The year is 1942. You are a US Marine Raider on the island of Guadalcanal.
Your name is Johann Joestar, age 19.
You are part of a ragtag squad of with another Raider, Angus Young . You are tasked with causing disorganization within the Japanese forces after being airdropped behind enemy lines.
Some might call this a suicide mission, but you don't intend to go down without a fight.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2AC41dglnMThis thread will be from Angus' perspective
Johann wakes you up for your watch while you wait for more orders by radio. Two days had passed since Johann killed a Jap with a "Stand" and scared off another, as well as since Bon was killed.
You have the night watch.
After a few hours of silence and no movement aside from small animals, there's a brief flash of white light in the jungle to your left. It might just be a figment of your imagination, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

Check it out
The dull light of the cellphone illuminates the abandoned office, casting shadows out upon the walls that seem to dance with each sway and tap, upon the screen. There is a cool breeze that slinks through the walls and boards that adds a slight chill to the otherwise warm summer night. Outside can be heard the rattle of a chain link fence, the chirp of crickets, and the flickering of fluorescent lights. A moth flits its way through the cracks in the window, bumping around in the darkness before slipping back from whence it came. The little furniture that lines the office is covered in dust save for where it has recently been kicked up, paths etched through the fine debris across the desk top, revealing old coffee stains and light cuts upon the top of the desk, leading to the boots of the focus of this tale.
Sophie taps upon her phone, looking through texts, images, whatever to sate her boredom. Bored, bored, boredboredbored. Ugh… she leans back further in the cracked old leather of the old boss’s chair. This “test of courage” that her friend Katie had put her up to is more boring than anything. “Spend a night in the old abandoned factory.” She said. “It’ll be fun.” She said. It has been two hours sitting here and already she has run out of ideas on what to do, flicking idly through her cellphone for entertainment.
“Whatever, fine, might as well get this started.” She says popping open the video recording application, and looking into the camera.
“Hey everyone, Its Sophie, doing a test of courage at that old chem plant and factory. Two hours in and this has been one of the worst nights. It’s so boring. Anyway, figured I’d give you a little look into how things are going. Maybe I’ll give you all a tour later provided I don’t fall asleep. Well, that’s all for now.” She says, pressing the, end record button. Then she gives a sigh and goes back to attempting to surf the web, signal patchy at best in this old facility.
>>364385
Then, the noise comes in the distance, a strange clang of metal upon metal, the whirling of machinery and the sound of moving conveyers, then a whirl of a mechanical pulley and a sickening wet thud that seems to echo in the old abandoned place. Sophie’s eyes go wide, her heart pounding in her chest as goose flesh creeps up her arms and her hairs stand on end, it is at that moment she realizes, she isn’t alone.
“W-what was that?” she asks herself.
Welcome to The Factory Recordings: Log #1. I’m your host BurningSigil and I am pleased to welcome my co-host Pudd. We will be taking you on a little journey this evening, I do so hope you all enjoy and participate in. There are no votes, only suggestions by the players. Do try to help poor Sophie, she'll need it

>Find Isa
Asking the innkeeper makes the most sense on trying to Isa. He tells you that she was heading towards the west gate last he knew, she seemed a bit in a hurry. Making your way there you stop and ask every so often a stall vendor or someone on the street if they have seen Isa, the ones that did see her confirm that she was definitely heading for the west gate and the guards posted say she heading into the forest. Heading into the forest will be your only option other than waiting if you really want Isa's help finding the greens in the marsh. Her familiarity with the area could prove to be more than valuable... But do you actually need her help? You are The Overlord why rely on others, especially one that not a few months ago tried killing you. She's probably waiting for a chance to kill you anyways.

First time running a Civ Quest, let me know if I do anything wrong.
You are in... a world. What kind of world? That is for you to decide.
Pick a setting:
- No magic, no monsters, nothing weird. Can only play as human.
- No magic. No monsters, but the animals may not be of this earth.
- Magic! Monsters! Can play as humans, or any generic fantasy race!
-Uncontrollable magic! You cannot be anything magical, or cast spells... but many magical things exist! Also, none of the other sapient races can use magic.
-Uncontrollable magic, for you. You cannot be anything magical, or cast spells... but many magical things exist! Also, other sapient races can use magic.
-Write-in. Don't like what I gave you? Fine, do it yourself.
And also, pick a world type:
-Forested. Trees everywhere.
-Rainforested. Wet trees everywhere.
-Marshy. Pretty much a big gross swamp.
-Rocky. A barren land with little of anything.
-Dry desert. IT BURRRRRRNS! Filled with sand, and lots of sun.
-Waterworld. CANNOT BE USED WITH THE FIRST REALISTIC SETTING. No land above water whatsoever. Only aquatic races can survive!
-Archipelago. A lot of islands.
-Snowy. A cold world... yet life finds a way.
-Balanced. A normal earth-like world. A bit of everything!
-Alien. CANNOT BE USED WITH THE FIRST REALISTIC SETTING. Filled with all kinds of odd things.
-Earth. Just good old earth. May be a little different depending on what setting you use.
-Write-in. Don't like what I gave you? Fine, do it yourself.

You are a spider. You live on a web in the ceiling,
You need nourishment to survive, like bugs and water and shit. However, you must journey out into the great unknown beyond your web to find it.
Double check your web for any insect bits. Also make a spider silk backpack so you can carry more.
>>365613
There is nothing to be found on your web. You also do not have enough silk to produce a backpack. however, you can try finding a spider mate to help you.

