“I’ve felt this thing’s power. It’s powerful and sickening, we have to stop it.”
“An’ how exactly did you feel it?” Shaela asks with a raised eyebrow.
“It doesn’t matter how she knows,” Trish butts in “the only thing that does matter is that we’re going to find this thing, and kill it. This kind of magical danger can’t be allowed to continue to live here.” You glance down at your tiny Lord, it doesn’t happen much, but sometimes you get the feeling that Trish was born to lead people. Or your bond is just screwy and makes you think sappy shit like that.
Either or
Shaela gives you all another grin, this one somehow more wild and bloodthirsty.
“Shit I like the way y’all think, especially you squirt. Killing this thing is gonna be fun!” She says with a loud guffah. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t feel the same why, fighting something that freaky really is going to be fun.

I try to add write-ins to the post if they’re applicable to the situation, shitposting write-ins will be ignored unless they are genuinely funny and can be added.

“Damage report!” Commander Grey shouts. Devon shakes his head as he comes to from a high-G blackout. The bury shapes of the bridge slowly sharpen around him as alarms fill his hearing.
“Shield cap's been breached.” Dr. Mordey replies. “The plow layer is gone, and tanks six through twelve are reading empty. Multiple hull fractures reported and all systems are on emergency power.” There is a frightening shudder through the ship's hull like a deep, painful groan. “We're leaking canderon, the drive ring's cracked and the spine is indicating extreme internal stress.”
“Status on the power tap?” Grey says quickly. Devon watches the blood from his nose dribble out, and slowly arc backwards to the rear of the ship across the room as it splatters on a wall.
“I'm reading gravitic fluctuations across the hull. It's shaking the spine apart, and engineering is reading high levels of radiation, but it's functional for now and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse.”
“Do we have sensors?”
“Flanking only. We're blind at the bow.”
“Good, get us a view of Aral and try to reestablish contact with the ground team.”

>>Information
This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process
I hope everyone has fun.

You win. Have afamiliar shitpost
Carrying an unconscious Commander Red between the two of you, you and Goku soar out of the compound aboard the Flying Nimbus, leaving the once proud fortress abandoned and half-ruined.
The Red Ribbon Army is beaten, and six of the Dragonballs are safely in your possession, but as always, there's a problem. The final ball isn't showing up on either your radar, or Goku's radar. It's strange, as before the two of you went to the compound, all seven balls were showing up.
It seems they're just broken again, so there's not much to do except go find Bulma. You hope she isn't too irritated about having to fix the radar.
Well, at least a stop at West City will give you the chance to deliver Commander Red to the authorities.
A sound catches your attention, and you look up to see if Goku said anything, only to find him staring at something below.
Looking down, you can see a group of people in the road leading away from the compound, waving their arms and shouting up to you and Goku.
>A. Ask Goku if he can tell who it is
>B. Ask Goku to fly down there
>C. Ignore it
>D. Something else
>You are Maple Son-Mahogany, one of two young Tuffle twins thrown at Earth starting in early Dragon Ball by your "father," Dr. Raichi
>"Canon" had already taken a sharp turn from the "norm" when you began, and through your actions, choices, and dialogue, took even further turns from the "norm," and will probably continue to do so
>Stats and dice mechanics are used, and can be explained again as needed

Last time, on Dragon Ball Tuffle Quest Z! You successfully performed the Fusion Dance with Chi-chi, then enjoyed a bachelorette party with Launch, finding a certain alien prince attempting to enjoy some Earth culture in the process.
>>48060331
Tien and Launch's wedding is, in contrast to some plans Pilaf tries to make to celebrate "Mifan's beloved Crane School Master" getting hitched, relatively subdued and quiet. Trip manages to perform the ceremony for them, and the bouquet toss, after Launch quietly reminds you and your brother not to interfere this time, does seem to hit its intended target. Lapis seems to give a nervous gulp as he spots your former student with a sly, almost smug grin on her face.
They do, however, have a rather short honeymoon, as they and the rest of the Crane School opt to go on the rescue mission to Korin, Piccolo and Krillin joining them for added support and an emergency exit strategy. To your surprise, Kami also mentions that he will be leaving, but not to go with them; he is off to Namek, to learn from his people directly, and perhaps gain greater insight into the Dragon Balls, and how to potentially improve them. But before they leave, he requests that you all gather at the Lookout for a special announcement...
"I'm still just a bit worried about him going off on his own." your brother mentions. "I mean... sure, it's his ship that he's using, and with the improvements Bulma, Dr. Briefs, and I have made to it he'll be there in no time... but what if, you know, a certain redhead-obsessed demon lady stalker catches wind of this?"
Chi-chi lightly bonks Acer on the head for that. "Framing of the question aside, that is a good point."
Lapis taps two fingers to his forehead. "Hey, if the old man ends up in trouble, I'll be able to bail him out."
>A. Ask Lapis about this Instant Transmission technique thing
>B. Bring up the Fusion Dance, show it off with Chi-chi if they need a demonstration
>C. Kami will be fine, you worry too much, brobro
>D. You know... kinda have a point there, Acer

