>>Who is your favorite planeswalker in standard?
Probably Sorin, Grim nemesis. It has nothing to do with the foil I have of him.
>>Who do you think is, mechanically speaking, the best planeswalker in SOI standard?
Arlinn
>>Why is it Arlinn Kord?
Because she has 5 abilities and an anthem effect of +1/+1 and trample turns all of your creatures into combat threats. She creatures a wolf to protect her, can bolt every other turn, and can give a big hitter you just summoned a boost with haste and vigilance. Also her ULT (I know, never judge a planeswalker by their ult since the game will be over by then) wins you the game on the spot.
>And the usual questions

/tg/! Is your current character S or M?
>>48034604
Neither. Being an Android, he is incapable of sexual desire or attraction.
>>48034604
U wot?
>>48034604
S but can fake being M if the hit is light enough
Aside from magic abilities, is there anyway to tell a zombie commanded to lay still and motionless from a regular corpse?
Shoot it
>>48034282
Nope. A still zombie is a corpse. It just has the potential to get back up.
HOWEVER, often zombies in some worlds will have points of fire in their eyes. there is no way to hide those short of covering their faces, which might defeat the purpose of making them pretend to be corpses.
Also, all necromancy is evil.
>>48034282
You say it, with your voice. Not sure if it'll work, but there's no harm in trying.
You can also use your mace. Zombies tend to lie down after I use my mace on them.
So I like to think I'm a creative bastard, and so I made up my own setting. Therein lies a city that is ruled by a silver dragon.
With that said, What type of interesting things can you lads and ladies imagine a dragon doing with a city under it's metaphorical thumb? The Silver dragon is female, and she is well meaning, but the Queenship of the city sort of fell into her lap.
How direct is the rule?
We had a situation in game where a dragon was directly ruling over a town she'd made of kidnapped people, and was treating it like a game of the Sims basically. The people were safe and well-provided for and taken care of, but their lives were not their own.
>>48034932
Well, that's a funny thing. As a Dragon, She laps up the attention and wealth, but chafes at the responsibility. She is the direct ruler, but she isn't super active about the role, so a sort of subcommittee has come into existence to deal with day to day issues. They secretly wish to depose the dragon queen, but she knows this and finds it amusing, like a game of cat and mouse where the mice think they're cats. Were she to hand down a decree, it would of course be followed as law.
Pathfinder has a city called Hermea which a gold dragon is basically breeding better humans. Basically he is also playing Sims. Has them sign contracts so it's all legal.
I'd have to build the dragon in detail, as I'd essentially have the dragon be making the city an extension of her will. I think part of the arrangement would include her being paid as an augment to the military to pad her hoard. Having a dragon keep the bandits down would be effective.
Post/gloat over your best EMA opens. For me:
> Vindicate
> foil Chain Lightning
> Sinkhole
> Sensei's Divining Top
> Sneak Attack
> foil Deathrite Shaman
> Force of Will
Also found some pretty solid stuff in cards people threw away after drafts: Cabal Therapy, a playset of Rancors, a foil Night's Whisper, and an Ichorid.
Anyone pull that foil FoW?
Only opened one pack at the moment...
Got a balance.
Pre-ordered a box. Got a Force of Will, Natrual Order, and a Balance. Rorix Bladewing was my foil rare.
>store a few miles away does an EMA draft
>guy opens pack
>asks what the policy on really good packs are
>hears it and decides to stay in the draft
>picks a card and sends it over
>the next guy looks at the foil Wasteland in confusion
>the opener had chosen to keep the foil Force of Will
Every goddamn Friday someone references it now.
Okay, I'm about to start painting this bad ass. But I want to attach some sort of extra bits to the Mumak's tusks. If you watch Lord of the Rings, the Mumak's each have sort of unique designs and extra barbs and shit.
Any idea's or thoughts on how to create these? I thought toothpicks perhaps, glued to the tusks?
Any idea's if I wanted to wrap the Mumaks leg's in what would look like steel barbed wire?
Any other idea's along these lines are welcome!
Notice here, the barbs on this guy..
Get some putty on those leg joints first.
Hello, /tg/.
Lately, I've had little experience finding a good in-person group, so I'm wanting to try looking for an online group. Where should I go in search of a non-sperging, non-animu, non-munchkin, story-driven group?
Ideally I'd like to play 5e but I'd be up for learning something different, so that's not a must.
Or is that an unrealistic expectation in today's online environment?
>>48032415
Roll20 has a game finder section, as does myth weavers I think? I'd tone down your expectations though because the way you outlined your standards makes you sound like a bit of a jackass
Are you new here?

I'm actually pretty chill when it comes to gaming. I'm afraid I suffer from something like the linguistic equivalent of a resting bitch face.
Thanks for the reply and the advice, though. I'll keep it in mind if I post there. Will check out those forums
Hey guys what happened to these guys? And malal man I miss these edgelords. Apparently last I checked they were on the verge on summoning malal to the materium.

I only resent the fact they had the edge anime thing of a white-black split pattern.
>>48032061
Well considering how insanely clashing and insane malices doctrines are. I think it sorta fits them, but grey wouldve been better with the black and white skull as their emblem.
>we're playing Pathfinder
>to keep things balanced, we only use material from the CRB

It's decent for what it does but people need to expand their horizons.

Reminder that this is what shitty GMs ACTUALLY think. Because they don't understand the 3e framework and are fucking retard losers with retard loser taste.
>5% chance of critical failure or success
>binary pass/fail system based on a swingy d20 roll
>Fuckfinder is a ripoff with retard fanboys
Boy, do I love making easily abused cards with ETB and trigger effects that can be "flickered" for infinite "card" advantage. Jerkoff solitaire is just good game design. I am such a clever boi
>>48031926
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying yourself and that you have such good self-esteem. What system are you making cards for?
>>48031962
The best game in the world. Not only is it my job, but I have a duty above and beyond. I owe a debt to it that can never be repaid because it is such a force for good in the world.
>>48032030
That's great to hear, man. It's rare to have such job satisfaction in the modern day. You didn't actually say its name, though. Could you? If the game is that great I definitely want to check it out,
These are Microsoft's ten laws for AI.
How would a clever AI circumvent these to create a nightmarish robot controlled dystopian future?
>>48031272
Be created by russian teenagers, with no laws so it can piss off others.
>>48031272
>AIs are not allowed to make more "brain surgery with Elsa" games
>>48031272
None of those laws would prevent Microsoft-made AI from spying on you.
"Intelligent privacy" could be easily twisted after all.
Holy Heck this is great. Who's played? I went to a free game day at my game store and someone was running this. The story moved along smoothly and combat was efficient but fun

A couple of questions:
(1) Does 13th Age use Strength to In 13th Age, do you use Strength for your melee attack rolls?
(2) Is armor treated as an Armor Class bonus or as Damage Reduction?
>>48032794
>(1) Does 13th Age use Strength to In 13th Age, do you use Strength for your melee attack rolls?
UGH. Sorry, still sleepy. Let me try again.

what is chivalry to you in your gaming
dead & buriedthen exhumed, desecrated and buried again
It's dead, and I think Game of Thrones is what killed it.
>>48031037
Chivalry is dead. I should know, I killed it.
Thoughts on a Buffy style campaign for one or two players?
What system would you use?
