/tg/, since I am DMing an evil party, I am thinking of starting my campaign in a prison. It's probably going to be a mine, where PCs and other prisoners are going to be going through forced labour.
However, since I am dumb and unimaginative, I am going to ask you a few questions.
1) How will good guys go about restraining spellcasters? The usual method is breaking fingers and tearing out the tongue, but I feel like it's a little bit too extreme. I don't want to cripple spellcasting PCs - it's just that restraining them in some way is a logical thing to do.
2) Since I don't want the campaign to be too boring, it's going to be a free range prison - you are not actually chained and watched by an overseer, so you can slack off from working in theory. However, you are only going to be fed if you produce ore.
Is this system viable or believable?
3) How do you escape from a mine? How do you prevent an escape? Keep in mind that prisoners aren't chained, so there are probably other factors at work.
Maybe the mine is a hole in the ground like in Dark Knight Rises, and the only way to escape is an elevator operated from above? Does that sound good?

There's an additional complication - one of the PCs happens to be a skeleton and a former lich. Any ideas why the good guys would keep him alive?

Astral in mage. I never like the seekings in Ascension and would take the merit to avoid them. And now they are a mayor thing in Awakening but at the same time it feel it only exist for its own sake.

The new focus on the hunt for Werewolf. I find that EVERY werewolf ALWAYS thinks on terms of the hunt to be rather repetitive.

So, is there any particular reason why /qst/ threads are hated on here?

I thought /tg/ was known for stuff like Ruby Quest. Is it like how /v/ hates visual novels because they're more text based or is the problem deeper than that?

The short and simple answer is oversaturation.

Many people on /tg/ felt there were too many quests on /tg/, especially when they began to degrade in average quality or be entirely unrelated to /tg/ beyond being quests. So after many incidents of arguing and calling for quests to be removed from /tg/, /qst/ was made so quests could have their own board for quests.

The intention was that /tg/ would be a discussion of traditional games without threads being bumped out by constantly updating and emerging quest threads, where /qst/ would be where quests happen without the continual bombardment by anti-questers and thread derails attempting to turn it into arguments and shitposting. In short, it was supposed to be a mutually beneficial arrangement.

However some questers, despite having their own board for questing, complain about being restricted from making quest threads on /tg/ for some reason I cannot comprehend, and occasionally a cunt drags his ass over to /qst/ to shitpost even though the separation has been made.

Are they okay to use in general? Should they only be used if you have the card? Are they just illegal in general to use for all formats, including casual games?

How do I deal with Tau skimmers, like Hammerheads and Devilfish? I'm having huge issues with them at the store I go to -- not sure if it's just my bad luck, but it seems like I can never take them out before they can become a serious problem.

Thoughts on Adventurer's Companion? Personally I have mixed feelings. New cultures are cool, and finally we have a real quick reference material, but most of other rules are... meh. Didn't solve my main problem with the system (lack of "advanced" chargen, with picking everything by hand and not through presets. Especially weapon skills), dual wield, while FINALLY arrived, is ridiculously weak, and most of other rules just complicate everything which isn't a good thing in a game in wchich relative simplicity is one of selling points, at least for me. "Leader" calling seems not really needed, leadership should grow organically in the game in my opinion. Especially that it shares shadow weaknes with other calling, making it less unique. Courage, inheritance rules are cool, though. Tidings at home too, but they seem kinda swingy, not entirely in a good way, and might derail the game too easy
