Why? Why exactly this much distance?
because the imperial system is retarded
usually the distance between stoplights in the US
fuck you
Pic kind of related. Not my headliner.
I have a 2001 Z71 Tahoe and the headliner is fubar.
Has anyone redone their headliner and have any tips?
My paint is also fucked. Anyone have any opinion on vinyl v plastidip v repaint?

Pay an upholstery shop 100 bucks and have it done in a day. That's what it cost on my civic.
>>17018869
I live in Arkansas and don't trust Uncle Fudd with my truck.
>>17018923
Man the fuck up. No one cares about your truck as much as you. Unhappy clients aren't good for business.
Tell me about Oldsmobile, /o/, especially the Aurora, Alero, and Intrigue.
I've been thinking of buying one of the above, I want to know what I might be in for if I do go for it.
Aurora is a decent buy, the second gen (01+) with the V8 Northstar is nice and cushy. Look for something with lower miles (75k or so) unless you want to get into transmission work anytime soon. The 4.0 is a bit torque challenged and will sip some oil occasionally but makes decent power when spun up and sounds bretty decent
Other failure point would be the rear air-ride auto leveling suspension. The pump is right behind the right rear wheel and pretty exposed to the elements, but rather than spending the money on a new system when it fails you can just pick up some conventional dampers on rockauto and call it good.
Don't have much experience with the first gen but they are very similar- just a bit quirkier styling wise. I'd say go for it if that's your thing.
>>17018846
Does the Aurora 4.0 have the same head gasket issues as the 4.6 N*?
>>17018891
yes. It's literally just a smaller N*.
Will poor people ever be able to afford electric vehicles?
>>17018714
So fucked. They can afford gas vehicles and dump thousands into gas, but they can't afford an electric vehicle that is free to operate. Like wtf just sell more of your food stamps ffs
>>17018741
>dump thousands into gas
Not in one large lump sum tho
Yes but not a tesla
But everyone wants a tesla and they refuse to buy anything that isn't a tesla because it isn't cool.
the Chevy Bolt is the savior that electric cars need, but it will probably die because it isn't a vegan coop, gluten and cruelty free start up run by refugee children in the bay area that only sources ethical lithium from organic mines that the kids (or their trying to act cool parents) love.
What makes a 'wing' a wing and a 'spoiler' a spoiler
care to post pics of a wing and a spoiler because Google seems to just lump them together interchangeably and I don't know which is which
Spoiler creates drag and wing creates downforce
>>17018420
Ive always been told:
Wings come from a center and move out
Spoiler comes from the outside points.
But im sure an autist will correct me.
>>17018425
Not true
Introducing, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator.
Unreliable rubbish. Absolutely shit.

Guys I...
I kind of of want a Donk...
Why do niggers take all the cool ideas
I can't decide if this or stancefagging is worse.
I guess Stancefagging is since no one pretends donks are fast.
>>17018145
Also donks don't fuck the suspension as badly.
>>17018145
Donks are hilarious and the community is really cool to outsiders.
Stancefucks on the other hand are absolute fools.
Ok, so I'm going to be heading to grad school come fall. I couldn't really work (pre-health with 18 credit semesters, needed good grades etc.) and since I did really well on my admissions exam my parents decided they could help chip in and get me a car.
I've driven a manual before (learned on an 80's Lada, yes I'm amerifat don't ask how) and although it's been like 5 years, I still remember all the basics and it's mostly in muscle memory anyway.
I live in Brooklyn, ny and the school is in Albany, so thats a good ~400 mile drive, and I'll be doing it decently often, so I'm guessing I'll need a lowish mileage car.
Nothing in the sticky is around my area sadly so I need some help.
Is it even possible to get a used car around 7-8k that'll handle such long highway trips, and is available in manual?
FR is preferred of course, but if it handles well I wouldn't be opposed to a FF.
Miatas in NY are pretty expensive sadly, and they're usually riced out with super high mileage. Also I'll need something with a decent boot since I'll have like 2 suitcases. Pls help
8th gen civic si sedan
>>17018019
Here's the only si near me, looks ok but very over budget.
If even possible I'd like to keep this around 4k (my own money)

Guys help pls, being a bus rider is suffering
Just realized that if you want to learn how to properly drive, especially a manual, it is necessary to watch instruction videos by Europeans. They drive manuals in heavy traffic and have stricter license requirements and therefore actually know how to drive and are better teachers than 24 year old but humble American kids who are still learning themselves.
Just a tip. I'm an American too.
>I'm an American too
Uh huh. This totally isn't gonna be the half-hourly 'Americans r dum lol' thread.
>>17017980
Nope just an honest observation from learning how to drive manual. The best video tutorials on YouTube are from Europeans, mostly British men who are actually driving instructors in real life. Absolutely necessary to watch
>>17017963
If you want to learn to drive, manual or auto, you should probably contact an instructor. Those guys are paid to teach you to drive, and I'm sure there are instructors for every kind of specialized driving. USA is a huge fucking country, and that is one of its key strengths in pretty much everything. Got a niche interest in something that only 1 in 5 million people are interested in? If you're in Finland, a country with a bit over 5 mil people, chances are you're shit out of luck and you're alone. In the US, there'll be 60 people who share this interest, and you'll actually be able to have a community based on your interest. In my opinion tyat's a key reason to why the US is pretty cool. Whatever your thing may be, there'll surely be people who share your love for it.

Ford Truck Thread, post your Ford trucks. No GMC CHEBY or DADGE Allowed
Just bought this pile of junk for $300 needs rear shock mounts, gas tank sealed and the whole rear drive train is locked up (clutch won't come up from the floor, guy thinks it's the clutch plate being stuck to the flywheel said the transmission won't come out of second) what do y'all guys think for a first vehicle/summer project ?
>>17017581
Insides not too bad, I'm just going to get an old thick blanket and throw it over the seat with one of those draping bead covers for the driver side

Another shot of the inside, going to blow it all out with the air compressor then wipe down everything, it doesn't smell like mouse piss so that's a win in my book.
