The last episode was halfway decent, save for the fact that they rehashed the script from the third episode. I still think the show has legs, but I'm waiting for the second season so some of the shitty bits can get ironed out. I will say that I think the Grand Tour name was a bit of a mistake because they're going to feel forced to do elaborate shit to justify the name and the fun lower key stuff will get pushed off to the side.
Some ideas I feel are universally shared:
>drop celebrity brain crash
>drop the irritating american driver
>drop the "characters" that are more annoying than the self parody of the later seasons of TG
>Hammond shaves that godawful goatee
>Europe entertainment
The American is fine, they just need to slooooooooow their constant shitty jokes on it.
>>16341970
He's a shitty joke down to the basic concept. I hope they can to go back to having a silent driver in season two if the BBC aren't cunts about it.
What's with this guy? It's like he's trying to be funny but it's just "le xD so randum xdddddd" which isn't funny at all. And his more serious moments give no real insight to the car because he can't stop using metaphors that don't actually make sense.
Despite this, normies cream their pants for these reviews. What gives?
His delivery is similar to most "normies'" internal dialogue.
He's said some pretty depressing shit lately. I feel bad for the guy.
Hey look guys a faggot trolling /o/, LOOKY HERE
welcome to the kind of humor normies enjoy
why do you think garbage like Pewdiepie Deadpool and meme sites got popular
Volvo 240s used to be cheap

They were hella cheap for a bit too, like you said.

What do you think are awful styling trends throughout the years in the automotive industry?
Cars designed in the 201Xs seem to have been dreamed by people who have ADHD and are also using meth. The designs are just so fucking busy and inconsistent. There are all of these incongruous styling elements everywhere with angry lines and creases on everything from Grandma's Lexus to Jimbo's Camaro. They've forgotten the beauty of simple design, which is fucking dumb as hell because we live in the iAge where every gadget is smooth, featureless and completely lacking buttons.
Car design is always set about 8 years back from standard design, like in electronics and such.
If you notice, modern car design is the same stuff as bevel-emboss GUIs in the early 2000s.
I don't get what's wrong with the NSX? All the lines serve a purpose for Aerodynamics and it's a sharp looking car.

All right /o/ I need some assistance. I've got a 2002 Hyundai Elantra and I want to figure out a way to install a 3.5mm aux input into my stock stereo head (pic related).
FM transmitter's out of the question b/c shitty audio quality. Is my only option to get a new head unit? I like the simplicity of the factory stereo. Is there a relatively pain-free way to splice in a 3.5mm input?
meme bump
I'm sure there's a left and right set of cables behind there. Just get an amp with aux input and coaxial( I think its called) outputs.

Look on the back, some have RCA connectors. If not, just get an aftermarket radio, though most look like riced shit I agree.
The ones with custom LED colours are ok because you can just set it to your cars interior light colour so its less of an eyesore.
I need a new daily and have 5k to spend.
What do I buy?

You try getting a girlfriend with your dirty hands, grease under fingernails, rough hands.....
There's a reason why the joke "How can you tell if a mechanic has a girlfriend? He's got 2 clean fingers" is the truth

I sometimes forget there was an age when looking at softcore porn was "perverted"
What's the worst mistake you've ever made while driving?
About a year ago, I (an American driving in America) had a Britbong moment when leaving a shopping center onto a divided four-lane road. I took a right turn into a lane on the far side of the median. Luckily, I realized very quickly what I had done, and there was no immediate traffic, so I turned off ASAP, but I was very embarrassed and worried that someone might call the cops, as well as disappointed in myself for making such a boneheaded mistake.
To a degree, I blame all the video games I've played in which you drive on the left.
heh
>>16340436
My driving instructor was busy with his fucking tablet and when he looked up he corrected my turn and almost drove us into the opposite lane once. I literally did nothing wrong myself. Was pretty fun, but I imagine it's scary as fuck when you're alone.
As for actual things I did wrong, I once decided to cross one lane and wait in the middle bit when a huge van wanted to leave the road and I completely blocked him. Made eye contact too. Felt like driving into the nearest body of water after that.
>>16340436
I have no idea what that sentence means, or how it relates to the British.
It's a four-lane road? So two for outgoing traffic and two for oncoming traffic? You turned onto it from a shopping centre, if you're american you're joining from the right. So if we assume you're in the right hand lane on the right hand side of the road, how did you take a right turn? Also what's a median in road terms for those of us that live in civilised countries.
Anyway worst mistake i ever made was entering the fast lane on a motorway whilst not going 20mph over the speed limit.
So I searched the catalog for a VIN check thread and I didn't see one, let's see if we can start one. I need a VIN checked for a 1977 Datsun 280z with 46,000 miles on it, I just want to see if those are really original miles or if it rolled over. Can anybody help some fagg/o/ts out?
pls forgive me /o/ I haven't been on this board for years
vin's before 1980 were a cluster fuck of "I'm doing whatever the fuck I want!" because they weren't standardized yet.
you MAY get lucky, but its a Datsun specific vin and they may not have records of cars <1980
pic unrelated

Might be a newfag but that's excellent taste in Hondas m80
>>16340064
It's really clean as fuck, it doesn't even look like it's been driven more than 80,000 miles. Engine room nd great and everything. The seller is an older lady who said her husband died and it sat under a carport after that. and she was very straightforward and honest so I believe her, I just want to ease my concerns

it happens to every1 once in a blue moon. It's ok man. Just make sure it does not happen on a regular basis.
>>16339319
You probably just took 100 miles off the life of your transmission. so you can expect it to die at around 499900 miles instead of 500000
>>16339319
Never even heard of this happening. Which car is this anon?
Have you ever used nitrous/NOS irl? If so how did it affect the performance of your vehicle?
>>16339259
it should directly jump the performance of your engine
NOS has more oxygen in it so theres more to react thus it produces more combustion
>>16339259
it blew out my passenger floorboard

Shit really? What happened?
Anyone interested?
Input & suggestions are very welcome
