Any car will last as long as you're willing to put money into it. As long as they haven't been crashed or flooded they're infinitely rebuildable.
I'd buy a car with 200k that had maintenance records over a car that had 150k or less with no records.

hey /o/, looking to buy a new car. here are the choices:
>230i 6 spd /w bmw performance lsd $35k
>BR-Z limited /w performance pack $30k
i will modify them so total money spent will be around $40k ($5k mod budget for 230i and $10k mod budget for brz). In California you don't have to smog new cars for 4 years which is why I'm looking at new cars. I'm not too worried about warranty as these engines have been modified reliably for awhile now.

>br-z f/i kit I would get would be the jackson racing one

So I uploaded a tune (87 Performance from Bama) onto my 2014 Mustang. It was like night and day the first few days after doing so, it would rev up quick as shit. I tried flooring it today... and while it was faster than stock, I didn't have that ridiculous pull that it did when I first uploaded it.
Is this normal for cars that get flash tuned? Does the car just sort of re-adjust to more stock setting after you drive it with the tune for a while?
Should I keep returning the car to stock tune then re-uploading the aftermarket tune to maintain that amazing performance (this would be pretty annoying)?

Factory tune has lots of limitations. It's very conservative to allow better gas mileage, better emissions and some slack to allow shitty gas. Bama tunes aren't even that great. Get one from Moe's speed shop or a dyno tune for even better.

So. Funny story. My bitch sister broke my buddys 98' maxima turn signal switch and it somehow falls onto my responsibility to fix this guys switch or else she would never get it done.Problem is I'm super car illiterate. I found some used OEM switch on ebay for 30 bucks but I have no fucking clue what to do after I obtain it. God bless anyone who can help walk me through replacing the turn signal switch.
