Give them problems they can't just punch their way out of.

When they fight, Have them fight things that hit them in the other saves than toughness, such as Will.

And remember, villains might not be stupid. If they realise that the big guy is basically invulnerable to them, they might just turn their attention to less-invulnerable heroes, or innocent bystanders.

Okay first off: let him tank and punch shit to his heart's content. He took those powers because he wants to use them.

Advice him to take Interpose advantage and some tricks from Power Profiles book on his super strength for more variety.

Then you can drop some guys that use intangibility and afflictions (malicious ghosts and shiet) to challenge him.

Then some godzilla for him to have a good old punchwrassling time again.

So tell me, I've been having a hard time understand what the skill Perform (Oratory) encompasses. Could someone explain to me what this type of skill actually is?
I'm asking becasue I'm making a Spherecaster, and I'm trying to determine if taking Skilled Casting with that type of Perform would be worth it.

There actually are two settings I use. The Forgotten Realms has groups of racial supremacists who are quietly rebuilding abandoned elven settlements with their own people to build up numbers for a strike at the dirty humans, while my own custom setting has no real parallel groups, since the Pantheon personally steps in to kick groups like that around. Think Dogs in the Vineyard, only the avatars of demigods personally accompany some people on missions and pop in on towns for Q&As.

Long story short, the Pantheon tried the whole 'lead from afar' and 'lead in person' things and they were utter failures that resulted in the total and absolute collapse of civilization and the casualties of about 19/20ths of the
sentient people of the world. So, the three out of forty two deities who survived just now hold town hall meetings every so often, so the people can hear their words directly, all the churches and so forth are abolished so nobody has an excuse to fight over the will and interpretations of the deities, and every so often, they'll send Avatars along with adventurers to destroy ancient, divinely-or-Chaotically infused artifacts that are too dangerous to use or to touch.


Back to the topic, there are no religious terrorists any more, though just before the 'present day' of the setting, there was a rough equivalent of the ancient mongols who managed to unearth some Prohibited magical superweapons and used them to create a massive zombie army. She had to jump through every hoop to conceal what she was doing from the Pantheon, since they would have vaporized her entire country to get to her if they knew what she was doing, and she very nearly did do that to the country she was invading. She gambled that the Pantheon wouldn't destroy an innocent nation, so she moved her zombie army into it and started taking over, to use the civilians as living shields. The Pantheon started destroying the country anyway, so her brother stepped up and cut her head off, and the zombies just fell apart.

Magic!Rome would have been so much cooler than Theros. The abilities here feel somewhat disconnected, and none of them feel green at all. I don't like having to use green in my sweet Bird tribal deck. That said, I think this is reasonably balanced.

It doesn't really, but arguing on /tg/ is often redundant due to the fact that there is unlikely to be a resolution, it's just people yelling at each other over the internet. As such people either (1) stop participating in those arguments or (2) deliberately adopt uncompromising positions in order to keep the argument going because they enjoy that sort of thing. This adds to the small minority who actually don't see any flaws in x systems to atrificually inflate the apparent proportion of fa/tg/uys to see a particular system as flawless

Working on some Mark 3 Marines from Prospero as well as some Bloodbowl Orks.
The Marines just need their mold lines cleaned and their bolters drilled then they're ready for priming like the squad behind 'em.
The Orks aren't even glued together and their bases are at a friend's house, but they're at least off the sprue and assembled. Might even play a game with them when I head to my friend's to pick up the bases.

Last game i played was geist. My dm allowed some homebrew, so i picked up hearse, which allows for teleportation. They also have stigmata caul, which can let you detach and reatach limbs. My character detaches their hand at the wrist, slips their bonds, and then tele's out leaving me to die. I'm screwed.

Yes. I have. Use the rules variant that treats XP like spendable points rather than the stupid 'you get progress points up until you have X of them, and then they all suddenly convert to XP because you gained a level. It's just easier to track XP as you go, and the only thing it messes with at all is the fancy achievement rewards. Even then it's just a matter of calculating the thresholds for a flat increasing number than using the goofy holdover level system.

What campaign setting are you looking at? Star*Drive? Dark Matter? Homebrew?
