/o/ I need a rec
I am graduating from my MBA and to celebrate I want to buy a new car.
I live in the USA and I want a sports car that tricks people into thinking I make a lot of money but I want to pay under 25 grand for it.
Show me what you got.
>>17019017
But a '13 or '14 mercedes if you want to 'trick' people who aren't in the know
>>17019017
Get a c5 Corvette
>>17019017
Get a beemer that's their specialty.
Why do smokers throw their cigarettes butts outside of their car on the ground? Their car already smells like shit so why not put that shit in the ashtray where it belongs?
Yes we know that smokers on average are less intelligent and more poor than non-smokers, but this doesn't seem like it's asking too much, even for a smoker.
Cigarette butts are biodegradable
>>17018950
It's still littering and still makes you look like human trash.
Why not just put them in the ashtray?
>>17018954
you know what paper is? the soft stuff inside plants.

Why is a fuel filler neck such an expensive part?
I need one for my F150 XLT and fuck.
should have just gone to home depot and got some pcv
>>17018513
I am not replacing my filler neck, I am just going to smooth out whats there and put some steel screen in it's place.
>>17018442

Why aren't you driving a FWD car right now?
>>17017584
I just recently bought an EG hatch tho. pretty fun desu. if it werent for all my other project cars itd already have konis/stiffer springs/wide n sticky rubber.
Because I'm at home posting on /o/. You'd be pretty irresponsible to reply to this thread while driving a FWD car.
>because I am
Saab is the superior car due to it's superior safety features, swedish engineering prowess and don't let me get started on the turbo.
Prove me wrong
I'm sitting in my bed and can't take a pic but I've got a '72 Saab 96. I can attest
>>17016475
I can't
Right up to the moment when GM ruined them.
ITT: Post one automotive manufacturer that you think should be put out of business and why.
My vote: Mitsubishi. Even when they were doing well, they only offered maybe 2 vehicles that were worth buying. Even then, they were unreliable. Now they just make shotty SUVs, Crossovers, and cheap hatches that aren't even worth their low msrp.
>>17015413
Mitsubishi doesnt deserve to die.
Im thinking more some shit company like Vag or Renault for fucking up goat brands like Nissan
>Not killing the reason why American vehicles are shit
Kia. I'm tired of seeing lime green Souls driven by every middle aged woman and occasionally her dead-eyed husband.
>15-20 mpg
>no oil pump
>no water pump
>no fuel pump
>can cruise at 60mph, reliably, with non-intrusive modifications to the engine and rear end
>cheap
Why the fuck shouldn't I buy one of these?
60mph kek
>can't drive 55
>half of it is wood
>metals with different polarities
>rickity as shit
>pollutes harder than all of India thanks to lack of emissions
>crumples like a tin can in an accident
>no airbags or seat belts
Who even needs this piece of trash?
t. left leaning american who believes the government is to fix everything
What is the ultimate 'I need a comfy as fuck car and don't care what anyone thinks' car?

Ford Taurus

I've got an irrational desire to purchase some shitty old Volvo even though I'm only interested in small fun cars.
You have 10 seconds to explain why you don't own a Ford transit
>rear wheel drive
>can fit your whole family
>can carry all your shit
>can tow
>more practical than a car or a truck
>can be had with a porwerful ecoboost v6 engine
>faster than whatever shitbox you currently own
>good handling
>can take it to track days
>rapes bmw's on the burgerking
Literally the perfect vehicle, prove me wrong
protip: you might
I actually own a Ford Transit with the 3.7L V6 gasoline engine. The specs on the EcoBoost version are pretty insane. I think it's like 310hp/400 torque
Anyways, they are pretty good vehicles overall. My biggest complaints are that the suspension is very unforgiving and the steering is way too light. It's kind of annoying to drive on the highway or over shitty road since the light steering makes it very sensitive to input.
because i dont need a ford transit
>>17012358
well i think it's EPS is it's anything like other modern ford cars. i wonder if you can tune it and modify the TC and EPS for more sporty feels.

That's a nice redline. What car is that?
Hey /o/, I'm heading to a dealership for the first time tomorrow. I have a family member going with me that's bought cars before, but I am still wary. I've only ever bought from private parties before. What should I be on the lookout for?
Pic related: What I don't want them to do to me.
Be prepared to walk out. No matter what car you're getting you can always get it someplace else.
>>17022085
Good advice. I've also heard it's good to get your financing at a bank instead of the dealership, any truth to that?
>>17022091
Whoever gives you the best rate. Sometimes it's the bank, sometimes it's the dealership, mine was a credit union. A legit dealership runs your application to multiple lenders. So you'll have a lot of options. Going to your own bank and getting pre approved is just one more option.
Do /o/'s cars have any?
>>17021816
Yes
