I love pignose S13s, but god damn the shallow DoF ruins this. Were you going for a shitty tilt shift effect?

9/10 car. bad photography

6/10. look at that window to door ratio! yuck.
Have you ever been to the Nürburgring (Nordschleife)? If so, what car did you use?
>>16345296
yes i used a space shuttle and i have the fastest recorded time
Went around it in a srt10 Ram. Had to change the fucking tires twice. In one lap.
yes, I live there
motorcycles mostly, didn't come to prepare my car yet.
should i learn how to heel-toe downshift if i never drive on the track ?
Heel-toe downshifting has been useful to me exactly 3 times ever.
Of those 3 times, 2 were possible accidents without using it.
In VERY specific situations where you need to consider getting on the power immediately after slowing down a lot, it can be useful. These situations seldom arise, but being good at it to the point where it is your instinctive reaction to these types of situations is helpful.
For the most part, you'll never actually have a use for it though.
I never really understood the point... why not just leave the clutch in until your foot is off the brake?
>>16345268
When you hold the clutch in, you're not in gear, and if you need to accelerate for any reason, you now have to drop the clutch in whatever gear and it's not gonna be smooth, you're probably gonna be in the wrong gear for speedy acceleration, etc.

all the other ones broke. Best by default.
It's a comfy car but literally no one remembers it.
Try something like the 2CV which was really something or the silly honmobile which mobilized literally millions of students and will never be forgotten because of nostalgia.
Right /o/ I'm looking at buying either an Evo 6 or a version 6 limited edition, both have low kms about 100xxx miles and seemed really stock.
I will daily it eventually but when I do it's not a drive through the city it's through a mountain pass with corners everywhere.
Both are pretty much similar price with the Evo being a bit more expensive
Pic not related just my drive Saturday
ok?
The wrx
And the Evo, I just can't decide
Let me tell you a story, /o/
Part 1 of 2
>Wake up naturally from a full night's sleep, it's about 7:30am
>Walk over to office
>Start up meme machine
>Vape and contemplate life while my GNU loads itself
>It loads nearly instantaneously, as it is lean and efficient, such is the nature of Glorious People's License software
>Realize I am ever so slightly peckish
>Throw on hoodie and flip flops
>Go outside
>Before me lies a glorious machine
>Unlock it
>Slide in to the cabin
>Flip the battery disconnect solenoid switch
>Pull choke out
>Give it a few pumps of 100 octane
>Engage starter switch
>The engine roars to life
>blublublublublublublublublublublublublublu
>The cabin heats up in moments thanks to the heat output of the engine
>I blip the throttle, disengaging the high idle cam and bring down the idle speed to a comfortable 650 rpm
>gluglugluglugluglugluglugluglugluglugluglug
>I observe the world around me, relaxing on my comfortable, couch like, bench seat
>The engine reaches 160 degrees and I hear a pleasant, electronic, *bing doo* sound to draw my attention
>I open the choke up
>Disengage the parking brake and coast down to the base of my driveway
>I slide into 1st gear and idle lazily down my drive
>I pull out onto the main street by my house, gradually accelerating up to 2600 rpm in every gear
>Navigate the streets to a burrito shop a few miles from my sector of the city
>Purchase said burrito
>Drive back towards home
>Notice the frantic morning traffic around me
>I cruise on, at or a mile or two per hour above the speed limit
>People drive erratically, panicked, to get around me
>They don't care about their safety or anyone else's
>I decide to have some fun with them...
>At the next light, as usual they take off in a panicked manner, bumbling down the road erratically
>At the same time staring at their phones or otherwise not paying attention
>I'll give them some... auditory entertainment
>>16344193
Part 2 of 2
>I pull the plunger switch on my shift lever
>The exhaust bypass snaps open
>The supercharger bypass snaps closed
>I thrust my foot into the throttle
>The three hundred and fifty cubic inch monster under my hood screams to life
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>I blast through the crowd of cars, destroying the drivers eardrums
>The are stunned, and waver all around the road
>I've had my fun now, and push the plunger back in
