I'm getting more and more interested in the theoretical applications of near future tech for the military and police, specifically heads up displays.
I've searched online and found a few sources pertaining to this, but no solid data or actual field use, or real world applications beyond target marking for navigation/blue on blue prevention, range finding/vectoring for targeting assistance, and picture in picture...
What other applications could HUD technology have? Predator vision (swappable IR/NV/alien wavelengths)? 3rd person view with drone assistance? On board Jimmy John's™ ordering?
What would you want in your HUD suite?

Hey folks
Question or you kommandos and a little help if you can
I have a gen 1 otv in excellent order with liners, also have the daps and arm liners, collar, yoke, groin, have non US ceramic IV plates also a gen 2 back protector and another smaller one with kidney protector written on it. Have a coyote brown mtv also.
I'm a ormer bristol wearer (see pic below)
Now here's the thing. I want a better pattern than ACU for my needs. Flecktarn/ Danish/Cadpat would suit the environment more.
What covers can I get to fit the kevlar liners that are properly IIR for NV and second to that if nt available is there any way to die ACU covers to a dark green while keeping IIR?
Any tipe from experience with gen 1/2 OTVs?
I always really liked the old BW flack with double kevlar liners and a plate carrier over it but I have been told its a no (comfy as fuck) and my bristol has an impact above the back right shoulder that fucked the back liner so it is history.

You can pretty easily dye the covers to be solid OD or brown visually, but giving it IR qualities gonna be a bitch. As far as I know IBAs weren't made in any pattern where IR camo was a large consideration.
