I'm new to Florida and I just bought a car from craigslist ($400)
How much $ in total will I have to pay in fees? (title, tabs, tax, etc etc) Google returned conflicting results.
one bump and then I'll let it die. Hoping a Florida bro sees this post.

I used to live in Florida... God damn I miss it. You'll pay registration, sales tax, and that's it. You don't have to pass emissions, you don't have to get an inspection, you don't have to pay excise tax every year... I'm so jealous, I live in MA and I get fucked so hard every year. I'd say just having a car it's minimum $1k per year
>>17015866
What was the amount in dollars that you paid for, that's what I'm looking for really.
It's been a while, /o/
what is the dullest non automobile brand and why is it Mazda?

They weren't always like this. I remember the glory days of the rotary.
Have hope.

They are by far the best mid-tier manufacturer.
>>17015707
>by far
LOL. They suck. Boring. Lazy design. Shit cars. Over priced. Unreliable. Shitty dealerships. Building the same fucking car for 20 years because they can't do anything else.

tfw own a lexus.
My s2000 is running 100 RPMs lower than it should be and it's bugging the fuck out of me. I replaced the injector coils like 5000miles ago. Could it be the fuel system needs to be cleaned?
>>17015528
sounds like a vacuum leak, also check butterfly valve position and as well as Idle Control Valve
>>17015528
Smoke test the vacuum system faggot.
clean your TB and IACV then check vacuum lines. since its remote mounted and coolant fed, I'd recommend pulling the feed hose and spraying either intake cleaner or a foaming type cleaner (mopar CCC, amsoil powerfoam etc) and letting it sit.
However, vacuum lines give you free air and tend to bump your idle. With a MAP based speed density system, car will just compensate for the vacuum leak.
>check engine light on
That's a medal.

>not giving his car proper maintenance
you dumbshit.
>>17015236
But my car is only 4yo...
You're stood in a big, full 250 car multi-storey car park, and someone with a gun approaches you. They say that if you don't go and key every panel of a car of your choice they're going to shoot the shit out of you.
What kind of car do you look for to key?
>>17015219
a cop car.
Shoot him back
>>17015219
His car
My car has recently been vibrating when breaking. I believe it is a warped rotor, although when I checked only one rotor stuck out to me. I think I was able to fee a slight raise in the rotor but in all reality it didn't seem like much. Here's a picture of it. I was hoping somebody with more experience could confirm it for me. Thank you!
>>17015183
Bad angle, shitty light
But yes, it's probably warped from your description. Mic it, then either have it machined or replaced.
For future reference, if you don't get your brakes hot, your rotor won't warp.
>>17015183
That line is just where the brake pad last stopped. You can't see the warpedness of a rotor unless something's really fucked up. You need to have it measured to see how out of round it is. Bring it to a shop that does brakes and say can you measure/ turn my rotors. They will say yes or no

Warped discs are a fucking meme.
One of your calipers will be binding.
>Will hydrogen fuel cell cars soon overtake electrics? Experts say the vehicles can be refueled much faster and travel farther between fill-ups

>Will hydrogen fuel cell cars soon overtake electrics?
no.
1: the infrastructure isn't there. You can only get the stuff in California
2: hydrogren fuel is wildly expensive
3: The actual range of a hydrogen fuel cell car isn't all that different from that of an electric car
I want hydrogen to succeed. Don't get me wrong.
They've been telling us since the 80's that hydrogen fuel cell cars are only 10 years away. Well 30 years later and they still aren't practical enough. Give it another 40 to 50 years. Then MAYBE Hydrogen will be as good as electric. Until then, Electric cars are the alternative fuel car of TODAY.
They can't even handle the short distances in a warehouse. Hydrogen is a meme. Most places that want to use it don't even have the water or clean energy (nuclear is not clean) to produce Hydrogen which is even more fucking retarded.
>>17015126
Horrible arguments
1: the infrastructure isn't there. You can only get the stuff in California
It wouldn't be hard to adapt gas stations, and it's MUCH easier than adapting them as solar battery swap stations or whatever those faggots were working on
2: hydrogren fuel is wildly expensive
Duhhhh, so is everything before its produced at scale. It get's cheaper every week once it starts being worked on. Solar used to be retarded expensive.
3: The actual range of a hydrogen fuel cell car isn't all that different from that of an electric car
Completely not true. AND you can fill hydrogen in a few seconds at a pump, unlike solar. Hondas first attempt for almost 400 miles on a tank. Then..... you just fill up the tank... like a fucking car.
And as someone who is old, they absolutely haven't been telling us hydrogen cars are "10 years away" since the 80's. The technology has merely been bandied about.
I got a tuneup on a car I just bought. After closing the hood the car cut off (running for like 10 minutes). Mechanic said a sensor died and Id need to replace it.
The car does run when the sensor is unplugged but barely/wont start when its plugged in.
Does this happen or did he mess something up like the gap with the sparkplugs.
>>17015029
sensors die, get over it
sounds really vague too, if you know what kind of sensor that would help tremendously
>>17015029
Probably a bad MAF/MAP sensor, you disconnect these and the car will default to the standard fuel program from the factory. The sensor is so skewed the computer is basing the fuel calculations from this and will not run.
>>17015029
>I got a tuneup
Unless you got points, you fucked up.
Why the fucking nigger shit can I not get a fucking Land Rover defender
Crash rating that's about equivalent to a steel box dropped on your from a few hundred feet
>>17015008
Why bother? You know how bad they hold up? Get an old shitty GWagon, they're god tier. Or maybe even a Land Cruiser.
