Doesn't this car suck a pile a dicks to drive?

Did they retain their value? I knows its a dressed up Maserati GranTurismo S, but I hope it doesn't suffer from the same horrific depreciation.

It does.

Ausfag here, just saw one of these irl and I don't know.

Im not feeling it, there is something about it that screams try hard or 'Midlife crisis'

is that normal?

There is something about the styling that looks like an old dude or woman trying to look young but ends up looking tragic more than anything

It's relatively cheap, relatively fast, and relatively featured. I know your tiny aboriginal brain has been damaged from years of huffing siphoned gas, but even you should be able to see the appeal in a cheap and quick car that was also pretty livable and practical.

Austrailia was the last country to sell i6 and V8 rwd cars marketed to regular people.

Sorry Burger, but they are ridiculously expensive in Aus, how do you expect OP to know how cheap they are in the US?

I had no idea that the 4th gen Hyundai Sonata actually had a decent engine under the hood. They're packing a Sirius 4G64. ive heard that they can be very simple to repair and built for decent power.

Who cares? It doesn't have a suspension that's set up for hard driving nor any steering feel. Back during the '90s it was worthwhile drag racing normal cars because you could still be competitive against cars in the same price range, but nowadays there are cheap ways to get way more power than you'll ever get out of these.

I agree though, it's a good engine. But that isn't enough.
>>
>>16022530
My uncle has a kia optima (basically same car)

It's actually pretty fast for it's weight. It did 220km/h pretty easily.

Thank fuck that thing was om warranty because the ecu kept destroying the engine.

Any common known issues with these cars? These I should keep an eye out for?

I'm eyeing one locally for $3500. It's a 1988, non turbo version, manual transmission. Owner claims 60k original miles and routine maintenance with a clean title. Of course, there's no telling until I actually inspect it.

I've only owned one Japanese vehicle from the same era, a 1984 Toyota Landcruiser. It was probably the most solid and reliable vehicle I've ever owned, but it's hardly comparable to a 300ZX.

Also, is that a reasonable price or is he too high? Pic related.

Is it possible for a E36 M3 coupe to out perform a E46 M3?

What a stupid fucking question.

It's possible for a 1991 civic to out perform an E46 M3.

Possible, and pretty easy to do. As a base chassis, the suspension geometry is similar between the two, and the e36 platform is a lot lighter. The S52 can make 280-300whp NA, and you can swap in an S54 if you need more. The e46 has a big advantage if you’re keeping both cars close to stock. Once you heavily modify the cars they’re very similar

Why are American cars suddenly great at handling but slow in straight lines? This is something I'm seeing in a lot of Motortrend tests lately.

Americans finally figured out how to make cars

Downforce and wide tires give great handling but lower top speeds. It's basic physics.

>everythings fine because Toyota
>suddenly steering felt a little loose
>steering symptom worsened a little throughout the day, but then stabilized to a loose diarrhea feeling
I drove it for a while after this then I took it to a shop. He said it was fine because it was still responsive, however the steering is supposed to have a weighted feel to it because sports car so I knew it wasn't "fine".
>drive last night
>steering got loose as fuck
>car is awful to drive
>get home pop the hood
>hissing sound from power steering pump
Help /o/, what can it be? Power steering pump or could it be something else? I'll throw some bread on the hood and take pics if you guys help me out.

Check the power steering fluid.

probly your power steering dumped itself out on the road and the hissing is from the pump trying to pump a whole lot of fucking nothing.

/o/, what's the deal with basic cars making as much horsepower now as 90's supercars? What recent discovery or technology contributed to the big increase in regular motors cranking out big numbers?

I mean, isn't it kind of ridiculous that a Camry is in the same horsepower league as a Countach?

What gives?

Not sure what cars you mean? I don't see anything economical getting remotely close to McClaren F1 numbers
>>
>>16021827
A Hellcat makes more hp than an F1. The Scat Pack makes a little less.
>>
What I'm trying to say is what happened that you can buy a 500 horsepower car (Challenger Scat Pack) for 1/10th what a "supercar" making less horsepower cost back in the day.

I don't know how to put this clearly, I guess.

Its easy to learn. Just put it in D and let the brake out. Never use your left foot fot braking.

You're probably gonna punch the brakes at low speed at one point or more, as you're still thinking "Coming to a stop, lets put in the clutch" or similar
