How much HP/Torque can the ABOVE average performance tire handle in both RWD and AWD before constant wheelspin/traction loss becomes a major problem while accelerating?
TLDR: How much power is too much for performance tires in order to be the fastest in a corner with minimal downforce on a street car?
>>16343643
Depends on a ton of things
Weight distribution
Overall Weight
Drivetrain
Limited slip or open differential
Temperature
Road Surface
So basically hard to say.
this is the sort of question only a bus rider would ask
>>16343645
Let's assume the car is
>front engine
>51/49 distribution
>3200-3500 lbs
>optimal LSD
That's pretty average for a high performance car application before you add another 500 lbs for AWD.
Okay lets see what you faggots really know about cars
I have a 1984 Nissan MK Patrol and it was having trouble getting into gears, clutch pedal bottomed out and I had to double clutch and all sorts to get it into gear.
The slave and master were both worn so I have replaced both of them with brand new cylinders and flushed it a number of times to remove all air.
The car after starting now wont go into any gears at all. Nowhere near. The pedal also now feels extremely soft.
What is happening?
>>16343408
Check vacuum lines on clutch master
>>16343408
More pics of your MK faggot. Also, does it make a bit of noise when you depress and hold the clutch pedal?
>>16343408
You haven't bled it through enough yet
What makes that clicking sound in the dashboard when you activate the turn signal?
clicker
>>16343372
this but most german cars have a little metal stick that slaps the engine block

What does /o/ think of the 350Z? Thinking about upgrading from my Miata to one of these, particularly the 2007 year model with the VQ35HR
>306 HP @ 6800 RPM
>268 ft lbs @ 4800 RPM
>7500 RPM redline
>VLSD
>6 speed manual
>3339 lb curb weight
>optional brembos
>multilink suspension
What should I know about these? They seem like a solid car. My friend had a G35 sedan and it seemed pretty punchy, the Z seems like it would be even better.
Eats oil like a starving fat bitch
>>16343207
That was only on the 2005-2006 with the VQ35DE. It's my understanding that they fixed that in the VQ35HR.

What do you think about the new Lamborghini Aventador's Facelift for the year 2017?
It's also named as the Aventador S.
"The Lamborghini Aventador S is redeveloped around a 'total control concept' to provide a superior drive, ride and performance; every aspect of the car's suspension and electronic control systems has been advanced, with the goal of particularly enhanced control and driving emotion."
-- Lamborghini Press Release
"Basically they just gave it a minor facelift and a few performance upgrades following a minor upgrade in the suspension."

hey guys,
Quick question for anyone living in california who has aftermarket shit on their car and successfully pass smog checks without knowing "a guy."
I have a Z32 that I've had for a while and am planning on doing a turbo/E85 conversion for fun as a project seeing as I've done more or less everything else I can to it. If the smog station I usually go to doesn't check under the hood, could I get away with having an e85 tune with the turbo with my end build horsepower and no fucks given about emissions alongside a detuned 91 octane tune that passes emissions and still has the turbo on?
I don't really know much about turbos seeing as I've never worked on a car with on, so what I really want to know is, is there a way to have a tune that just doesn't use boost from the turbo? Would the blow off sound give it away?
Sorry if this is a stupid question. From what I understand at the end of the day I could also just have the two tunes I mentioned above and just pull out the turbo and have another set of tubing that returns it to stock when I go to smog it.
Does anyone else here do something similar where they have a 'built' engine they drive around on and then detune it for smogging once a year?
Just bribe the inspectors, you imbecile.
>>16342872
too much of a pussy for that desu
>>16342851
Do you actually live in cali? Because we actually smog every other year. I know plenty of mechanics that do this.
If you are in la or some shit be careful as they have sniffers on the highway.
Why do lesbians like these cars so much?
>>16342760
because they remind them of a bar of soap, and lesbians love to be clean
>>16342760
because you just made that up right now
>>16342760
Hey dude, fuck off that's my dream car right there.
Why is /o/ so hostile and full of shitposting? Aren't niche boards supposed to be better communities? Why can I get better discussion on /a/ and /v/ then I can here?

>>16342673
Unfortunately the current popular automotive culture is litterally shitposting.
The title says it all. Can anyone provide me tips? Im going to visit Japan in a few months and im trying to save up the money to import one. Will it be cheaper if I buy one there and import it back to Cali or am I just an /o/tard?
>>16342649
why not just buy one in the US and ship a jdm motor instead.
>>16342649
It won't. They're meme taxed here too. You're better off buying one in California and building it the way you want it.
Cheaper than me purchasing the car overseas while I'm in Cali. Also, what is the avg price of an 86 in Japan?
There are idiots on this board who think the new Supra is going to be 50k and would be upset if it isnt.
>>16342601
Butthurt japcrap shitters are fun
>>16342601
The Mk.4 Supra Turbo was $40k when it came out, so I can see the new Supra going for $60k easily
>BMW twin turbo 6 cylinder
>Toyota build quality
it's gonna be like 70k
but that's just the going rate for a quality sports car nowadays
What is this part called? Need to replace it because its all cracked. Its for an acura integra
That's your drive train.
looks like a power steering line
I hate doing power steer hoses at work
It could also be AC lines
Delivery thread.
Today, I got an order for 3 Gluten Free pizzas. Alright, sorta hippie order, but hey, I'm not the one paying $48 for 3 10 inch pies.
I get to the address to find pic related.
I think that I've encountered peak Hippie. on the other hand, they tipped $10, so I'm not going to complain.
Anyone else find a great delivery job in a kickass location?
I have a second job delivering in some of Chicago's wealthiest suburbs. Working 25 hours a week nets me about $500-600.
>>16342566
I work ~35-40 hrs/week in a upper class suburb/lower-middle class rural mix delivery area of a smaller city, and make $350-$500/week just in tips, depending on how good of a week it is. I have a consistent schedule, which is great for making future plans. I can easily pay my bills and put some money away, and rent is super cheap, so I'm doing pretty well

Did they call back and complain about them being burnt? EVERY FUCKING TIME THEY ORDER THE SAME NASTY BULLSHIT THAT YOU KEEP TELLING THEM IS JUST LIKE THAT NO MATTER WHAT.
Because I get that a lot.
Hey /o/ I am looking at buying a new car live in Canada and budget is around 40k
