, etc.
I just want to buy the new book after seeing the free book's new formatting. It looks like a much better reference.
ITT: Systems you like but nobody ever wants to let you run
>>48017500
im gonna be really surprised if some retard doesnt post F.A.T.A.L op
Also Cypher system is hot garbage, suicide soon.
>>48017522
Are you going to post a reason why the system is "Hot Garbage" or are you just gonna fade away?
Anyway, >>48017500, pic related. Since literally everyone I know is a 3.pf faggot, I will never, ever, ever, ever get to run a high lethality game.
my players told me that only autistic people would ever back a kickstarter from a 4chan user
and then they said the rules were shit without reading them
This is how I Tengu.

Where's your Bakeneko buddy?

fun fact i live in the same city as this crow. He's pretty tame and pulls this like this all the time. He rides the subway, comes in to a local gym, and is basically a hometown hero.