>Continue my cruise home
>Arrive at home
>Eat burrito
>Vape and decide to shitpost this after a while
> I chuckle to myself...
>...normies
>>16344193
>>16344196
wow all i need to do is:
>make sure my key is in my pocket
>disconnect my trickle charger
>open car door
>turn ignition
>car starts/drive away
that being said you clearly do not know what it means to suffer, people like you will not get far without some suffering to wake you up from the twisted matrix like rubric you have fallen a sheep to
A query for /o/: I'm very set on buying an MR2 soon, and I like both the AW11 and SW20 just about equally aesthetically. I've never driven either one though (I have driven a 3rd gen). Can anyone here who have owned both or either lend some insight? I want to know what the ownership experience is like for each car, and what are the characteristics that differentiate them. i.e. which is the better daily driver, which would make the better track toy, which one is easier on maintenance, which takes better to mods.
Also, anything I should look out for when scoping these cars out would be nice to know. Any information you guys can offer is appreciated.
Also, I should specify that I'm most likely looking at the N/A versions of these cars, as they will be in my price range. Trying to spend less than $5k initially on the car.
>>16344109
I have owned both.
US versions if that makes a difference to you
>Aw11
Easier to work on.
Dont expect any speed or power gains without spending huge money
Not great on the freeway
Fun around town
>Sw20
Little more difficult to work on, but not that horrible if youre patient.
If its the 5sfe, you wont find power.
Much more comfy on the freeway (i use to run mine up to 120mph on california highways)
Quieter
More modern feeling
More space
Fun everywhere
The NA seats arent great. Turbo seats are amazing.
What else do you want to know? Ive also owned a turbo mk2.
>>16344146
Thanks, yeah I'm located in Cali.
Is snap oversteer as big of a problem as people make it out to be? and are there easy ways to solve it?
Is it normal to have difficulty blipping when shifting from third into second? I drive a 100hp shitbox so the first two gears are fairly short but fuck, even going like 20mph, I have to get the revs up to 4k-5k just to get down into second
>>16344029
You blew a headgasket
>>16344029
Your head gasket is shot senpai
>>16344049
>>16344160
incorrect hivemind.
1st and 2nd usually have large "gaps" between gears so you'll generally have to rev it up more compared from going 4th to 3rd. However if your revs aren't quite what the revs are in gear, then you might want to look at changing transmission fluid and hoping that was the issue. Is it "winter" where you are? I find manual vehicles are finicky to drive in the cold until they're upto temp.
whats the torque spec on that rear wheel bolt/stud doohickey? that looks like a 36mm+ and the handle on that wrench is SHORT AS FUCK.
>pic unrelated
Hey /o/, poor third world country anon here, Im thinking of buying a commuter/econobox, but I want something that actually looks nice and feels nice to drive, the only brands available in this shithole are:
Toyota
Honda
Kia
Hyundai
Renault
Subaru
Nissan
Suzuki
Chevrolet
Mazda
Mitsubishi
I've been thinking about getting a lancer and get the evo kits (like pic related) so it looks less of a shitbox.
What would you recommend?
another pic of said car
>>16343876
>being a poser
shut up and get a civic for 3k.
>>16343907
>civic for 3k
Civics cost 10k+ usd in this shithole
Also whats wrong with wanting something more than a soulless commuter, being poor doesn't have to suck

Don't mind me, just posting 86s.
Feel free the contribute or talk about 86 related stuff.
No bully please.
What's the furthest you'd travel to look at a promising car offer? I'm looking at ads right now and for reasons unknown most of them are at least a 4h drive each way.
Two hours if it's some unicorn. 45 mins for a common car.
Depends more on what condition it's in for the price though. If it's a 96 Town Car without a single blemish or problem for $3k I'll drive three hours both ways.
>>16343772
If it's a special snowflake I know I'll never find, any distance. I've heard of independent inspectors that will look at a car for you if you don't know anyone in the area. And if the drive is over 6 hours or so you could get a cheap one-way plane ticket and just get familiar with the car on the drive home.
>>16343799
But I'm not even 100% sure that I'd buy it.
