Is the Pontiac Grand Am a decent car?
>>17021707
Yeah. it just works.
>>17021707
V6 has oddball problems
4cyl has issues with the weird coil setup.
Both like to leak oil.
Otherwise they work fine.
Interior is pretty odd for my taste though
its a shitbox and thats all it is
I bet no one on /o/ can agree on anything.
What was the first built that was everything we recognize as a car today?

That's rather vague.

Fucking malao.
Thinking about changing grill or wheels on muh truck. Can't decide between new grill (RBP RX-3 midnight edition) or new wheels (fuel couplers).
What would you do next? 13' Platinum with the 6.2 V8, only mods I've done so far is 2" level and 275/65r20 BFG AT KO2s.
Also, 6.2L master race
IPhone pictures don't like 4chan for some reason...
One more try...

I'd get a leveling kit with beefy tires.

Looking pretty rugged there.
What do you guys think about the new cummins 2.8 diesel. Crate motor comes with everything needed to do the swap. Would be perfect for ford ranger fags.

Good alternative to the VM Motori 428 doing the rounds in factory Colorados and Wranglers.
Love me some small diesel.
>>17021268
>500 lbs
>267 lb ft of torque
>diesel emissions garbage
I would never consider using this
>>17021361
>500 lbs
Perfectly acceptable for an industrial diesel motor and almost 2/3rds of the weight of the other popular 3.9L four cylinder diesels.
>267 lb ft of torque
Heaps, unless you're tractor pulling, in which case boost and fuel.
>diesel emissions garbage
That emissions crap is easily bypassed if you're not a lowest common denominator retard.
Typical uneducated gas motor elitist.
That's Continental.
It's accidental.

Why do they burn so much oil?

Boxer engines burn oil? news to me.
What is the optimum brake setup for an autocross shitbox
>>17020312
No brakes, just the engine and your gears should be enough to carry you through the course.
>>17020312
There should be like MAYBE one time you use brakes on an autocross course.
>>17020394
Dafaq. If your brakes aren't glowing red hot you're not using them enough.

Condition/options/maintenance?
THEY ARE BOTH FUCKING OLD
so pick the one that is in better condition clearly, or the one you think looks better.
Need some advice /o/, I will be moving to San Francisco for grad school soon and now I'm debating whether I should sell my mustang and switch to a bike. Parking in SF has always been a nightmare for me but the convenience of having a car speaks for itself.
Here are some of my other questions.
Are there any anons who live in the city and just have a bike? How are you dealing with doing groceries or buying some other stuff?
And in the end, what is /o/'s opinion on honda motorcycles? I was considering to either get a new grom or rebel if I'm selling my car.
A bike is ok as long as youre defensive.
Grom is shit. Dont bother.
Dont buy a rebel unless it's brand new. Even then its super slow.
Add hard cases with locks for groceries.
Alternatively a honda cub works too
>>17019783
>bike in san fran
Enjoy getting crashed into.
I USED to only have a bike. It's not practical. I used to stuff my saddle bags and backpack with groceries and carry the extra bag on my arm while riding. Rain sucks. Sitting in traffic when it's hot sucks. Chance of getting it stolen is higher. Having to carry anything sucks. You need a bike and a beater (it can be a POS, just something with a little space). I did it for like a year or two then bought a lexus. Still rode my bike most times, but the car was a must after a while.
>Are there any anons who live in the city and just have a bike?
Yes, I sold my car as it never got driven and was just depreciating in value. I rent a car 3 times a year to drive to see the family.
There's a store within walking distance, I usually just walk to do the shopping, but I can fit stuff in my topbox also. I wouldn't want to do this if I was grocery shopping for a family, but for 1-2 people, it is fine.
Honda are reliable, but all the jap brands are. they have gone ultra boring with their model line up for both bikes and cars, there's nothing in either lineup that interests me. If you like what they are offering though, go for it.
Ford Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost Powershift or VW Polo 1.2 Tsi DSG?
>Pic related is a better option
>>17019778
Why?
>>17019782
Both are shit unreliable cars
>built not bought
>implying I paid any money or goods for my car and/or parts
>implying I don't have an entire garage full of tools to craft and cast my parts from scratch
>implying I don't have a mine in my backyard to gather raw materials that are used to craft parts
>implying I didn't hammer forge my own mining equipment
>implying I didn't accomplish this all by merely stealing a hammer and stake from home depot
>>17019623
>stealing a hammer and stake from home depot
What a poser
built not bought was a good mentality until ricer posers heard about it.
ricerland coilovers and rimz a built does not make.

I'm ashamed
probably shoulda built those out of sticks, stones, and vines.
In turn get those from growing my own trees and punching a mountain with my bare hands to take a chunk of stone