Good morning boys and girls, and welcome back to AAJ. Feel free to ask me questions! Do be aware that answers to questions about spoiled cards can range anywhere from clear and concise to "Dude I don't fuckin' know, we'll have to wait for the FAQ".

I have pic related on the battlefield along with Havoc Festival. What can or can't I do? What happens if I attempt to give my opponent a higher life total?
>>48023980
You can't use it on an opponent who has less than 13 life, because if they can't gain life then the exchange can't happen. If they're ABOVE 13 life you're good.
>>48023999
To be more specific, you can ACTIVATE it targeting an opponent below 13, but the ability won't do anything when it resolves. When you set a life total to a specific number, that player either gains or loses life until they hit that number, and with Havoc Festival they can't gain life, so if they're below 13 then you can't swap their life total with the Tree's toughness because that would involve them gaining life.
Welcome everyone, new and old players alike! This is Tundra civ, a civ thread series in a fictional, now sci-fi setting where you play as the rulers of the White Republic, a nation on the last surviving human world - the moon Terra Nova.
Previously on Tundra civ:

We've made first contact with an alien civilization! The Omicron Federation, a fairly young space-faring civilization, detected our long-distance electronic frequencies and radio transmissions after we ourselves began building our first colony ships. Expressing a desire to peacefuly coexist with each other, an Omicron embassy was established on the White Republic's Space Station, Yolen.
Now we set our sights on a whole new world - Space, the final frontier.
It is the year 1242 After the Exile.

Redid the map of our solar system, Argosa, on Photoshop.
Last time you asked for more knowledge on the galaxy - the Omicron Ambassador has sent us a star chart showing most of what they themselves have explored so far.
I got autistic with our home moon on this map, kek.
Clarification - we haven't started colonizing any of the planets in our system yet, though we have four Space Arks ready, each capable of carrying a maximum of 5000 pioneers to a planet in our system or a nearby one, thanks to our new warpdrives(tests have been successful in travelling up to a (fairly small) distance.

High Elf by pure randomness. Turned into one of my favorite characters.

Just saw pic related for the first time.
Pretty fun movie, but the whole thing feels like a completely failed D&D campaign.
What are some other movies that has that kind of feeling?

How about the D&D movie?

Welcome to 1980s fantasy movies youngling.
Now go watch Conan, Red Sonja, Excalibur and Lady Hawke.
Hey /tg/
What do you think is your favorite mechanics for attacking? Do you prefer the d&d style where its Stats+Levels or something where weapon skill ranks are involved? Would you rather throw one die and then add static or throw 8 and then add them together? Exploding Dice/Criticals? Opinions!
>>48064392
I prefer RuneQuest 6.
I prefer to keep it as stupidly simple as possible. A single throw, a successful hit does 1 damage, expanding crit range (On d20 say 16-19) that does 2 and maximum hit that does 3-4.
Describing attacks confers other benefits, such as changes in game status (unhorsing opponents, grappling the enemy to ground etc).
Stupid simple.
>>48064494
*high five*
I thought i was alone
Hello /tg/, I need some help. I have a group of friends who never played tabletops that have decided they want to play D&D and they asked me if I could be the DM of the game and help them with the rules and everything else. The problem here is that I only ever had experiences as player and never as DM (and only with 3.5 and Pathfinder).
So I ask you: what's the fastest way to learn how to DM in D&D? Do you have any tips? Do I have to memorize the DMG?
>>48063515
>what's the fastest way to learn how to DM in D&D?
Just do it.
>Do you have any tips?
Get a better system.
>Do I have to memorize the DMG?
Not if you can convincingly pretend that you do.

>>48063633
It's the only systems I currently know
>>48063744
Then read a few other systems. Preferably ones that don't work against the GM every step of the way. It's not exactly rocket science.
Does Turn Undead work on goats and other ethereal undead?
>>48063355
no, it will just make the goat confused.
>>48063355
I bet you thought you were clever, misspelling ghost, but you weren't.
