Anyone here live in your car?
>What vehicle?
>How long?
>How much have you saved up?
Wanting to get either a 4runner, jeep cherokee, or isuzu trooper and just lift and go to school.
Anyone else do this?
>>16673417
I want to go to school, then fish on the weekends and use the fish for protein while working out constantly.
Sounds pretty comfy, live by the coast and a few mountains, would be pretty easy.
>>16673432
I'm kind of worried about refrigeration though and general meals. I don't want to be eating out of cans, but I also don't want to have to go out to eat.
It just defeats the purpose. Want to get really healthy, physically and mentally through studying in seclusion.
How cheap is it to just get a giant cooler with ice?
Or would it be cheaper in the ling run to get a small solar panel with a compact fridge?
No one here is interested in living the free life?
I'm an xj guy first off. I just picked up this 94 4runner for 600$ and all it needed was a new battery. I'm thinking about flipping it because quite frankly I can't see how this thing has an advantage over my three Cherokees. OEM parts are way more expensive and off road upgrades are also high. The front suspension seems so much more complicated than a solid axel too. And wow I've never seen one without rust. I can understand Toyota making sense across the ocean but in the USA? Can anyone shed some light on why this is a better platform over the XJ?
Pls
>>16661640
Lol jeep.
Youre obviously trolling.
The toyota destroys cherokees and you wont convince anyone otherwise.
>>16661640
The drive line rarely has a component failure, its light and has good cargo room.>>16663430
>>16663430
That's why there is a "Toyota" spec in BOTD huh?
What kind of car is this? Thanks.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (10)

A car for gigantic faggots who think they're hot shit.

How can you tell? The nose looks identical to me.
>bought car new
>still under warranty, the trans grinds when going from 1st to 2nd (directly) when it's cold outside
>doesn't grind if after 1st I let it go to N and then 2nd
>doesn't grind in any other situation
>take it to the dealer
>get a call
can't replicate the symptoms
>take the car home, check the dashcam
idiot tech redlined it less than a minuted after start (turbo engine)
>go back to the dealer
>show them the symptoms
>the tech immediately say it's most likely an engine mount or some shifter bushings
this matches what people on the forums say
>leave
>get a call later
all the cars on the lot have the same symptoms (same make and model), we can't find the cause
but if you continue to drive it, damage will occur
>go back to the dealer, make them to give me all this in writing
>including that I have to let it idle for 3-4 minutes before driving
>go home
>check dashcam
>they didn't do anything to it
NOTHING
>go back and tell the manager about the dashcam
yeah ... about that redline, give me the video and I'll teach the techs how to drive
if you don't like what we did, go somewhere else
>this is the 3rd dealership that tells me something along the lines of
"yes, it's grinding, so what? we won't do anything, go somewhere else if you don't like it!"
Subaru?

I actually sold one of those last week for an E92 335i. No regrets; the 370z is a good track car, not so much DD.

I'd like to address this to the C/o/ucil.
I've been working a new job, pay is good enough to where I can afford a newer car.
My main debate is between a 2013 Range Rover Evoque and a 2013 Audi Allroad (I'd murder out the Evoque or either Bag the Audi). Both cost around the same and have similar milages (~70k)
I used to drive an Evoque at my old job, and I scheduled a test drive for an Allroad. My main thing is reasonable reliability, I know Land Rover and Audi are known for being trash. But you're not gonna find "higher class" cars for the price. I live in SoCal, so no issues with weather. My main inquiry is what would you guys suggest best for Value, Style, and overall enjoyment. I'm 20 years old and work in a somewhat professional environment, and I'd like to stunt on these hoes occasionally. If you own/have owned one of these do you have anything to say about it?
Thank you for any help.
>20 years old
>socal
>murder out
>bag
Murder out yourself, will ya.
>>16700415
My man, that's just my preference. I've had dailies ranging from classics to econoboxes.

something isn't adding up, either way fuck off just flip a coin then take that car and drive off a cliff
Engine swapping a seventh generation automatic Honda Civic DX sedan
I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm not a dumb teenager who wants mommy's sedan to go fast.
Hey /o/ I am the owner of this Civic, its single jingle four popper is sadly on its way out. It's having a new issue I need to fix every other week and the constant repairs and stress are just not worth it to me on an engine thats losing power
What would be a relatively easy/cheap engine to swap into this model that still maintains some reliability and fuel economy? Also another thing I'd like to have is a bit more power, nothing for a race track or anything but just to make cruising easier as this car really struggles on the highway at this point.
>just get a new car
I mean I have another car, but this Civic specifically has a lot of sentimental value and I'd like to keep it around. I make a decent living so I should be able to save up and do whatever you guys suggest ( within reason)
Thank you!
rebuild the original engine
>7th gen
wow the 1 gen no one likes
here you go tho
op is just a dumb kid pls ignore
To keep it understandable for everyone else Ill also write something in English.
This is a thread for Dutch people and maybe a meet can come from it.
Wat rijd je?
Welke provincie woon je?
Heb je zin een keer een (nacht) rit te doen of een meet ofzo?
Ik rijd een Volvo 940 LPT uit '97 en ik woon in Noord Holland.

I know nothing about cars. I'm a girl trying to buy my first (used) car. Which is better? 2010 Ford Escape or 2010 Lexus RX350?
pic is the lexus
Milage would help.
ford has 92k
lexus has 90k
>>16699679
I'd go with the Lexus
Why doesn't Honda turn this into a convertible like the Miata?
It's probably to most useless car they have right now as I don't see any reason for anyone to buy one.
>>16699610
Production has already ended, mate.
because making it a convertible would make it even more useless
>we made a good car

Us safety standards or Euro safety standards?
>>16699118
US, because of "I'm gonna sue the fuck out of you" and what not. Isn't the hilariously abnormal bumper only required in some states though?
Actually nowadays US and European safety laws are both equally ridiculous with the rearview cameras and the ridiculously thick pillar which erase any chance you seeing cyclists or streetlights. At least you have 12 airbags deploying and a cage that is able to withstand 3 planets crushing down it on when you drive of that canyon. Oh wait, your country is literally just flat? Well fuck you, have this extra weight.
Look at the mirrors we get in Europe
US safety standards fucks Euro cars and vice versa.
