From the previous thread, Anon with his servant, Rider, met a redhead, Kohaku, who he asked out on a date next day after getting her phone number. Now it is the second night of the Holy Grail War. The team headed out to a park where you met a weird man who claims to be the referee of the ritual. Upon leaving, he states that Assassin has been eliminated by Berserker. At this point, you drive off to the business district in search of the other participants.
--
Along the way to where they went to the first night, you ask Hitler-chan what she thought about Not Important's claims.
"Do you think he's a liar?"
"Well..He didn't attack us with that heavy mass of power he had sitting behind him, which would have been very painful. So for now, I would say he's genuine." Clearly, she was not as rattled by that tense encounter as you were. The city's metropolitan lights blur by as the two of you zoom through it rather easily.
On reaching your destination, you exit the motorcycle when suddenly, your hand with the command seals starts to ache slightly. This signals you to pull out Parabellum, as danger can't be far off.
Rider then put away her bike but light still shimmers in the air, indicating it getting replacing with another vehicle she owns. It remains cloaked since given her fame, she would be easily recognizable just by her uniform alone.
"Anon hide!" She commanded. You have a bad feeling about this. You decide to:
>Hide behind a building nearby
>Stay by your servant's side as support
>Call the cute girl's number
>Something elseI'll try to get this thread up to 50 posts this time. It'll never happen since I don't know what I'm doing.

We should ask Hitler-chan to at least ditch the armband at some point. A little bit of subtlety goes a long way.

Can someone give me some background about this?

Our servant is Hitler, and the grail war just started. Other than that, we're pretty much at the very beginning, it's the second thread.
In the last chapter, Zheng Li and the Han forces raid and attack the Yellow Turban camp. After a hard attack, the enemy general Pei Yuan Shao is killed and Liu Bei's army arrives to mop up the retreating rebels. All seems good until an official comes to the camp and arrests Lu Zhi with false charges. Despite Zhang Fei's anger and insistence in freeing Lu Zhi, Zheng Li and Liu Bei agree not to do anything rash.

This quest is an RPG-styled game following the Three Kingdoms period of China and the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guangzhong. You play as a fictional character following through the events of the Three Kingdoms and hopefully rising to become an important player of with the famous figures. You will start off as a no-name, average character who can rise up through effort. Most of the characters and story will follow the events of the novel first, history second, the RoTK games third, and only a very small part will come from the Dynasty Warriors games (Mostly character personalities if suitable).
The goal of the game is to create an interesting story more so than win. While this game will not be harsh, mistakes and carelessness may result in the loss of your faction and even the death of your character. Sometimes circumstances may be unfair as not even Zhuge Liang could not save his kingdom after Shu lost Jing province. Still, thinking and common sense should get you through. Whatever the case, my goal is to hopefully see you create an interesting story more than conquering the entirety of China.

With Lu Zhi gone, the morale of the Han forces drop. Bitter talks and resentment resound throughout the camp and the unjust arrest. Without Lu Zhi around there is no capable general of rank to command the force and you can only wait patiently for the forces of Huangfu Song and Zhu Jun to arrive. It takes a week, but soon enough you see a large force of several ten thousand troops arrive. You witness Huangfu Song and another man arriving first at camp and you go out to meet them.
“Ahh, Sir Zheng Li,” Huangfu Song says as he arrives. “I am glad to see you are still alive. Zhu Jun, this is the volunteer leader I have told you about.”
The man beside Huangfu Song, a large, well-muscled man with a comely beard nods to you.
“A pleasure to meet you. It is good to see honorable men that still fight for our empire. One more push against the rebels and we should have them in the ropes,” Zhu Jun says with a laugh.
“Lu Zhi sent me a month pass informing me of the victory here and your contribution,” Huangfu Song says. “Speaking of which, where is General Lu Zhi? I do not see him, and he was never someone to be lax in protocol and duty.”
You sigh at Huangfu Song's question and you explain to him what had transpired. Huangfu Song's look turns grim.
“...To arrest one of the generals at this juncture. It seems the court has grown too confident after our recent victories. Yet, many rebels still stand and we have not captured the rebel leader Zhang Jue yet.” Huangfu Song shakes his head. “How can we restore peace back to the Han when poison seeps from within?”
Zhu Jun stomps a foot in to the ground.
“Those damned vultures! Lu Zhi was a fine man, worth a thousand of those accursed eunuchs and officials. Once the rebels are finished I will strangle those cockless mongrels!”
“Calm yourself Zhu Jun,” Huangfu Song says. “We are generals of the state and we must follow the laws.”

