Engine swapping a seventh generation automatic Honda Civic DX sedan
I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm not a dumb teenager who wants mommy's sedan to go fast.
Hey /o/ I am the owner of this Civic, its single jingle four popper is sadly on its way out. It's having a new issue I need to fix every other week and the constant repairs and stress are just not worth it to me on an engine thats losing power
What would be a relatively easy/cheap engine to swap into this model that still maintains some reliability and fuel economy? Also another thing I'd like to have is a bit more power, nothing for a race track or anything but just to make cruising easier as this car really struggles on the highway at this point.
>just get a new car
I mean I have another car, but this Civic specifically has a lot of sentimental value and I'd like to keep it around. I make a decent living so I should be able to save up and do whatever you guys suggest ( within reason)
Thank you!
rebuild the original engine

This is the cheapest and most fun option, it'll double that sentimental value on your civic because "you brought it back to life and kept it going"

>implying dumbass OP knows how to do that

this poster's attitude
>I never try new things
>learning new things is bad
I see why you like being on a circlejerk imageboard.
