Is there a way to buy cheap warhammer 40k models in Australia? It just seems like games workshop in 2012 decided to throw away their ethics.

I'm currently developing a game for my group. I've gone the extra mile to make this into a full guide book. However, now that I'm nearing 350 pages, I encountered many frustrations along the way. Wanted to make a post to see if anyone here had any insights to assist me.
I've been using OpenOffice Writer for a long while. Does anyone here use any other programs to create their guides? I would like to see more options to create tables, insert page border art, and just have more media in general.

Help me make my D&D character for a upcoming campaign with some friends. I know how to actually make the character obviously, I just need some helps with ideas cause I've been drawing a blank for the past 2 hours.
>>50706202
How does your group do stats? For me i find that if i roll up some stats and see what i get for each attribute, then that gives me a range of classes to choose from that could be viable with that stat distribution, and from there i try to find an interesting idea within those classes.
>>50706217
I really like that idea but we're doing point buy.

Rolled 7 (1d10)
Alright, /tg/, time for this thread again.
Here we roll races for a setting and build the world around them.
Simply roll 1d10 and name your race or fact about the race.
On a roll of 1, the race existed in the setting, but is now extinct.
If you roll 2-5, the race doesn't exist in the setting.
6-9 means that race does exist.
10 means that the race is one of dominant races in the setting.
Same with facts, except roll of 1 means the opposite is true, you can override
the facts with higher rolls, and roll of 10 means you can't override it, it's absolute truth.
I'll start with the obvious:
>Humans
Rolled 9 (1d10)
Poképeople

Woohoo! First good roll in a while.

Running a 5e campaign of 3 TTRPG virgins.
Rolling the druid and I suggested he download the app "D&D 5 Spellbook Cards" but he has an iPhone and there are no good free apps.
What is a cost-effective way to keep him in-the-know with his spells? The standard character sheets do not have enough room to hold all the spells he could prepare and having lots of paper sounds unwieldy for a newbie.
get fightclub 5 on iphone
>>50706214
Thats a good one, also google for xml files to import as the app itself doesn't have all the spells.

Sweet, I am gonna check this out, brb
I'm planning on running a Cyberpunk 2020 game soon. I really like the Netrunning, and I appreciate how it's set up. However, I feel like in a game with one or two hackers and more focus on social and combat, occasionally stopping the game for every other fucking player for like a half hour for, basically, an individual "combat" thing with a lot to remember isn't the best for flow of the game and fun.
Anyone have a simplified or revised Netrunning system for Cyberpunk 2020? Some experience in a way they expedited it, maybe a flowchart or something?
>>50705650
There's no netrunning system in any game that convinced me 100%. I always found Cyberpunk 2020 to have one of the worst systems until I saw that you can hack stuff directly without having to go through the mini-game. Basically, you scan an area with the right program and it shows you everything that is remotely controlled (and that can be hacked with a right program).
>>50705650
Don't need to interrupt the game for netrunners. They take their turn like everyone else.
Also, congrats for having chosen to play the only real Cyberpunk game, OP.
Tell me about Moonclan Grots and Squigs.
They look interesting.
>>50705540
They definitely used to be when they were goblins and weren't fighting Bloodsecrators over bloodonium.
>>50705540
Superior goblins incoming, try better next time copy cats.
>They look interesting
They not, and you have thread for it.
>>50705598
I dunno.
>>50705626
But do those gobbos have hordes of squigs? Squigs are what really interests me.
I love 5e because I can reflavor classes however I want.
Want a samurai?
>Barbarian, Totem path.
>Rename that shizzle, Bear = Turtle, Eagle = Dragon, Wolf = Tiger, I don't fucking know.
>Reflavor "rage" to "zen".
>Longsword is now katana.
>You don't even have to wear armor because Barbarian, so you can rock the sweet-ass Samurai Jack look.
I could also make samurai with fighter, monk, bard, etc. It's fun.
So you enjoy 5e because of something you can do in almost every class based RPG ever? I'm kinda confused as to why you single out 5e for that, it doesn't seem to have any particular advantage in that respect compared to any other class based RPG.
>>50705511
>Want a samurai
Check Unearthed Arcana, there's actually a Samurai subclass in there. Also, while I like 5e, you can refluff any class in any game. Your DM/GM just has to be down with it.
>>50705511
>implying only 5e allows you to reflavor classes
>implying anyone actually cares about what you call your character, they're all gonna call you a barbarian anyway.