In front of you is an iron train car, roofed with light wood. Unfortunately, it's not doing what it should be doing - going from A to B. That's why you're here - to find the problem, solve it and hopefully get this car running again. Glancing around, the flat expanse of sun-bleached yellow-white sand which stretches out to the horizon reminds you eloquently that this is going to have to be a solo job. The car looks to have slipped off a rail of the long train-track which flows across this land, diverging and reforming like a great iron river. You'd spotted it from the top of the tall radio tower which forms your base of operation - it was sitting still on the track with not a person in sight. Flicking on the transmitter, you'd requested that it make a radio check-in, but none had come. So you'd walked out here yourself, all alone - a work party of one. But not unaided - at your belt hang a set of tools, some medicine, a flask of water and two specialised weapons: a shortsword and a rifle, fully loaded.
This is probably just a routine job, but it could be a trap, a ploy by bandits to lure you in.
[Reasonable write-ins are always welcome.]
>Get straight to work. That car needs to be put back on rails and moving again ASAP. No time for bullshit.
>A little time spent of caution could easily save your life. There could be anything in or around that car - don't rush in like an idiot.

Best have a look around before brushing your feet on the welcome mat, you figure.
You take a closer look at the car. It bears the name, in orange letters: Gussilli's Workshop, Limonetto. Labelling a carriage with a company name is both wise and risky on the desert railway: it helps to establish legal ownership of cargo, but it also alerts bandits to a car's contents. And you're pretty sure there's some corrupt rail overseers who'd steal enough stuff from ' Gusilli's Workshop ' to fill a whole gallery, if they could. But who's here to attend?
You study the sand carefully for any unusual bumps in the sand which might be hiding a caltrop or a mine, but you don't find anything. This place looks to be safer than a childrens' playground.
That's when you hear a groan from inside the train car. Some bastard's in there! Doesn't sound like he's having fun, though.
>Fire your gun into the air and shout "Show yourself, you yellow-bellied sandmite! Come out here with your hands up!"
>Try to sneak closer quietly.
>"Is someone in there? Are you hurt?"

You are a trader having only recently inherited your fathers farm in the independent town of Kindport.
The only issue is that your farm doesn't exactly have anything growing in it any longer due to long periods of drought and a few harsh winters. Your family has been living off of loans for the longest time now, and you owe a total of 5000 caps to a wealthy NCR Rancher by the name of Richard Clamit.
News of your father's debt is likely to spread soon enough, and you only have 300 Caps to your name. Rather it be to escape this loan or finding a way to pay it back, you've decided you need to run from Kindport and make your way in The Wasteland as a true merchant.
The only issue now is finding a few traveling partners and managing what kind of caravan you'll be riding on.
First let's decide out mode of transportation:

