So I played Let It Die the other day, it's basically this post-apocalyptic splatterpunk game where the objective is to climb the tower.
I kind of want to run something similar to it, this weird biomechanical post-apocalyptic dungeon crawl with a distinct goal in mind, reach the end alive.
How could I do this?

I hadn't heard of the vidya "Let it Die" butI watched the trailer. Pick one of the many RPGs above and run it? Maybe use dungeon tiles or a battlemat since it is combat oriented. I make my own tokens/pogs with a 1" die cutter from a hobby store and resize photos to punch out and glue them to fender washers.

So I've heard a lot about how TSR was just badly mismanaged from day 1, and how it wasn't entirely Lorraine William's fault because there were tons of bad investment decisions, too many products for the market, etc.
Who is to blame?

Risk is simply world domination the game, give me a name and color and location of where you want to start on the map. you roll by using your post ID dubs, trips, quads are all rewarded more than singles. Who ever conquers the world by peacemap, the last map, wins. First time hosting so only 6 players.

So I've been working on a Pokemon system for my group since the two options I have found out there are either too slow and clunky or seem too light for my tastes.
I am starting to consider the role of the trainer in the game and I like the flexibility PTU and customization offers, but I wanted to get /tg/'s opinion on Classes vs Skill trees. Which would you prefer in a pokemon game, trainer classes either loose like PTU or rigid like D&D, or Skill trees, where you can grab any ability you like, so long as you have the previous abilities and any other pre-reqs?

In a vacuum, there is no real difference.
But as a rule of thumb: If it's like D&D, it probably isn't good.

People on /tg/ don't reccommend D&D since it doesn't work well for anything other than playing murder-hobos. What system would you reccomend that is roughly as rules heavy/light as 5e but has better mechanics for interaction?

I disagree. A good DM can give incentives to not play as murder hobos, but it's not plausable to add better mechanics for things other than fighting. Ultimately, pretty much anything you want to do outside of combat boils down to a single skill roll. Doing something like breaking into the mayors office to find dirt and sway the election consists of a few rolls to sneak in, maybe a perception roll to find info, and then a roll or three to convice people and/or spread the rumor.
What should take a decent amount of planning and varios sets of skills in a game geared toward that sort of thing requires just three of the most comon skills in D&D: stealth, percpetion, and intimidation or persuasion, wich are both essentially the same.

Hey /tg/, so i have a pretty fucking big problem with a PC. So, we have been running a long term campaign for almost 10 years (3.5 D&D by the way). I let the players pretty much decide what they want to do in game and worldbuild around it. In one of my previous sessions we ended up on the "Iron Cascade" custom plane. Literally a subsection of the plane of earth that was composed of nothing but metals and positive energy. Trees made of mithril and copper, boulders of adamantine, etc. Now, there are a couple of demigods that inhabit this plane, and some epic level creatures in the far reaches, but due to the longevity of our campaign, our party has access to a fuckhuge level of resources. The PC I have an issue with is a dwarven magesmith (basically the artificer from 4e, but more balanced). The party's stronghold has a portal room to dozens of different material realm worlds and outer plane cities. This fucker wants to start a mining operation out here, and while i dont want to see this happen due to game-breakingness of it, the other players are backing him up.

I don't see the problem, this looks like a fantastic idea to me. Absolute mountains of potential for story and plothooks. Such an operation isn't easy, it's going to take them huge amounts of time, planning and effort, and who knows what kinds of challenges they might face overcoming that. Not to mention the attention it'd draw from other entities out there, who might want to stop it, steal a cut, do business, whatever.

So, my 3.5 character got killed and due to """"story"""" reasons I'm playing a homebrewed "lava turtle" race with the following traits:
+2 CON / -2 DEX
Darkvision
Fire immunity
20 ft speed, 30ft swim speed
Can only use specially fitted armor
+6 Natural Armor to AC
+8 racial bonus to swim
- 5 racial penalty to jump and tumble
Bite attack 6d4+4
Can hide inside my shell as a move action, +4 to AC, Damage Reduction 10, enemies with moderately sized weapons can strike an unmissable attack
If hit by a charge, I fall on my back and need to pass a strength check to stand
This particular character also has a decently strong (not sure on damage now) breath weapon, 4 round recharge time
Slashing attacks at my back deal reduced damage (not sure how much)
Bludgeoning at my back deal more damage (also not sure how much) and can also stun me for 1d4 rounds (Fort negates, DC = attack roll)
Is this still too stupid? My DM initially came with something extremely overpowered and I tried making it more reasonable (under his supervision), and this is what we ended up with.
Question is: our party consists of a fighter, a scout, a barbarian and a bard. Taking into account I'd start at level 10 and for """story""" reasons I recently hatched and got aged up (meaning, no training or whatever I guess), what fucking class should I play?

Also, you start at level 10 but have no training, does that mean your levels are racial HD, or that this species' baseline is 10 class levels?
Anyway, depending on how the bard is set up you may want to go for something with at least a little healing, though you probably don't have to.
Some sort of support class could be pretty good as well, though there are quite a few options there.
Your group seems to have all the essentials covered, so it would largely come down to what you feel like playing.
