Buy a full RPG set of 7. Buy them in colors you like, but are easily and quickly readable at a distance. If you are unsure if they're easy to read, they aren't. Classic black/white, black/gold, white/blue and similar color schemes are good choices. The goal is that you like them and the group (and, more importantly, the DM) can easily read your rolls at a glance.

Once you have a set like this and you've been playing for awhile, you can expand into the interesting artisanal dice like your OP pic.

I know a lot of Fire Emblem players browse /pfg/.

How would I go about making Micaiah? I'm thinking it would be either Oracle or Celestial Sorceress, but I'm unsure about where to go from there in terms of specialization/optimization

my main problem with this card isn't its power level (although I do think it is too strong for modern), its that it limits the threats that any white deck can play because it is card advantage, cheats on mana, AND ends the game in very few turns. If this card were in modern, every deck thats partially white starts with the same 7 cards: 4 stoneforge mystics, a batterskull, and a couple swords. I think a similar problem exists with tarmogoyf, but the fact it is only a vanilla creature sort of makes up for its raw power. SFM on the other hand just limits innovation and deck diversity, and the ability to brew and and be creative is one of the strengths of modern.

Setting is aaaaaaaaaaaaall the fuck over the place - Main villain is a vampire lord from millenia long past that the party accidentlally released.

Several party members actually came off world, one of the party members is a god damn egg plant man. Myself, the skeleton champion, came from an elemental who thought a wizard accidentally stumbling into the Elemental Plane of Cold was so lulzy that he brought him back to life as a skeleton to do more stupid shit.

There's a bunch of weird places like an island that's a magical wasteland of a ruined civilization, and also a continent-sized jungle full of things that only know hate and rage, and the further in you go the worse it gets.

Aaaand on top of that, there's a bunch of weeb shit too. One of our party members - who was one of the spess men - is basically a Warframe. Stands are a thing, and the main villain has an A - A - A - A - A - A stand. GM rolled its' power right in front of us too, completely perfect.

What I'm saying is, if there is anything written down anywhere, it can be used.

How do you feel about the Dresden Files Accelerated completely discarding any attempt at character balance?
The original Dresden Files RPG tried to balance different types of characters by having some character types "cost more" than others. This was imperfect, because pure mortals were still weak despite the attempts at giving them extra points and spellcasting was far too strong for its price, but the attempt at character balance was still there.

The Dresden Files Accelerated though...
>The first is abandonment of any intent to achieve balance between mantles. Recall that a mantle expresses the truth of existence of a distinctive type of entity in the universe and their influence on the world. Expression of that concept requires however many stunts and conditions needed for accuracy. However, GMs should beware of creating a mantle whose nature denies other players the meaningful participation by extreme, even overwhelming, strengths.

Are you a pure mortal? Good. You get some neat abilities, nothing major.
Are you the erlking's huntmaster, a knight of a faerie court, Kringle's seneschal, or a true fae? Congratulations! You also get some neat abilities, roughly the same amount as what a pure mortal receives. You also have some weaknesses, but nothing devastating. In exchange, you get to operate on the Otherworldly scale for nearly all actions!

There are five scales: Mundane, Supernatural, Otherworldly, Legendary, Godlike.
>When applying scale to two opposing forces or individuals, compare each side’s level and then apply one of the following benefits to whichever is scaled higher:
>+1 per scale level to their action before the roll
>+2 per scale level to the result after the roll, if the roll succeeds

The character types are supposed to be imbalanced. While the strongest of the character types are obvious, everything in between is harder to judge the rough power and competence of.

Historically, most casualties in battle don't actually happen when both sides are going at it; when a side breaks and flees it's vulnerable, and horses can run down infantry, naturally. A good pursuit can end a war.

Also, being on horseback puts you physically above infantry, making combat less tiring because your swings/stabs/whatever are gravity-assisted and theirs are the opposite.

Ultimately though (connected to the first point) battle in formation is more about psychology than actual bloodshed. The battlefield is terrifying and a soldier has to suppress their natural instinct to run the fuck away in order to fight, but if they do, they're open to attack. Horses pressing in on the sides help that out.

What are good goblin character ideas everybody?

I always found goblin tinkerers to be an interesting idea, but in D&D goblins are supposed to be really dumb. Are they all killy? I've always seen Gobbos being played as being dumb, but are some of kind disposition and taken to wandering and adventuring instead of the same malice as the rest of their race?

How does /tg/ feel about races not going to their alignments in general?

If there was something on the gun that led him to believe it was, then yes. For example if the chainsword and the motor driving it was welded to the frame of a bolt pistol.

The ork can not just hold a length of bar stock and yell bang and expect rounds to come out.

The best way to describe the Waaggh is more like WD40 for reality.

It doesn't make the impossible possible and even orks understand you have to have the basics of a gun to have a gun work.

At most, they might be able to fire a gun when it should be broken and they don't realize it's broken or out of ammo.
