Why are Pro-mattes so underrated?
>>48039725
I only use Ultra Pro Matte.
I play commander mostly and they make for easy shuffling even with 100 card decks. Plus without the glare my cards can be seen several seats away at a table.
For tokens I do the light neon blue ones and then I pick a color based on the vibe of the deck. Like Erebos is purple and Rafiq is yellow.

Pro Matte are really solid sleeves, much better than the standard Ultra Pro sleeves. They shuffle really nice and I prefer them to my KMC honestly.
Oh thank god for you anon been waiting weeks for one of these.
Hey /tg/ ! I am looking for a cool online TCG to play while I can't play paper Magic. I am ready to possibly sink some money in it but not too much neither. I don't want MTGO as the interface makes me want to kill myself.
If possible something that can be played via browser.
What are you guys playing ?
Bumping with more info.
I am playing Hearthstone but it seems really hard to get good deck fast as even sinking money in it would just give me random cards. I love it though, and I am playing a bit every day.
Help pls

I'm going to be playing a prince character pretty soon and i wondered if you guys could give me some advice on playing them? or suggestions on what to do with them?
for starters, I've never played royalty, i have no idea anything else other than i don't want to play a pompous asshole, i don't know where to start
Pic related is my character

>i have no idea anything else other than i don't want to play a pompous asshole
Make him idealistic, royalty also has duties, not only privileges.
>>48039583
Start by knowing as much as you can about the politics of the setting. Talk it out with your GM. Are there any quirks to his setting's royalty or noble houses that you should keep track of?
>>48039583
First off, DON'T play a pompous asshole, it gets old and annoying really fast and is more of a caricature than a real character.
So... start off by getting a motivation down first. Why is nobility adventuring? Was he exiled? Is it tradition that nobles must prove their worth? Does he feel the current rulers are corrupt and need to be stopped?
Once you've got a motivation down, start considering the difficulties that a noble upbringing might bring into play. Don't be a pompous asshole on purpose, but like... finding the concept of peasants starving as something alien or hard to understand because you've been hungry, that's an OK thing to have. It sounds pompous, but it's not intentional, and creates potential for revelations and character growth.
Also, look at Fire Emblem games on how to play nobility without being an asshole about it. Many are nobles, and they're characters driven by honor, a sense of regalty, and the kind of mindset you'd expect from royalty, but they're still the heroes and they're still interesting characters.
I'm looking for recordings or podcasts of /tg/ games to listen to/watch to fill the void between actually being able to play games myself. Any suggestions on good ones? Modron picture because Primus wills it.
>>48039485
The Yog Radio podcasts of Horror on the Orient Express and other Call of Cthulhu adventures were quite good.
And Alice Isn't Dead.
>>48039485
Any podcasts where they talk about the games themselves and their mechanics? I find most "actual play" recordings to be incredibly grating.
Does anyone have the rules to that rolled GoT house generation? You see people make threads occasionally about it.
Can't go wrong with the Eyrie
>>48039415
It does all the stuff like kingdom randomly via dice rolls.
>>48039440
So does the Eyrie. Just pick the Eyrie.
With all the elf hate that goes on here, I'm surprised you guys haven't figured out who the real race is most deserving of hate. The Dwarves, that's who.
>would sooner kill you for a mug of goon, nugget of gold, or to impress other dwarf scum
>greedy weaklings who hide behind their caves, forts, and traps instead of out in the open like everyone else
>ugly
>rude
>smells of shit and piss constantly
>untrustworthy, greedy scum intent on hoarding all of their ill-gotten gains
>big noses
What's not to hate? Nothing, that's what. Dwarf hate thread.
>>48038525
Don't forget that they always dig too deep and release some ancient evil.
>>48038525
Feels good to be a 185cms tall, lithe and beautiful person. I feel the ire of short, fat, neckbearded grogs when I role an elf and they feel obligated to inform me how self concious they feel about their own dwarven stature.
>implying most Dwarves aren't honorable as fuck if not stubborn and occasionally thinking too much with their hearts
>implying they aren't strongk and talented architects and smiths forging grand cities out of mountains, only slightly less open their your average human settlement
>implying that physical appearance is more important than character
>implying they aren't just too rough and love you in their own, flawed way
>you got me there
>implying dwarves aren't loyal albeit gold-loving teddy bears who earned their gold through hard work in the forge, mines, or on the battlefield
>you got me there
Fuck off, tree-hugger. You can't fool me.
Would pic related work as an Imperial Guard regiment?
Ye
Pretty much every armed group of people works as imperial guard regiment.
>>48038448
Jesus. This culture and this weapon should simply not be a thing. Everything in my being just screams 'o shit'.
I have been playing ches for yeeeeeeeeeears
>Feels good not selling my Demonic Pact
Doesn't Origins and Dragons Rotate out after Eldritch Moon Releases?

