My almost 90 year old great uncle doesn't like his Mazda 3. Says he wish he got something a bit better and preferred his old Cavalier.

They cost as much as a Honda or Toyota yet are less reliable and have shit resale. I'm not even going to bring up the two R's that plague Mazda for sake of not starting a shitpost war.

At least they used to give you a "big" 2.5l engine but now they're on some high compression Honda shit. They're just so meh.

Mazda is a normie brand now that makes boring econoboxes. Engine choices are either 155hp 2.0 or 185hp 2.5. The turbo engine is only for a massive land barge SUV. The only fun car they make is incredibly overpriced for what it is. No Mazdaspeed 3/6/MX-5.

They also want a fortune for very little content. A Mazda 3 with the 2.5L and soccer mom safety features was pushing almost 30k in Canada. The Zoom Zoom phase reflects absolutely nothing about their current lineup.

I have a mazda 3, two rx7s, and a mazda pickup.
Previously had a speed protege speed 6 and speed 3.

Mazda is doing amazing things in engine design with skyactiv. Not to mention chassis.
They focus on driver experience.
They are best in class in nearly every segment.
They are still recovering from ford and cant just throw money at models that dont sell well (speeds)
They have to recover and play it smart for a bit.
Plus they still play with rotaries, which is amazing.
They are highly praised by major auto magazines.

Go read articles about them. Even their family sedan participates in races.