Chapter Directory: http://pastebin.com/sgnYBisDWelcome /qst/-readers to Scrumptious Calem and Kuudere Serena's Tubular Voyage, a ridiculously wacky over-the-top monster-of-the-week reinterpretation of the plot of Pokemon X and Y! This story has just moved from /vp/ after being hosted there since Oct. 2013, if you're new and this is your first time with us, please consider catching up with the dropbox archives in the Chapter Directory for the latest on our lore and inside jokes or sit down and enjoy the ride with little-to-no context whatsoever! Either way, you're in for a show!
Story interactivity is simple: readers will frequently be given ABC-style choices over several intervals in the thread, the choice with the most votes wins and progresses the chapter. Ties are randomized and players are notoriously penalized for simultaneously voting for more than one choice unless otherwise stated. Sometimes, the choice will be styled as a "fill-in-the-blank", and you will be tasked with thinking of the ideal scenario for the story to continue ("What do you do next?"). The response that garners the most reader-support often has the best chance of winning. Now enough explanations, I've stalled this long enough, any longer and Gen VII will have come out, let's get right down to it! Enjoy!Salandit is cool.

At the side of the great grey Windriver Mountains, behind a dark and little-explored forest of pine, stand two marble pillars, their tops obscured by a growth of vegetation. Vines climb over their surface, and at their bases are small pieces of rubble. Between them grows a small tree which blocks your view of the doorway, which opens on to a staircase that descends down into the earth. It is quiet and a chill breeze rushes over you from the mountains.

With that somber business dealt with, let the tale of the tribe of Rog continue.
A summary of past threads:
>The Old Gods are gone, our shamans' magic along with them
>We settled by the coast and developed our copper-age civilization into the bronze age, slaying a Water Dragon, peacefully annexing a goblin mining village and accepting in a warband of demons as settlers
>Racial tensions have not subsided, however. From the east a priest has come, bringing the words of his Pantheon of New Gods, whose power he has displayed before us through magic
>That priest offers knowledge, power and the Gods' blessings to the tribe if they follow the ways of the Gods
>However, that includes forbidding our demons from spreading their demonblood and converting mortals to demonhood
>A war is brewing over the discord among the factions within our tribe
TO ALL FACTIONS
Before the war itself begins, submit a description of your faction and its Assets and declare yourself to be either Pro-Pantheon, Pro-Demon or Neutral.
Use this time for diplomacy - try to get factions to join your bloc and such.
Discuss military strategies at your own peril! I am privately in contact with the leaders of the two blocs and they have told me their plans for the war itself. Were those plans to be leaked to the other side, a counter-strategy could be developed! That is why when the war begins, I won't openly reveal either of the sides' plans when the turn has come in the name of keeping military secrets.
Prepare yourselves for a wild ride! One side will be victorious and another will lose - such is the nature of war. If your faction ends up being destroyed in this war, you can always start a new one after it is over.
Our civilization's stats
Year 73, early Spring
>>Population:6700 humans, 750 goblins, 620 demons
>>Food production:7/10
>>Food stockpiles:7/10
>>Resources:8/10
>>Morale:5/10
>>Buildings: wood and straw houses, stone and brick houses, sheep pens, wells, stone walls, wooden walls, granary, great forge, dirt roads, docks, barracks, arena
>>Economy:advancing fishing,medium agriculture,medium husbandry,improving textiles, improving crafts,bronze, horses, silver, Dragonmarks, trade
>>Culture: festivals, writing on stone, slew a dragon, improving arts, Lawstone
>>Military:Bronze-armed militia, chariots, demon warband(250 expert warriors), 180 hoplites
>>Navy:6 biremes, many smaller boats
Again, I repeat - not a good idea to reveal your side's war strategies right now, but you can use this time for diplomacy, give your demands etc.
Writing the scenes now.

You control the great nation of Valornia, a state in a world filled with nothing but Pokemon. You make the decisions on what will be done either politically, technically, militarily, socially, secretly or financially- as long as there is an open slot for an action, it will be done.
Quick Summary:
- Valornia marches through Arthunbrook to Daberly where the two armies separate to form a large pincer movement to take the north and south of Zureis.
- Due to some sabotage, Valornia had gotten the Zureis alliance to crumble. Most of their allies peacing out on neutral terms, allowing the south shore nations to reinforce when needed.
- Misdreavus have been civilized

Can't have someone fucking it all whenever they want can we?I play a lot of HOI so a map like this helps keep everything in order. Reality is that the armies are just going province to province normally.