I HAVE BEEN PLAYING CHESSSSSSS FOR YEEEEEEEEEARS
>modern
>>48038057
Not until Kaladesh. 3 months of legality remains.
And it can still be done in modern after that.
Hello /TG/!
We need a name for our space ship in Rogue Trader. Our Rogue Trader is really crap at picking names. He suggested such amazing names such as "Boaty McBoatface" and... Thats it.
Please bless our party of four with a name.
Pic Related (Our Rogue Trader)
What kind of character is he?
Is he a murderhobo?
Does he have a code of honor?
Blasphemous Watcher is just some random edge name I made.
Twice for Flinching is always good
The Emperor's Wallet
So where do you have your public headquarters or secret lair? Gimme some ideas.
>>48036917
>not having a mobile lair
>You encounter a zombie and her ghost.
What do you do?
>>48035706
Punch her ghost in the leg until she explodes.
>>48035734
Turns out the ghost isn't her stand.
>>48035706
STANDO POWA
But seriously, the idea of a ghost haunting her former body that's been reanimated to be used as a mindless zombie minion is a really cool one. Lots of plot hooks there.
Are there any documented cases of the various Chaos factions fighting one another?
Nurgle vs. Khorne, etc.?
>>48035268
Are you kidding? The only reason Chaos hasn't taken over the universe and Khorne hasn't overpowered the other three gods is because they're constantly fighting each other. The only time they ever weren't fighting each other was when they were helping Horus fight the Emperor.
>>48035285
What do the various Chaos marines think of each other?
Can a marine from one of the four factions join another and vice versa?
Do the chaos gods headhunt each other's best and brightest marines?
So what are some ways that a paladin can be played other than the normal servant of light?
>>48035263
>A Servant of Light
Well, I suppose you'd need to define that one first.
>>48035263
>Jerk Paladin
Good doesn't have to be nice. Not antagonistic to anyone, but blunt, sarcastic, maybe kind of passive-aggressive. Does the right thing and upholds the law, but nobody really likes them.
>Paladin of Friendship
Places insane value on friendship and camaraderie, devoting their time to winning over the rest of the party and as many villains as possible.
>Power Ranger Paladin
Cheesy 90's PSA incarnate. Befriends children easily, warns them not to litter, do drugs, or drop out of school. Fond of goofy poses and catchphrases.
>>48035263
I could see a druid paladin who served a nature god being fun. Would need to flesh it out.
Can Buddhist lore make for a decent setting? What sort of stuff would go down? I see all kinds of cool shit in the artwork from Google images
I read about Buddhist Hercules winding up in Japan and became intrigued
>>48035122
So-called Buddhist lore is just other religions and myths whose aspects were blended with Buddhism by people who never actually received any education on Buddhist thought.
>>48035175
Isn't that every religion?
IIRC the nips called the kami "emanations" of the bodhisattvas
Like how european pagan gods became saints and demons

Anyone playing any games? How are they going? What are you doing?
>>48034885
>I played one game, we're setting up another. I know of 3 more on Roll20. I really enjoyed it. We journeyed to a frontier outpost and found out that corruption the workers were becoming tainted. Most of the session was and investigation that determined the corruption was coming from a nearby ruin. Next session, we're going in.

I'm just waiting for my stuff to get here and have enough friends built up to run a group for them.
I plan on dangling a few hooks here and there but I plan on directly stealing a plot right out of a short Hellboy comic. Actually, I could steal a whole lot of short stories from Hellboy for plot ideas and have it work just fine and dandy, though some original works or at least more esoteric stuff should be thrown into the mix.