Sit back, relax, the adventure continues momentarily!
After Velvet explained everything she gathered so far, Jack speaks up.
Jack Chitin
"Well, I'm pretty tired, I should go back to the Mortal Realm and get some sleep, tomorrow we storm the provinces and take them by force."
The trio exits the bathroom and slowly walks towards the dining room. However, once they arrive, both Umbra and Jack start to panic.
Umbra
"Uhh... where's the fleabag?!"
Jack Chitin
"Damn it Xeri, where did you go..."
They both start to frantically search the premises and after a few moments they both bump into each other in a comic fashion.
Umbra
"Jack... what if they found out?! W-What are we gonna do?!"
Jack hugs Umbra and pat's her head to calm her down.
Jack Chitin
"Don't worry, if the situation escalates, we aren't a bunch of pushovers, right?", he gives her a smug and confident look
Umbra raises her head to look at Jack, smiling as well.
Velvet
"Good n-news, they left a n-note.", she said while picking up a piece of paper from the dining table
Velvet starts to read it out loud.
Velvet
"Dear Jack and Umbra, we woke up and you were gone. We don't know if you're still in the realm, but just to make sure you guys catch up, me and Gat felt a bit bloodthirsty, so we went and attacked the provinces ourselves. Love, Xeri xoxo"
Jack Chitin
"Great... just great..." he said while putting his palm on his face and sighing
Jack Chitin
"Alright, for now, let's just pretend that nothing happened. Those two screwballs probably went guns blazing instead of thinking of a strategy. Let's try to find them them first, but if they started the carnage, then we have no choice."
Umbra places her palm on Jack's cheek.
Umbra
"I can't materialize in the Mortal Realm yet, I will lend you support from the Deity Realm. Promise me... promise me that you'll come back to me in one piece...", she said with tears building up in her eyes
Jack Chitin
"I promise." he said while letting out a warm smile
They both embrace and gently kiss each other for a few moments. Velvet notices the display of affection and covers her blushing face with one of her ancient study books. Umbra and Jack separate, parting ways. Jack jumps through a dark portal and lands back in the Mortal Realm, more precisely somewhere in the Casius forest.
Jack Chitin
"Looks like I'm not near the hut. Damn it, where did you guys go..."
Suddenly, Jack hears muffled explosions in the distance.

Hello, you are about to enter a cardpunk world! A world in which most things are decided... with the use of a children's card game! (In this case, Yu-Gi-Oh!)
But before you may enter, you must make a character! Please provide a picture, or a description. Also, please provide at least three personality traits. (Your deck will be based off of your personality. )
Based off of: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/12103981/
You may have seen this posted before.
The last time I did this quest, I had a lot of problems/things I wish I had done differently... (No character creation, no simulator until after the first duel, etc.)
I feel that restarting is the best option.

Okay, so it turns out that posting a quest at 2:00 AM is not the best idea. I feel like my brain is getting rolled up in silly putty and bounced around. In an effort to avoid the poor writing that plagued the last thread I think you guys will need to wait a bit before I can start the story.

Hello, and welcome to Pilot Quest. I don't have any other name for it at the moment and it's the first quest I've run. As such, I'm going to warn you that you it probably won't be the best thread on the board. But if all goes well then I'll continue it and probably ask you to help flesh out the coming story. In any case, let's begin!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You always hated dawn patrol. The guys in aircraft control were almost always tired, either because they had been up for hours or had only just got up. The patrols seemed longer than usual and by the time you had landed, most of the coffee had been taken by other pilots that had just gotten up. In any case, the sunrise was always pretty. The beauty of the break of dawn was only amplified when flying.
Your wingmate, who was fresh from training, was just bad at his job. Everything he did just grated against your nerves. His insistence to stay extremely close to you was just the worst part. In the unlikely event that you had to go defensive then you were sure that he would slam straight into you.
"Hey Zeus, you still awake back there?" You ask your co-pilot over the fighter's internal comms.
"Yeah, I'm here boss." Zeus responded, you could tell that he was nose-deep in one of his Japanese comics from how distracted he sounded.
"Zeus, what did I tell you about bringing your comics on flights?" You asked rhetorically, Zeus's irritated sigh showed that he remembered the last time they had had this conversation.
Coincidentally, you had had that conversation last flight, and the flight before that.
"Don't worry about it Razor, I'm monitering comms traffic and if we need to intercept something then I'll put it away." Zeus replied. A glance over your shoulder, past your seat, showed that Zeus was still reading his comic. The picture of what you assumed was a woman, posing provocatively, was plastered on the front cover of the comic.
"Warrior flight, you have 2 friendly contacts moving to intercept you. Looks like they want to dance" The semi-awake sound of of the air officer back in the tower came across the comms. A quick glance to the radar showed them coming in from your 1. You still had a bit of time before you had to merge, good for Zeus, he would have enough time to put his comic away and get everything up and running.
And time for you to decide how you would fly this.
>[] Fly aggressively, you were flying one of the older birds. While she lacked the upgraded electronics of the newer birds, she was far more powerful and you were more confident flying her.
>[] Fly passively, you might be confident in your confident in your abilities, but your wing mate is too new for this. If you fly more passively then it should be easier for his to stay on you.
>[] Fly aggressively, you were flying one of the older birds. While she lacked the upgraded electronics of the newer birds, she was far more powerful and you were more confident flying her.
Scare Zeus and make him wake da fuck up.

>[] Fly passively, you might be confident in your confident in your abilities, but your wing mate is too new for this. If you fly more passively then it should be easier for his to stay on you.
I don't want this nugget doing something stupid and either damaging our plane, or that of the friendlies.
Better make sure that he knows they're friendlies and doesn't shoot them by accident.
