should i not even bother if a car has a "rebuilt" title? Is it surely going to have frame damage or anything beyond repair? I just really want to daily drive one of these

Rebuilt title can literally mean than the mirror fell off.

>wanting to dd an awd econobox in commiefornia where the weather is usually good
stop being a weeb and get a civic.
>>16692237
No, it can't. A rebuilt title means the vehicle had a salvage title previously, which means it was declared a total loss at some point (damage to the vehicle exceeded the value of the vehicle).
I know there is the 5k buy chart for poors, but what about a chart for people with a non-shitty income? Where is their chart? Just because we have money doesn't mean it shouldn't be spent wisely.
just buy a 911 or a corvette

the sticky is shit and hopelessly outdated
>recommending a nissan sentra
all i remember from that car is the undercarriage audibly falling apart bit by bit with each drive. Why place that piece of shit in but not a mazda3? Hyundai and KIA are surprisingly okay now too, not amazing but good for something that just werks and is relatively cheap.
.etc .etc .etc

cash or financing? what are your needs? what do you drive now?

I still put my belt on as soon as I start the car.

I like the seat belt warning. It reminds people to put their seat belt on so I don't have to.
The sound of people hitting potholes or man hole covers when they can usually be avoided
Name a car more comfy than a 1970s-80s Benz.
Pro-tip: you can't.
I can't. Too bad you'll look like a gypsy driving one around here.

Anyone know what happened to the motorcycIe development cycle of the late 90's and 00's?
When I first got into motorcycles it seems like each Japanese manufacturer had a new model coming out every 4 years and a refresh of that model every 2 years with a bit more power, a bit less weight, etc. in between the complete redesigns.
But it seems like after 2008-2010 or so they stopped this and just stuck with a single design and only did minor updates over the years, some sticking with a single original design for 10 years (see R6).
It also seems like they are reusing parts a lot more. The CB1000R uses the same motor from the 2007ish CBR1000R. The GSXS1000 uses the same motor from the 2005ish GSXR1000R. Yamaha sold a bike that is essentially a 2002 R6 as the R6S for years along side the latest R6. Yamaha's basic engine architecture hasn't significantly changed since the first R1 in the late 90's (most significant is going from 5 valve to 4 valve heads and going crossplane crank with the last two generations of R1), it even originated in the 80's. And even all R6 motors since have been derived from it. The CBR1000RR has just now seen it's first major redesign since 208, and even then it's not a full redesign, the bike is still based largely on the 2008 bike.
It seems like manufacturers have pretty much given up on the 2 year update-4 year ground up redesign, bleeding edge development cycle where they constantly tried to one-up each other.
Now we get the same bikes year after year with slight changes to output, plastics/headlight, some suspension tweaks, etc. and the very occasional (but not complete) redesign (see 2015 R1, 2017 CBR1000RR)
It's like they forgot what "ground up" development is and got lazy.

Why does /o/ hate Korean cars?
>>16690134
They weren't very good until recently, /o/ only cares about the 80s and 90s.
they think its the 2000s still
Korean cars have come a long way since the 90s
in the 2020s or 2030s we will be having the same arguments about Chinese cars

Hey /o/ I'm 19 and I just bought my first car
Its an 01 nissan maximan
231K miles. $1,500 stock everything is stock. What was your first car or what's your current daily?
>>16698135
I bought my first car when I was 18 it was a 94 dodge Dakota pick up I paid 1400$ for. My current daily is my 2015 Honda civic
>>16698135
First was a 6th gen Civic. Current DD is 6th gen Celica
>>16698135
I bought my first car at 15 to learn driving in the same car that I would be using for the foreseeable future. A 1992 Honda Accord with 130k+ miles, automatic seat belts, and at least a gallon of coffee stained into the back seat. I probably paid about 3 grand for it.
A couple of years later I inherited my great grandmother's Oldsmobile 88, the single fucking lamest car ever produced, but it was in a lot better shape nonetheless.
Now I daily drive a 1989 Trans am GTA, my dreamcar
How do I stop birds from shitting all over my car at work?
>>16682278
Stop parking under birds
your car is probably really shitty
bring a rifle and shoot the birds.

What length of time from date of manufacture do you change your tires at? When they start to dry rot?

But more importantly my car emits a metal knocking sound and an air flowing kinda sound it didn't emit before.
