>the dos equis reference
>>16691982
If Dos Equis wasn't such shit beer I'd want to see them sue these faggots. How is this even considered fair use when it's a blatant trademark infringement?
I don't know which I hate more: the concept of North American """""""""LUXURY""""""" or shitty spic beer.

I shouldn't have watched this.....now my head hurts and I can't stop cringing
I was making my way down town, when i saw this, can anyone tell me what it is?

I just got a job offer to work for the DoD in Japan. (civilian, not a milfag). I'm not shipping my college beater over there, so I plan on buying a car when i get there. I'll be making roughly 90k$ a year.
what kind of car should i get?
no meme shit like skylines or w/e. i just want a fun jap special snowflake shitbox that will last me the 3+ years and i can bring back with me (meaning it has to be 1995 or older).
pic related, i was thinking about an adventure van.
bamp
fucking do it
hiaces are sweet
or get like a suzuki cappucino and do an engine swap when you get back to the states
Toyota Century basically unless you want to hunt down some rare tuner edition sports car.
what characteristics make a reliable car in general?
diesel vs gas
auto vs manual
more volume in the cylinders?
the year before certain regulations?
teach me all you know friends, even obvious things!
conservative tuning
good built/parts quality
>>16690877
What company made it and where it was made.
Any Toyota/Lexus/Honda/Acura that's made in Nippon. That's pretty much it.

How often do you have the "brakes don't work well" dream?
>>16690295
Way too fucking often. I never seem to crash. Always just makes me panic and it barely stops at the last second, or the object I was going to hit moves (I.g. Car infront of me goes from a dead stop to moving) so I barely avoid a collison. It's always super important for me to be driving too, as in I cant just pull over and stop driving because its too urgent to stop.
my brakes literally dont work
fun to drive
When I drive while I'm dreaming, I always drive like I've never been in the driver's seat before (except I can shift without screwing something up).
>driving onto curved overpass, fail to steer hard enough and go through the concrete barrier over the edge
>attempt to drive a miata (which I never had) out of a the parking lot of a hunting lodge themed restaurant (which I've never been to), dive through a nearby fair and eventually skid onto the road, because I'm really lying on my back so my brain puts that into the dream by having me lie in a fully reclined seat that the car doesn't have
>attempt to drive some kinda golf cart or rear engined van in the middle of Armageddon, get stuck in a ditch trying to get onto a road
>generally swerve violently and crash into stuff all the time.
I don't know why it's always like this, I don't hate driving or something, and I'm always good at flying airplanes while dreaming despite never having done so.
Which year/decade would you say planned obsolescence became common among car makers?
Not sure, fortunately there's a big difference between a 5 year old car, and a five your old phone, the five year old car is still pretty new if you consider how long cars last vs how long phones/laptops last
the wrc yaris looks cool af, i would buy one if they came with awd from the factory
>>16690289
Toyota is planning to do a wrc inspired yaris production car. The rumor says it will be about 200hp.

What do you think about the new spyshots of the next upcoming Porsche 911?
From the pics, it's evident that Porsche is giving the next 911 a more wider stance, a new exhaust system and possibly an all new taillight.
Some technical speculations include an 8 speed PDK transmission over the current 7 speed PDK.

What is your dream car?
Are you at least on half the way to owning it?
Mine, now is a RWD Huracan or whatever new entry-level Lamborghini that comes out.
But I'm right now a poor college student that drives a 1995 Camry.

Big old American luxobarge. One of the ones with the huge bumpers and tall fins and chrome all over the place.
I'd restore the bodywork to it's original shiny and chrome glory, then add a proper roll cage and front bucket seats for safety.
Then I'd set to work on the chassis and drivetrain.
Modern efficient V8 in it for more power for the bulk, AWD, 4-wheel steering, upgrade brakes and suspension to modern standards. Maybe make it a hybrid for more torque to get all that weight off the line faster.
Interior-wise, I'd have a modern stereo and speakers fitted. Proper surround sound, but still leave the original stereo and speakers in for that 1960s 8-track tinny quality.
At the end, it'd handle like a modern european car, and move like one too. It'd make turns on british roads, and would be able to make it into spaces big enough for it.
Then I'd turn a semi trailer into a rolling toybox and house, and maybe add an accordion connector into the truck's cab like they have between train carriages.
I'd love to take my old grand wagoneer and turn into a srt8 wagoneer. All the modern amenities of say what a srt grand Cherokee has but that handsome old woody look. Not really much off roading but a badass gt luxury suv with light off-roading abilities. I LOVE how that damn car looks