>Meta: (of a creative work) referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential. "the enterprise is inherently ‘meta’, since it doesn't review movies, for example, it reviews the reviewers who review movies"
I dunno. It's certainly "something" but I don't know that Meta is accurate to describe it. Meta would more refer to a perk that increases the power of all other perks by 50%. This seems more like putting in options for jumps that you want as abilities rather than something they have as a part of them.

You see, as a pest control specialist, I'm always searching for new ways to keep your home clean and free of vermin. Of course, recently I have realized that by confining my attention to reality, I am leaving entire WORLDS of pests free to hide in pantries and eat garbage unhindered by the brave men and women of Orkin® Pest Control! Knowledge is power Anons, and to catch a pest, you must know the pest. What infests houses in your settings, /tg/ and how should I go about exterminating them?

What is your favorite character you've played?
What character have you come up with that you've been dying to play but haven't yet, and why?
Never made a thread here before so hopefully I didn't screw anything up. I just copied and pasted everything from the last thread. I tried to link to it too but it died before I could, sorry.
so i found this race on unearthed arcana.

First time PbTA gm here. I just had some rules questions, mainly concerning dramatic situations getting resolved too easily by a good roll. for example I had a player (driver) race his rival though a vehicle boneyard but he rolled an 11. I expected maybe some 7 - 9's first but there he is with an 11. it ended a dramatic showdown with one roll and every one was a little underwhelmed. What did I do wrong here? should I have made it like a couple consecutive successes? it just seemed anticlimactic. like yeah I described it well enough (collaboratively with the player) but it's still a game and that just sorta felt too easy. is that how apocalypse world showdowns go?
bump
Each roll accomplishes one "thing."
If there was literally nothing to the race other than a straight quarter-mile shot from A to B, then yeah, it's probably one roll.
Comparison: If I get into a fight because I want something someone's holding, that's a single seize-by-force roll. I roll, I grab it (or fail to), and that's that.
If it was a twisty-turny street race with lots of distinct legs and different things they were doing? Should have been multiple rolls, 10+ or no 10+.
Comparison: I get into a fight because I want to kill one dude, grab a book another dude's got, and there's a third dude who wants to stop me that I have to deal with. That's 3 rolls, no matter how well I roll on each of them.
>>50703573
When a player is good at something, it tends to mean they're very good at it.
You can have a series of rolls for a variety of trails, basically a countdown clock to success. Blades In The Dark (a hack of apocalypse world) does this very well, and it might be worth stealing/looking at. On the other hand, its a race, that's cool they won, now what? What does that do to the other racers, how does that change their standing amongst the other speed freaks? Where are they going to get gas to refuel? Etc. You can always build on a success in ways that don't cancel it, but provide more fuckery in the future.
How can you do a cyberpunk game when hacking is an integral part of the concept and yet characters more-or-less fall into "can hack" and "can't hack?"
>>50703164
Make hacking a background activity. Perhaps no member of the party is a hacker, or if they are, they're just a skilled script kiddie with a few programs they can launch with the press of a button.
The adventure is in getting the pieces together for a successful hack.
>social engineering to get into an organization
>implanting a virus with physical infiltration (this is how stuxnet was introduced to an air gapped facility)
>doing a milk run for the guy with the zero day exploit you need
>using a simple script to crack into an unsecured smart coffee maker to spy on the guardhouse outside the target's compound
The "hacker archetype" is just a holdover from cyberpunk fiction. Either embrace the whole mirror shades and finger gloves aesthetic, or make your game reflect real world computer networking.
>>50703164
it's just levels of computer savvy
like in Shadowrun there are purchasable agent programs that can do a lot of basic hacking with limited skill input from the owner of the program.
money can do where skill is low
>>50703407
That's basically what I did in my game; anyone can get the skills to hack, but without the specialized implant, it's a slow (and fairly realistic) process. With the implant, however, man, the world is your oyster.
