Ichishima-san, the boss of Spoon said it's literally a race car
>>16710507
How so?
So back before I knew anything about cars, my first car was a 03 Camry V6. I was once asked by a soccer Mom in a parking lot to help jump her car. I told her I'd never done it before but that I would do my best. I got the owner's manual and followed the instructions, it warned not to remove/attach a particular end of the cable at one point, warning that it could cause an explosion... She kept telling me this wasn't true, and when I told her I'm sorry I'm not going to do exactly what this says not to do, she grabbed the cables and told me to fuck off. A 40 something year old woman told 16 year old me to fuck off. I felt horrible for months after.
Was I really so wrong without knowing better to follow the manual? Anyways, poast moar fuckups either from you or others, with or without car know-how
>>16709458
You did fine its your car and yould fuck up the electrical. But the stranger wouldnt have paid for fucking up your ride
>>16709458
She asked you for help and then told you to fuck off? Sounds like a bitch who wants to wait for a tow truck.
Don't offer to jump peoples' cars, half the time it's a scam. Either they want you to "cause damage to their vehicle" and then give them a few hundred outside of insurance, or the car is a fucking shitpile and the battery isn't the problem and you're wasting time.
If your car dies and you can't push start it, you deserve to be stuck.Or you can call your autoclub and have them boost you, or call a friend for the same. But don't be putting that on strangers, that's a nigger thing to do.
And if you're novice at something, always follow the written instructions. And if there are no instructions, assume you're better off blindfolded with clubhands than you are listening to a 40-something soccer mom who let her battery die. Stupid hussy.
>>16709458
no you did right. many people are hateful. your biggest mistake was agreeing to help someone. lesson learned i hope.
>explode
you have to charge the battery incorrectly for a while before this would happen and many batteries will vent off before they pop
just a fyi
Who else takes their American land barges off road? Drifting in fields is pretty fun
>>16709330
> grass gets between brake pad and rotor
>no more braking
Yeah no. I keep mine on the road.
>>16709330
This is literally how every Australian learns to drive.
>v6
nothing of value was lost
OK which one of you faggots is this
>>16709310
It's you
>>16709310
not me but dope car
>tfw first car I drove was a volvo 240 station wagon that my mom bought in 1991 and had been driving ever since
>tfw so many miles the odometer stopped working after 260k
>survived 4 accidents in 18 years, literally a tank
>tfw worked great
>tfw she sold it for $500 after went to college
>tfw person she sold to totaled it a few months later
240 is gr8 m8
Question to my German friends, I'm about to install my first mod (horn button). How do I get it certified? It came with this booklet, is there anything I fill out, and then where do I go for the certification check? How much is the price? Thanks!
>>16709265
>needing a certification for a fucking horn button.
Damn it feels good to be American
>>16709282
Pleasee don't make us look bad by turning this into a shitfest like you just did.
>>16709282
dog fucker has opinions kek
Which colour should I get? Dark grey or crystal black?
Those are the only two colours I don't have to wait for.
Thanks!
All greys suck
>>16708932
wait for the blue, unless you absolutely can't. if not , gray is so much less boring than black
>>16708932
I would say black considering the wrx is far from sleek ,
Is there an uglier sports car in existence than the Camaro?
How do they get away with having such a disgusting shape? And it's fucking huge!! Pigfat and wide as a school bus.
It's just something I've never understood, how did they decide on that shape and how are people okay with it?
>>16708903
Id make this case only on the first gens + the first facelift.
The newer cars look quite good. Other than visibility issues they are great cars and are also fast as shit.
>>16708919
Nah, the new ones are ugly as hell too.
>>16708903
5th Gen was retro revival. Plenty of people were fine with the design so they didn't change it much for the 6th Gen although just about everything underneath did change. And isn't the new SS only like 3600 lbs?
You are required to have an accident in a car you choose.
You hit a nasty tree at 60 mph.
Which car do you pick?
Can I spill my coffee on the seat and call it a day? You didn't say it had to be a car accident
NA miats
>actually wanting to survive a crash
saab 9-5 if i'm concerned about being perfectly protected.
Volvo 240 if i want to live and have firewood for next winter.
If cops can do this in a 3800 lb slushbox burger barge, what's your excuse for driving like a fucking retard?

Wipe this OP from the face of the earth

i only see 2 doors
>>16707405
thats a 2 door you idiot
Does the scrap yard care what I remove from a 1998 Cadillac Deville before I scrap it?
I was kinda sentimental towards it.
It was my friends who died and I signed the title over to me. I've driven it for a few years but I blew the engine up and the scrap guy said he would give me $250 for it. I guess it sucks because it was the first car I've had with luxury features. but can i take the hood ornaments and battery and the scrap guy wont care??
>>16707272
No, they'd rather it be just a blank shell if you're just getting the steel cost.
>>16707272
Should've parted it out yourself and made a cool $2k.
>>16707295
I have enough knowledge to take parts off but I'm not really a car guy. I checked ebay for sales prices of used parts and nothing really jumped out at me. Its a really nice car except for the engine. It only has 75K on it. Barely even broken in.
>>16707283
ok thanks. the last camry i scrapped drove into the lot because i couldn't get it to pass inspection to get the check engine light off. they started taking it apart before i was out of sight and it was horrifying.
>mfw bought a cheap 1L fiat uno because it would be economical
>mfw it does 28mpg HIGHWAY
jesus christ what the fuck is wrong with this car
Probably aerodynamics and lack of power, which means it has to be geared very short and as a result the engine has to rev quite high in order to maintain highway speeds.
>>16706894
>actually buying an old used Italian car
someone should make a big chart explaining what every car manufactuer is good at.
PROTIP: Italians make good looking cars, that's it.
Has it got the FIRE engine? Enjoy the economical motoring when the head gasket blows.
would you rather have a completely stock g35 coupe plus a completely stock and very poor condition ls400 or an ls400 with $7k worth of tasteful mods?
what mods do you have in mind for the ls400?
i don't think there's much to it
>tasteful mods
You're a ricer. The only thing tasteful is stock. Modified cars are great but don't go around thinking your lip spoiler and ducktail are tasteful, neither is lowering.
The g35 and ls400, depending on how much shit is wrong with it
Is it possible for electric cars to have manual transmissions? Would there be any advantage in having it?
>>16705623
Yes
No
>>16705626
Please elaborate
higher top speed
single speed is limited by the maximum RPM of the motor
>>16704583
just to ugly and big for a rotary
>>16704583
They made an ugly, impractical, unreliable and slow car.
In truth they couldn't have fucked up harder if they'd tried.
>>16704583
Renesis suffered from too little oil injection, too restrictive cats, and a myriad of other little niggles. Rest of the car was fantastic for what it was. People want to think next number = continuation and are disappointed it's not an FE RX7, but the RX8 was doing its own thing as a 2+2 hardtop NC Miata with a rotary.
