It only took a year, but I finally got my 300 Win Mag suppressed.
Anyone else suppress their precision rigs?
>>32897280
For now my match rifle is short, silent, and 30 caliber, but eventually I plan to re-barrel it to 6.5CM when the barrel is shot out.
Also hunting with your precision rifle is a great time.
I guess the Superb Owl has all the traffic diverted from /k/ tonight...

CAN'T RUN
WORSE THAN WHAT IS WAS MEANT TO REPLACE
IT IS A FUCKING LEMON.
Well this PSA is brought to you by 50lbs of binary and a 1950's refrigerator we found in the barn.
I was at 75 yards one of the hinges hit the side of my plate carrier and skipped up. A foot up and it could have been my head.
Be careful with binary Komrades.

Damn shame

Friend's collection. Got to access the collection and take pictures and show you. Didn't finish getting all the pictures last thread. Hopefully I can finish it off
From the last thread here is a close up of the markings of one of the black powder cap and ball guns. He had said that 'allegedly' one of the two is an original Civil war rifle

Other side
This one is completely wrecked, but does have one odd feature
is it worth it as a budget pistol over normal pistols and regualr 1911s such as kimber?
looking to get a .45 1911 eventually but saw this and thought i might be able to get a decent one now
price ~ $300 - 400 USD
>>32896761
Just get a Rock Island for $319
>>32896898
Used.
Most RIA cost around $400 bare minimum. You can get a tisas for $330 on Buds.
And yes OP they are by all reports pretty solid guns. Only negative is the made in Turkey. If that doesn't bith you get one.

get a glock 19 dumbass....
Did /k/ order one?
>>32896663
I want to, but also can't justify sinking HK money into a PX4 when the regular compact and subcompacts can be had for much less. And I'm saying that as some one who loves Beretta and CCs a 92A1 regularly.
>>32896710
I might sell two of my guns just to help fund getting one. A P226 and Shield I don't need.
>front night sight and blacked out rear sight
Why do fudds like this shit? Have they ever tried it out at night?
Where the hell can I get one of these?
Google, faggot.
A place that sells guns I would think

The Internet.
HOLA, POTASSIUM,
I'm getting more and more interested in the theoretical applications of near future tech for the military and police, specifically heads up displays.
I've searched online and found a few sources pertaining to this, but no solid data or actual field use, or real world applications beyond target marking for navigation/blue on blue prevention, range finding/vectoring for targeting assistance, and picture in picture...
What other applications could HUD technology have? Predator vision (swappable IR/NV/alien wavelengths)? 3rd person view with drone assistance? On board Jimmy John'sâ„¢ ordering?
What would you want in your HUD suite?
The ability to fucking turn it off.

it should shoot death lasers, that'd be cool
Hey folks
Question or you kommandos and a little help if you can
I have a gen 1 otv in excellent order with liners, also have the daps and arm liners, collar, yoke, groin, have non US ceramic IV plates also a gen 2 back protector and another smaller one with kidney protector written on it. Have a coyote brown mtv also.
I'm a ormer bristol wearer (see pic below)
Now here's the thing. I want a better pattern than ACU for my needs. Flecktarn/ Danish/Cadpat would suit the environment more.
What covers can I get to fit the kevlar liners that are properly IIR for NV and second to that if nt available is there any way to die ACU covers to a dark green while keeping IIR?
Any tipe from experience with gen 1/2 OTVs?
I always really liked the old BW flack with double kevlar liners and a plate carrier over it but I have been told its a no (comfy as fuck) and my bristol has an impact above the back right shoulder that fucked the back liner so it is history.
>>32896514
You can pretty easily dye the covers to be solid OD or brown visually, but giving it IR qualities gonna be a bitch. As far as I know IBAs weren't made in any pattern where IR camo was a large consideration.
The Bristol I am talking about above. Heavy but has great shoulder piece for rifle and good arm movement
Ceramic platelets on the liner. Stopped two AK 7.62 x 39 on the back off the plates from an unknown distance and left a dead arm for a week but no penetration
>>32896538
>You can pretty easily dye the covers to be solid OD or brown visually, but giving it IR qualities gonna be a bitch.
Can you but no chinese junk that has different patters and IIR?
I'll miss the rile piece on the right shoulder and might hack it off the bristol and reattach to the OTV
Do you need to have ap ammo to defeat level IV ceramics or just a regular bullet with extremely high velocity?
Aim low.
You need to shoot a huge fucking round. Even .338 lm wont reliably penetrate and they're rated for 30-06 ap.

/k/ recommends buying a Mas Rifle. So I go buy it, and now I can't find ammo for it?
Wat
>>32896405
Reload for it? You should have seen this coming buying a 70 year old french gun
>>32896405
>implying /k/ knows what it is talking about
>>32896405
Did you consider maybe there are reasons to own a gun besides availability of ammo? If ammo availability was important to you you should have done that research yourself. I doubt anyone specifically told you that 7.5 French was widely available.
Is using tanks as pillboxes one of the ultimate red flags for the quality of an army?
US; In full scale invasion exercises held only a few years ago, we even used Bradleys and even Humvees as temporary pillboxes to defend hastily made FOBs.
It's a legit tactic, context depending.
>>32896377
>Is using tanks as pillboxes one of the ultimate red flags for the quality of an army?
That's just a defense method.
When an ENTIRE ARMY is on the defense, that is indeed a clue that said army is badly outmatched.
>>32896377
No?
