This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

Sup /tg/. I'm going to be playing an Apocalypse World game sometime in the next few weeks, and my group is still trying to come up with the setting. All we've got so far is that we're in Vancouver, BC.
Help me come up with some fun factions/encounters/ideas for post-apocalyptic Canada. Because it's Canada, it's ok to be a bit silly. Here's what I've got so far:
-Hockey equipment is extremely common, with pads, helmets, jerseys, and sticks being common components of one's loadout. Bandits and raiders are especially fond of hockey armor and weapons. Hockey sticks getting turned into spears and halberds is not unusual.
-The descendants of the Canadian Mounties wear battered, torn up uniforms as they ride about on mutated moose, serving as a hard-ass lawbringer group. Think stereotypical wild west themes, but Canadianized.
-Snow is frequent, and thus snow vehicles are too.
-Seattle, Washington, seems fairly close by, so that could be road-trip destination.
-Everyone is really superficially polite. Apologies are very common. Even during firefights.
What else you got?

Personally I really like Chronicles of the Void. It's a Space opera setting that's only $10 on Drive Thru RPG. The blurb:

To remain on the forefront of knowledge, exploration, and change. Luvos is in the process of writing a series of encyclopedias of planar knowledge. He is experimenting with means of achieving immortality and slowly perfecting his revenge against his wizard peers.
>Traits
Luvos has little respect for conventions. He enjoys the fleeting nature of comprehension and more enjoys the hunt for knowledge itself. He has demonstrated a frightening degree of patience and a somewhat obsessive personality. He is easily flustered. Luvos is attracted to forbidden knowledge and other things an authority figure says are dangerous this is derived from a desire to overcompensate and impress others by taming such dangerous things. Growing up as a half-drow raised by humans has given him an affinity for the taboo and makes him feel like a kindred spirit to most things labelled as evil and secretive.
>Flaws
In addition to having little respect for tradition, Luvos' time spent exploring the multiverse and planescape has left him reluctant to put any faith in the moral boundaries of any one plane. He has picked up the habit of introducing himself in fancier and fancier nonsensical titles. He believes he is the smartest person in any room but that everyone seems to know something he doesn't. Any attempts at appearing friendly are usually hindered by his creepy and overblown mannerisms, lack of social awareness, and the stench of brimstone clinging to his robes.

Thug doesn't read much if at all. He only knows a handful of written words. Vadania on the other hand would be quite well read and most likely reads tales about mysterious legends.

Welcome to the Accidental Magical Girl thread!
Various worlds and multiverses have become connected together via the mysterious Overcity, a sprawling landscape inhabited by monsters and magical beings. Girls and boys endowed with their new supernatural powers can work together solving conflicts that arise!
>This is NOT a greentext adventure style CYOA with one GM and thread posting to dictate the adventure, but rather a hub thread for multiple storycrafters to use. A majority of activity (including campaigns) instead happens in the IRC, which is open for newbies to join.
Characters can be rolled with either the CYOA's purple PDF which is intended as a writing prompt and is in the process of developing an independent auxiliary combat system, or AMGC's blue pdf which contains combat rules for PNP campaigns along with the rolls. The IRC mostly uses AMGC.

The Gnome Barbarian has never been a good character. Ever. The joke isn't that funny. It's on par with "Grandma knows kung-fu! Yeah! Get 'em grandma!". It doesn't even work anymore because it's so cliche that I expect the smaller creatures/characters to be stronger than the bigger ones now.
Can we just finally agree that the joke has always been unfunny and stop creating that character and characters like it?

Anything without a whole lot of examples to draw from can seem poorly defined.
Grim Bright in Mirror's Edge is basically that everything's all nice and shiny, the bright aspect of it, but it's under a corrupt and all-powerful surveillance state government that can, and gets away with murdering anyone they feel is inconvenient to them, or frame innocent and inconvenient people for the murders they commit.
