I rode an Air Canada L-1011 from Copenhagen to Toronto in 1974. It felt noticeably nose up.
Huge interior. Lots of space.
Here's an idea I've been thinking of for a while:
Create a website where you can choose your current (or future) bike and select components and they would be shown on the bike
I currently go into photoshop and edit different types of tyres and shit on my bike and it's a real pain in the ass.
I have almost no experience with creating websites or whatever but am young, have a good thing for computers, and can learn very quickly
How hard would this be to create?
>>1044751
we are cyclists- we just go buy the shit and install it. If we don't like it we put it in our stack of unused parts and justify wasting money by planning to use it later. If you don't have a big enough pile of parts to assemble 2 complete bikes you are doing it wrong.
Thanks for giving me this idea.
I need to Photoshop a single speed cannondale quick cx with bar end grips and dual hydraulic disks
>>1044751
Doesn't really reflect how people buy bikes imho. If you're doing a custom build, whatever shop you're at doesn't have the resources to build and maintain a tool like that. If you're buying from a shop affiliated with a big brand, then you're buying the manufacturer's spec.

"Airbus...731 net orders to Boeing's 668"
Let's talk about the inability of Airbus to clean up orders they're getting
Don't worry Trump will game the Iran sanctions deal to shift Airbus' orders to Boeing.

>Airbus boasts a backlog of 6,874 aircraft
>Boeing still boasts a healthy backlog of 5,715 planes
/n/, I have a problem.
The neighbor across the street is parking his truck on his side of the street directly in front of my driveway.
This would be fine, but we had a ton of snow hit and when the snow plow came thru it chose his side of the road so I almost hit his truck every time I try to leave.
And I think he is doing this on purpose because every time he parks his truck perfectly, causing me to take a few minutes to get out.
So, would it be rude to go and ask him to move his truck a few feet?

Fuck his wife to get back at him

Why is Tra/n/sportation under "japanese culture" on the home page?
What are you doing on the front page?
>>1043374
I'm new to /n/ and couldn't remember where the hell it was. Why is it /n/ instead of something like /trn/ ?
>>1043376
trains aren't the only kind of transportation. Folks talk about bikes, ships and even planes here. I'm not sure why /n/ is under japanese culture except maybe at some point it was created to contain massive shitposting about superior japanese public transportation

so I learned that mini-velos exist. How hard could it be grabbing a BMX frame, weld some extensions, get some 20" folding bike wheels and changing the seatpost?
is it a viable way to have a compact non foldable bike that runs decent?
Or will it be better to grab a road bike frame and mod it to fit 20" wheels.
You do know you can get a brand new mini velo for $300?
I think that Wiley guy who posts here and has like a hundred bikes has one similar to what you describe, so it can be done. Pretty ugly though
Anybody from Houston recognize how brutally unprepared we are for the Super Bowl?
Other than a shitload of media swarming around, how will it be different from any other sold-out game?
>>1042192
Its Houston, we dont have sold out games.
>>1042192
in our city everything is so godamn far apart, so without any traffic at all. it takes 45 minutes to get to the stadium from downtown
It's called ''Minibus'' in Turkey. It often goes like that. This stinky shit can carry 25-30 people who smell like arab, old and peasant.
Is there any similar transportation in your country?
>>1039717
No, I don´t live in Sweden.
>>1039717
We use Nissan Urvan/Toyota hiaces designed to carry 12 people. Retrofit the seats to accommodate 18 and then cram 21-24 in them.
Sometimes strangers sit in each other's laps.

In my city we use Mitsubishi colts or Suzuki APVs as minibuses
Any tips on lowering my cruiser without buying shorter shocks? It's so fucking high
Option 1, make metal plate and move bottom of the shock to the rear
Option 2, make up some metal hangers of some kind and kinda hang the guard down
larger wheels
>>1039266
It looks like they're adjustable by turning the sleeve at the bottom. You could also chop the springs. The third option would be to relocate the shock mounting points, however that would be more effort than just changing the shocks.

Awesome public transport needs to be built first.
Japan could almost do it.

They would probably end up doing better and more confy trains
So I goofed up pretty good and managed to wrap a branch into the chain which caught the rear derailleur and locked up my rear tire. The rear rim needs to be re-aligned as there is about 6mm of play in the rim runout. I intend to do have this corrected at a bike shop. However, The rear derailleur hanger is mounted to the bike frame. The frame is steel so I am not worried about bending it too badly.
On the left image I can clearly see the appropriate bends needed. On the right I cant tell what direction everything needs to go. I have already ordered a replacement derailleur.
>>1043933
There's a special tool for that. Your lbs will have it. Don't try to do it by eye as it needs to be absolutely spot on and you want to be bending on it as little as possible.
Do you have a question?
And why order a new RD? If the hanger is the only thing bent (which it should be; that's the point of them) then replacing it (and unbending the rim I guess) should be all that's necessary.
>>1043935
the derailleur itself is torqued up.

How do I get into off-road biking? Is $800 dollars enough for a decent bike? What kind of bike do I want? PLEASE HELP!
>>1043730
>How do I get into off-road biking?
Basically you just start doing it, although it will be easier and more fun if you can find some other people to ride with
>Is $800 dollars enough for a decent bike?
Depends what kind of bike. Refer to next question.
>What kind of bike do I want?
You want the kind of bike that's suitable for the trails you'll be riding... Unfortunately you don't know what that is. It also depends on how much money you have and how much time you'll actually spend riding it. Try to find some people who ride in your area and ask for advice (you may be able to find the forum of a local club or just a forum for mountain biking in your area on the internet somewhere).
>>1043732
Thanks. I want to check out the local bike shop, but I've heard they're quite smug. Probably suck it up and do it anyway.
I'd recommend this one. It's a bit lower for your price range but you could use the rest for upgrading components. It's a well known and great entry bike for the sport.