The world was once ours and we shared it equally. The forest was our domain and it stretched between all four corners of the world. We lived in peace and upheld the balance. There was death, but no suffering. It was all part of the circle of life. However, all that changed when the creatures with the Red Flower came to this world. Humans, the Guardians called them. They came in the night and burned down our forests, killed our guardians, raped and pillaged our lands. There was no end to their crusade against us and no reason behind their cruelty.
We, the creatures of the forest, were brought close to extinction before our salvation came: The World Tree, the center and the roots of our Forest that once spanned the world, called us all back to it. Within its borders the last Guardian, the Great Horned Owl Kafuu, placed three barrier spells that would keep the Red Flower out and whoever wielded it. Before he fell into a deep slumber from which there would be no awakening, he placed the new role of Guardianship upon the red-eyed Awoo Race. They would guard this new forest realm behind walls of magic until the end of time.
After three centuries of peace, the first of the three barriers were broken and we received a grim reminder that the Humans would not stop until all Creatures of the Forest lay dead.
You are Lin, a 17 year old Awoo girl who dreams of becoming the Strongest Guardian and assuming the mantle of the Hero that will save the Forest Realm and all those who live beneath the World Tree!

“He volunteered to join Team 2 as the replacement of Kun and he has been approved by representatives from both the Realm Guardians and the Tree Guardians to be the one to keep an eye on Raubtier.” Rushi explains himself to Mei’s irritated outburst.
“So I’m the one holding the leash.” Chao’s arrogant voice is followed by a confidant smirk, almost forcing you to punch him hard enough to make him puke his guts out like the Oni did yesterday. However, you won’t. Not in front of these officers. Your relation with them is bad enough as is. You need to prove yourself useful, not a problem.
I already did that by killing the Grim Knight and making the ‘Father’ flee with its tail between its legs. What more do they want from me!?
“Before we start with the mission debriefing, is there anything else? I don’t tolerate interruptions.” Rushi’s gaze wanders across the room, moving from one member of Team 2 to the next. Mei, Jin, Heim, and Chao don’t seem overly inclined to open their mouths and postpone the inevitable any further.

As it nears sunset, you stand next to the old, frail, and almost dead tribe leader. You know that he has come down with some sort of curse from the gods, and as he speaks, he seems to be getting worse as the sun lowers behind you.
"I am afraid that I am passing along to the other plains. The plain where only the astral ones lie. As I have been leader of this great tribe for many passings of the sun and moon, I believe that you all know that it is my responsibility to protect and guide all of you. And now, I must give this responsibility to my own kin."
He jesters to you, an able bodied tribe member, known for assisting when assistance is needed, and for passing judgement when their father is unable. You knew that you would be given the staff which grants control over the tribe. But, as you have just reached maturity in the tribe, you feel as though you shouldn't have been chosen. Surely your older brother or sister should've been chosen instead?
You stare blankly at the crowd of tribe members. 13 females, 17 males, 10 children. Surely one of these other members would be more fit to rule?
Never the less, as the sun fully sets, and as the moon rises in front of you, your father, and tribe leader, signals for the ritual to begin. Slowly, starting with the men, then the women, a pile of wood slowly grows in front of you.
Then, the children walk forward, and gently pour bowls full of animal fats, and herbs that are known to emit a fine smelling odor when burned.
Finally, you slowly walk forward, and strike pieces of flint together, creating a spark. The spark lights the pile of wood on fire, and you have to take a step back, to avoid being burned yourself. After all, this fire isn't for you.
Your father bellows out into the night sky, "Astral gods, those of which reside on a higher plain than our own, I hope you accept this sacrifice, in your names."
You then watch as your father slowly walks into the fire. You stand there, forcing yourself to not cry, and to not pull him out, as he screams loudly as the flames ingulf him. You then tell the tribe to return to their homes. The ritual is complete.
