I'm new to Florida and I just bought a car from craigslist ($400)
How much $ in total will I have to pay in fees? (title, tabs, tax, etc etc) Google returned conflicting results.
one bump and then I'll let it die. Hoping a Florida bro sees this post.

I used to live in Florida... God damn I miss it. You'll pay registration, sales tax, and that's it. You don't have to pass emissions, you don't have to get an inspection, you don't have to pay excise tax every year... I'm so jealous, I live in MA and I get fucked so hard every year. I'd say just having a car it's minimum $1k per year

What was the amount in dollars that you paid for, that's what I'm looking for really.

Well registration was $110 I think. Sales tax is... 7.5%? I think? So if you paid $400 it'd be $60 for tax. So you could probably come in under $200 altogether

How far out of date is the registration?

florida looks like a dong with herpes all over
When buying a car on Craigslist do you call the number given or is it considered unsolicited contact? It's my first time on Craigslist

sales tax is even less nowadays. it's like 6.3%

>unsolicited contact
They are posting an add, idiot.
Wait, let me get this straight. In America when you take a car that's been parked for ten years and reregister it you have to repay ten years worth of title fees? Even though you didn't use it in that time? And somehow your title fees calculate from the car's value? AAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA WHAT A SHITSHOW

Yeah, if you didn't register it as non op before letting it sit. For all they know, you've just been shirking registration fees for a decade

Only for the last 3-years unless traffic or parking tickets show prior use.
